Well this is a first.... a trinket with Tertiary Stats guaranteed? I assume you'll be able to get yet another tertiary on top of the three you get already... Not sure how good of a trinket this will actually be for raiding since it has a very low amount of str/agi relative to its ilvl, but it would definitely come in handy for questing or dailies or anything else in that vein. That being said, Blizzard really should have increased the str/agi on this piece by quite a bit, seeing as how the Intellect trinket off of Kazzak offers the exact same amount of Intellect as this does strength/agility, and the 187 of every single secondary stat on that particular trinket make it far more useful than this one.... this trinket should be packing somewhere on the order of 400-ish strength to be even remotely worthwhile outside of questing and soloing old content.

Similarly to the 殲滅者聚焦水晶 from Iron Juggernaut in Siege of Orgrimmar, this is bad for raiding. Quite like that trinket, this should prove to have its uses elsewhere, like soloing or possibly leveling beyond WoD content even due to the sheer amount of utility on it, namely speed and leech.

This item has very very niche potential to be good. It's a 20% movement speed boost. I can see it being great if you're less concerned with DPS than you are on performing mechanics well and efficiently. Not suitable for people trying to cheese the meters.

Looking it over the utility of this trinket is substantial

20.02% movement speed boost (Excellent for classes with few to no movement buffs )
7.16% of damage dealt to health (with my DPS being in 40k to 50k, that's around 1.75k to 2k HPS )
20.02% AOE damage reduction (Excellent smoothing on pulse AOE damage )

EDIT: Since people don't seem to understand, I'll make this clear. I do not advocate using this trinket in raid. All I'm saying is it has utility above and beyond some of the other 'utility' based trinkets.

I'm not sure if this is supposed to be a tongue in cheek joke? Using this trinket would be the Mark of Supreme Doom to you being invited on any raids, considering that every other trinket 655 or above is better. 187 Agility is absolutely atrocious, without even talking about the tertiary stats.

This is the lateral thinking trinket.

Taking 11% less damage? You can ignore a gimmick a little longer to keep DPSing, or make your healer's life easier. Dead DPS don't do any damage.

4% leech? Make your healer's life even easier.

Gain 11% movement speed? DPS gain. Movement is a huge DPS loss-- either moving in range of the boss, moving from one target to another, or doing some other movement gimmick 11% faster.

And it's still got primary stats on it, which are generally the most important thing anyway.

Give it a try, you might be surpised.

I don´t know if they nerfed the speed tertiary stat but for me it was 7-8% right before and 11,84% after the buff to 500 while some of the comments and the old tooltip on this site state it was 11,44%

for the trinket itself, I really like it for soloing purposes just for the ms bonus alone but even the 7% leech might be worth it for soloing mop content and higher, at least for non-tanking classes

for the current content I could see using it if one of your other trinkets is still around itemlevel 660-670, simulated it´s probably a dps loss but imo movement speed is an underrated stat that can net you dps just by having higher uptime on your target and it also let´s you play a lot smoother, which is also one of the reasons I prefer my feral over any other dps classes for example

overall it´s just a nice quality of life item that has many different uses but being an highend dps trinket is obviously not one of it

Now that the stats have been changed from 286 to 500 this seems a little bit better, but I'm not sure it will outshine a trinket that has more common stats. I am glad they took a look at it and made it better though!

The Leech on this trinket makes it amazing for soloing older content, where your dps is scaled up to much higher levels than in current content. This, because Leech heals you as a percentage of your dps and therefore scales like crazy in older content.

I just did Ragnaros 25 man Heroic on my warrior. Out of curiosity, I equipped this trinket to get an idea about its healing potential. With the trinket equipped I had 7,14% Leech. During the fight, I did 39.392.303 damage (39 million). The Leech from this trinket did 231.986hp ordinary healing, and 2.581.741hp overhealing (yes, 2,5 million overhealing!). I had no Leech from other sources, so all Leech-healing came solely from this trinket. Needless to say, I was at full health during the whole fight, and did not use Impending Victory a single time.

Next time I’m soloing Firelands, I will equip it when doing Majordomo Staghelm 25 man Heroic, as this boss deals a good amount of damage if you don't move out of the flames quick enough. With this trinket equipped, I suspect that it will be possible to ignore the fire on the ground altogether, and just stand in one place nuking the boss down.

UPDATE: Did Majordomo Staghelm and Baleroc on 25 man Hc in Firelands today with my Arms Warrior, item lvl 674. Equipped with this trinket, I was just standing on the same spot during the fights, never dropping below full health for more than a few seconds. This trinket really make fights like these trivial.

Ok, yes, this is clearly a troll trinket by Blizzard. It's terribad and worse than pretty much all 655+ trinkets. However, it is actually quite a nice trinket to have for soloing old content. It's a very niche use, of course, but some people are going to love it for that. The avoidance will of course help but the leech will be lovely. 500 leech gives about 7% leech which is substantial in earlier content. It's even more helpful in Cata or earlier raids where the dps buff is included as the leech heals you for 7% of your increased amount of damage.

