Scale of the Earth-Warder is the shield portion of the Artifact set for Protection 戰士s. The weapon to go with it is 裂鱗劍.

This shield was created from one of 奈薩里奧's scales, from before he was corrupted and became 死亡之翼.

My idea for a transmog for this set, cape is optional but it goes ok with it

*Note:the sword that comes with the shield is called 裂鱗劍, but it doesnt seem to change with the shield

Didn't notice it right away, but it doesn't take durability damage. you wont be breaking your shield this expac.

If you reset your artifact weapon (the talents/traits) you DONT lose any artifact power except for the artifact power you pay for the reset!

I know artefact wepaon all have a "hidden feature", for exemple the fury wepaon save you from death from time to time, well i think the hidden feature of this one is that when you go low life, you get a victory rush proc. It happened twice to me tonight, the proc happened once on Ursoc, and once on Renferal, both time i had no adds to kill (adds on ursoc lol) so i guess it might be it :)

Not sure if this is a popular opinion, but in my mind this one has the weakest active of all the tanking actives. Death knights heals for a ton, Brewmaster is basically 100% dodge, Paladin is 25% reduced damage, Vengance is good damage and gives soul fragments, but this, this is just critical blocking all attacks from the front. So right away it's 3 seconds you have to stand still and enemies have to be in front of you, for ultimately just 60% reduced damage against melee autoattacks. It doesn't work on magic, you lose the bonus if you have to move for any reason, and it's just not very good to begin with due to positional requirements overlapping with having to channel.

I think it would've been far more competitive with the other ones if it didn't require you to channel, and instead was a 3 second buff that had you breath fire and critically block. It'd still be positional but it'd be worth it imho.

Most, if not all, of the Artifact weapons will bring a comment from an NPC in the game.
In the case of the Scale, that NPC is 守鱗者賈爾赫 in Valdisdall.

For those trying to get this nowadays on dragonflight:
Relogging method doesn't work anymore, trial warrior method worked for me on patch 10.0.5
i got mine on my first try when i created a trial warrior on a different realm
then i just did the legion quest to unlock the artifact, used the burning plate and it was ready for transmog on my main character.

Go to /way 45 72

Enter the cave

If it’s up, you’ll see an emote

If not, check it again with this macro:

/run local q,m=C_QuestLog.IsQuestFlaggedCompleted,{={='not up',='not rolled'},={='it\'s up!',='?'}} print(m)

The scale can appear on any gold pile
