The statement quoted above spreads misinformation and should not be trusted by anyone. This weapon actually has the second-LOWEST dps of any grey quality staff in-game only out-dpsing Well-Worn Bat by 1.8. To me it doesn't matter what you say just as long as it's true. If someone's spreading wrong information on a subject which no one really even cares about, I feel urged to correct it.

The second-highest dps-rate on a grey staff is on Robble's Wobbly Staff (152.4 DPS) while the highest dps-rate is on Robble's Stabilized Staff (191.5 DPS). Withered Staff ranks as the 12th highest dps grey staff among a total of 13 staves.