The tertiary stats on this trinket are being increased by 75%, so it will give 501/530/576/611/663/702 of each tertiary stat for item level 705/711/720/726/735/741.

This results in 20.04/21.20/23.04/24.44/26.52/28.08% increased movement speed and reduced area of effect damage taken as well as 7.16/7.57/8.23/8.73/9.47/10.03% of damage & healing converted to self-healing.

After these buffs, I could honestly see this trinket being used by tanks or perhaps high-end mythic progression.

Something that that is not obvious at first glance:

While the 500 avoidance seems great, since avoidance scales extremly well, (500 avoidance giving you 20% less aoe dmg) this is as much as you can get!
No matter how much avoidance you have , it will not reduce aoe dmg any further than 20%.
Since avoidance can be on your eq as a bonus stat , and 3 pieces with avoidance would allready exeed 500 avoidance, it's entirely unnecesary to equip the mark for it.

To sum it up, no matter how much they increase the tertiary stats, this trinket will not be worth it(especially with the great trinkets that drop in HFC)

As rogue using night-saber and burst of speed talents and nice cloak enchant it should be pointed out that this trinket has insane power. The power of speed 227% movement speed unmounted aka stealth through tan-nan faster than people who are mounted. Also the leech is a nice affect if you already have leeching poisons making 17% leech. Which has removed any need for use of recuperate meaning more combo points towards killing.

This trinket has enormous utility benefits that should not be undervalued even in raiding if timed correctly feint reduces aoe damage taken by 50% combined with passive 20% from trinket. You can make huge aoe boss mechanics unnoticeable. Yes for a straight burn fight this will perform lower but extra leech movement speed and aoe reduction may actually give you more time on boss.

Yes, I'm a bit crabby about this - but just letting all those healers out there know - if you have your Loot Specialization set to a healing spec, this can and in fact does drop (happened on my resto shaman)

both my mage and hunter got it today and it is useless for them both.
Why this was ever designed let alone made available for casters I've no idea.
Neither of kazzak's trinkets are great, but this one is awful even for a crappily geared caster.

I received one of these today on my mage and the tooltip does not list intellect, in fact it still shows agility while equipped. Im unaware of a tooltip issue but apparently the trinket I got from Kazzak today does indeed add intellect when equipped but the item tooltip does not list intellect on it at all. I see that this was changed a while back. Was the tooltip overlooked. I also see that the tooltip on this site actually list intellect. The classes part of the tooltip on the trinket I got is still red like my mage would not be able to equip but she can with no issues, so is this a known issue ?

Edit: Apparently this was an issue with the UI, logging back on the charcter today I noticed that the tooltip is now correct and listing all stats.

This is actually not that bad that has previously been stated. If you are looking for being able to solo Group content this trinket will actuallly become a useful item.

I am a shadowpriest with ilvl 687 and are able to solo lvl 100 elites @ 900 k HP with Health to spare, it's excellent when doing rep grinding with the Saberstalkers or going solo at Throne och Kil'jaden. With the leech stat I am able to exit a 1on1 fight with 100% health and a 1on2 fight with >50% health. Also in a tough spot when fleeing is vital the extra speed buff helps keeping the enemies of your back. I use it for all solo content (and Group that I solo).

However, I switch it for a pure damage one when doing raid content.

Maybe not suited for all classes, but as a shadowpriest I have become accustomed to get the benefit of this trinket to solo (almost) all available PVE content.

Fairly nice item for a rogue... if you are on your pickpocketting mission, or you are farming lowbie instances for rare mounts and pets.You are most probably oneshotting everything anyway so noone cares about dps loss, but the movement speed is noticeable.

This is not a trinket you want for raiding, period. It's easily worse than 650 or 655 trinkets, and it might just be worse than even 630 blues for damage.
People preaching "survivability" and "utility" are outright wrong on the matter - trinket slots specifically are just too valuable to sacrifice for survivability in a raid environment. This thing is at least a 5k dps loss over a comparable ilevel trinket - it doesn't even rank on icyveins' top 50 (for destro lock, anyway). That's just too much damage to sacrifice for raiding. If it was 500 dps it might be worth it, but it's not.

That said, I don't think this is a waste of a loot table spot at all, it has other uses and I was quite happy to get one.
It's EXCELLENT for soloing old raids, especially on classes with limited healing (mage). It's also decent for general dailies/soloing, and I'm probably going to use it levelling.

Raiding isn't the only activity for max level characters to do. Sure, it's the primary one, but it's not the only one, and it's nice to get some gear that really helps for the other stuff once in a while. Definitely not anywhere near "worst trinket ever"

I got a warforged version of this, after getting a regular one last week. secondary stats go up to 528

speed and leech seem to go up slightly, but avoidance appears to be capped at 20.00%

I think this trinket is very very good for SOLOing old content. At least for classes that cannot heal, like mages.
ALSO this trinket gives 12% speed - which you can use when doing stuff in town, or garrison etc ( like mining )

Its just a fun trinket, its not for PVE progression raiding. They should have had some good stat on in instead of Avoidance (like mastery or haste etc)

Just curious on what spells are listed as "AOE"? Is it literally only ground aoe (don't stand in fire) or does raid wide damage count as well (take for example Reaver's pound)? How about splash damage (example, exploding bombs or if you are the target of Artillery)? Or how about frontal aoe like Gruul's cleave? I know a lot of people complain about the trinket Mark of Supreme Doom, but 20% reduction in damage seems like quite a bit, unless the only damage that is reduced is the fire on the ground that you're suppose to avoid anyway. Any thoughts or links to blue posts would be most appreciated.

