Is this item still dropping?

I've been away for about a year and a half, post BC.

On a new server now for about 3 weeks. I"ve yet to see one on the AH.
ON the server I was on a few years back this item would show up , not often, but often nuff , on the AH.

So, i'm curious if maybe Blizz removed it from the game.

If anyone has found this lately, please tell.

Did they change the way underwear displays on models now? I swear that my female Tauren was able to wear these a long time ago while showing plenty of thigh and hip.

as of 4.3 these are bugged (aswell as their plate counterpart the Bloodscale Legguards)
the graphic seems to wrap wrong causing the "leg armor" to not wrap correctly and causing the "thong" to distort and stretch down the inner leg,
i've submitted a bug report in the hope they'll fix it, but the more the merrier,
report the bug so we can have our WonderThong fixed sooner! :)

I spent a few days trying to build the perfect transmog set to match these legs. It was a little difficult because the legs are red but seem to fade to a silver/white raw metal color in the front. Heres a link to Item Comparison and I will submit a screenshot of this set on my Worgen Hunter. (look for name Cleovetous screenshot is at Deathwing's Cataclysm Loading Screen Perch atop SW.)

For those of you who are farming mobs for these I found that the best mobs to farm are the Gordunni Tamers at Gordunni Outpost in Feralas (75, 29). The legs have a 0.03% drop rate from them according to Wowhead but they respawn very quickly making it an ideal spot to farm.

On a side note, Sprite Darter Hatchling has a chance to drop from Feralas mobs.

One of the best looking legs for a female mail user if you want to turn some heads.
But its hard to find pieces to match it.

This is what I came up with to match the leggings.
Legs: 火鬃護腿
Chest: 充能胸鎧
Shoulders: 精工肩鎧
Hands: 屠龍者護手
Belt: 華麗束腰 My all time favourite belt for mail users it matches almost anything without covering up finer details on the legs.
Boots: 海嘯長靴 The boots are especially great for characters like trolls, taurens and worgen as the boots/sandals don't show at all revealing even more skin ;)

There is but one piece of advice I can give for transmogrifying this lovely item:

Nothing goes with it. Period.

Some people try to use the Energised Chestpiece, but the colours do not match. Some people try to use the Spitfire Breastplate, and although the textures are a perfect match, again, the colours do not. The pieces from the Brigade Mail, once again, match textures but not colours.

There is no pink piece of mail for the chest that has any hope of bringing a set based on this item together. If you want to use this look, do so on a plate-wearer. Here is the set it goes with:

Bloodscale Plate

This item is the only piece of this set you can obtain in mail. You cannot obtain any other pieces. This item, for transmog purposes, is simply beautiful trash, much like the Sandstalker Breastplate and gloves, which are a similar port of a plate look (the Jade Plate) over to mail, but alas, missing also most of its pieces.

Well, going through the comments usually gives me some idea as to what I can possibly pair with a specific item I want to work around, like these leggings.

Unfortunately I was fairly disappointed that there weren't any actual matches for these, but I was able to put together something that kind of represented a fade of vibrance from head to toe.

The whole thing is a HUGE pain in the butt to piece together, but if you like the style/colors, I'd say it's quite worth it. I've never really seen anything quite like this, so it at least stands out if not with the....bareness, then at least the bright color!

Unfortunately, there are no other mail pieces (like the leggings) that use the same artwork as the Bloodscale Plate set. The nearest match you will get is the Brigade Mail set, which uses a rustic red color rather than bright red.

Sick of the mind numbing task of killing hundreds to thousands of mobs? Consider hunting for the 結實的寶箱. The legs has a 1.6% chance of dropping, so depending on your luck, maybe not that long farming (or maybe a little bit longer). Better than the 0.01-0.03% mob drop or 0.15 for rares.

The issue mainly is where do they spawn? How populated is the zone when you are playing so you miss the spawn( ie. a questing lowbie beats you to it)? And how quick can you travel between spots (flying a must).

