Its funny, in WC3 this axe was found and used by rexxar, but in WC3 this axe was an artifact.

The 'history' reads as followed:

"When Dethorin found his lady, Allurana, in the hands of another, he went to the barrens and cried out. An axe burst forth from the sands as if in answer. Dethorin slew Allurana and her lover, and hurled the axe with all his might into the deep dark sea."

Also, the axe sells for 1875g to vendor in WC3

In regards to the proc on this axe, I'd like to add that it procs more often than most other weapons with a proc. I'm not sure on a concrete percentage, but I'd compare it to around the proc rate of a fiery enchant.

Killmaim was imba weapon in WC3 and in wow it the best weapon for non clothies to level 20-30. GET it, find enchanter who can do +7 damage on 2h , and you breeze you're 20's in no time.
Did it with my 2 chars, one of them even got a drop of Bloodspiller -didnt use it auctioned it for 50g and kept my Killmaim :)

agreed on the first statement, my gf had smites hammer on her warrior up until i looted this bad boy axe off one of the goons in gnomeregan yesterday. like coolsnowman i immediately put +7 damage on 2h which also levelled my enchanting :D and mailed it right over. not only does it look the bollox with its glowiness thrown in, but it does what its supposed to, kills/maims!

best drop i've ever had i'd say, she'd better keep it as a keepsake!

ps i kno i'm a nob for gettin my gf a char, but hell, it got her off my back about being on it all the time! hahaha!