I circled Feralas, Southern Barrens and Desolace for chests when I was bored of playing on my main and guess what - every chest is a guaranteed blue. It took me 12 chests to snag it, and here is my other loot - along with the median AH prices on my realm for an idea of the gold yield you may get:

I would like to very respectfully submit the request to Blizzard to (pretty) please update the graphics on this item as well as to all of the old(er) types of armor in the game.

As an "old(er)" female player, I absolutely love (and love to mog) many of the old(er) mog sets including the skimpy stuff I would probably not dare wear in real life anymore but still love to rock on my many many toons.

With all the many new gorgeous character options / models soon to be available in the game both male and female, I would love to use these mogs more often.

However, they're slightly (a lot) pixelated by today's standards...

How to use Firemane Leggings in a outfit:

Let me start by saying, this is my first post on this website and I dont have a clue about how to link items in the text, so excuse me for the lack of...

Yes, there is a way to make these leggings work in an outfit!
As many, I've been frustrating myself over this item for quite a few years, because there's nothing in mail that properly matches this item in color. Everything that comes close just wont do, it doesnt work. So you can stop looking for such items, that saves you a lot of time, because they simply dont exist.

However, there is at least one way to make it work in an ensemble!
You're going to need 2 items for this: Acolytes Shirt and Feasting's Feeding Cloak. The shirt doesnt exactly match the color of the legs, but it works pretty well and the 2-tone cloak will bind this combination together. And now we're already half-way a decent outfit.
Colors dont always have to match exactly to work together in an outfit, and this is what we're going for now.
Dont try any of the many oversized items, like hands, shoulders and feet. The whole 3-item basic set is sleek and tight and this is what you want from other items, so they are subtle and the focus stays on the legs and shirt.
The small details in the shirt are a sort of pale brown, which gives us an advantage when it comes boots and bracers. Pale brown sleek boots will do, for example Woodrunner's Footpads, but there are more that work very nicely, as long as they are sleek and subtle (or make the boots invisible). Just dont use any big flashy items, next to this 3-item basic combination.
Bracers that match the shirt in color are now available in the form of the new Crimson Dracthyr Battlegear Bracers, but any pale brown bracers, not too large in size, will do just fine, as long as they match with the boots.
Now its just a matter of making your chest, shoulders, gloves and head invisible, et voila! And as long as you use a steel colored weapon, with red detailing, you're fine. My personal favorite is Plundered Blades of Northern Kings, with the Sinsedge enchant. Big weapons draw attention, which works just fine.

This outfit works, although is doesnt seem to be very creative. However! Like I said, the small pale brown details in the shirt can help us out.
Since bracers and boots are some distance away from the shirt's brown details, an exact match is not necessary. For gold detailing, we can do with anything red that works with the shirt, or bridges the color difference between the legs and the shirt, like Razorwing Scale Wristguards, or Fearstalker's Crimson Bracers and we can match the boots to the bracers. But we can also go for silver/steel detailing on either red items, like Honorbound Vanguard's Bindings (the gloves of this set work evenly well), and once we get one of these in the combination, there will be lots of options for belts and weapons that will now work well with the outfit, silver/steel as well as gold. For example, the Strangulating Chainlink Lasso, works very well in red/gold color scheme. And Bindburner Belt, Taskmaster Loop, or Bloodspattered Sash work well in a Red/Silver combo.

I myself already came up with 3 outfits based on this theory, in about an hour, so I hope my ideas can help people who're set on using the Firemane Leggings.

I bounced between Marudon and the chests scattered around Feralas and Desolace. I would use a monk or druid, do the dungeon then teleport out using their ability. Druids can port right to Feralas to cut time but it all works out.

I got these out of a chest around area that connects to the Dire Maul dungeon wings in Ferlaas.

Edit Update:

This also dropped off a Whip Lasher after 32 runs of Dire Maul East.