As a 694 ilvl Enhancement Shaman I don't see any benefit from this. Maybe, perhaps, if I wanted some more speed or a bit more leech, but other than that - this is pointless for shamans imo. It would've been much nicer if a "normal" trinket dropped from Kazzak. A 690 ilvl trinket that gives flat 400 agility is way better than this (as was mentioned in another comment - perhaps some 650 blue stuff is better as well).
I guess they did put it for just some bonus soloing capabilities for other classes but for some specialisations - it's almost useless :/

People whining about how bad for raiding this trinket is, and they forget that end-content raiding isn't the only stuff in the game. I saw a lot of people on my server complaining about it, while I farmed it on most of my toons for... old content raiding.

As others have said, this is %^&* compared to end-content trinkets but, unless you have high ilvl badass trinkets, try soloing 『縛靈者』卡拉賈 with your better blue 650 baleful trinket. Or even the Council Of Elders in ToT, you'll get knocked dead (if you could kill them in 10n, try 25n then).

Its simply a matter of math: pick up a pure dps class with no or few selfheals, but one with which you can pull high dps. Pick up all the dps you can deal (specially on burst phases), and get 7% off that in heals to you... simple. Add to that the 20% aoe reduction (yeah some old raid content are mostly trivial, but the bonus is a bonus), the +15% increased foot speed and you got a fast-rampaging-vampire-leeching-berserk doing old content.

A word of advice? SAVE THAT TRINKET IN YOUR BAGS FOR THESE STUFF. There are even some achievements that the speed boost or aoe reduction may help with.

It seems like avoidance is hardcapped at 20%. That means upgrading this trinket will do nothing to improve the amount of avoidance you get from it, though it still does improve mainstat/speed/leech.

EDIT: Since the stats on this item have been lowered significantly, you can now upgrade this item and get a boost to your avoidance stat. Before, it started at 500 avoidance and went to 549 avoidance, which was above the hardcap.

I like this trinket. No, it's obviously not a raiding trinket... but does everything have to be? I can imagine a raiding DPS this must feel like a slap in the face and I think it should drop on a separate roll.

I actually want more of these type of items in the game. Just, don't make it compete with "actual" gear on rolls.

So many people missing the point of this trinket. You get it from Kaz, which is part of the fun outdoor scene in Jungles of Tanaan, and that's where this trinket is BIS! Think about it, for running around chasing crystals, treasures, and mini-bosses, you don't need your raiding trinket. Something like this, which helps you move faster, heal faster, and avoid some ambient damage is PERFECT! Just remember to switch it out before taking on something more challenging, like you would your old fishing hat. :)

Two examples..

Affli/SHprist/healers/melee - perma heal from dots or instants... u can hide behind texture and wait for incomming heals from dots etc.

vs.

Casters - do nothing... must stay, cast some interuptable spells... against pillar looosers and melees with incessantly heal behind textures.

Leech is good. but for casters must be doubled and for healers wiped.

This is actualy a pretty good trinket for those who wants to solo stuff without using slow healing or tank specs. As for my shadow priest, this helps me a lot to deal with harder elites or rares, where that leech is just enough to keep me alive. It has specific uses.

Best speed boosting item in the game. It gives approximatly %11 more speed. So upgrade it with valors and use it while farming old raids and digging for archeology or similar solo stuff. Not every item needs to be in game for raiding.

When this drops for you, or you roll for one, it's this trinket for 500gold/500 apex. For that price and especially for a fairly freshfaced 100, it's nothing to frown about. Sure it might get replaced for better raiding gear, but it's still a valuable upgrade from the stuff you've been getting so far. Many look at it purely from a "this is better" way, but if you don't have better, this is great.

Trinkets don't grow on trees really and until you get another, it's as said a 500apex trinket for plenty of utility.

Nerfed nearly in half in the Legion Beta (95 prime stat, 255 tertiaries). Hoping it's a bug, but probably intentional, because it would be too convenient for questing... Wouldn't want any convenience now would we...

Edit: After testing, it seems it will still be providing 8% movement speed after the patch (@100), even with nearly half the Speed stat as before. This isn't awful, but still sad to see this nerfed. Also, not sure what's going on with the database, but it's not getting nerfed to ilvl 690, still 705 for the normal version (not that there is any other version aside from warforged).

Edit2: I didn't know the loot from Kazzak was buffed to 720 baseline! If anyone has obtained this item in its 720 form, please comment whether that version still provides the original 11% movement speed. If I happen to obtain one before someone comments, I will update this post.

Final Edit: Just got the 720 'Heroic' version. On my Mage that has no other movement speed buffs (level 100 bank alt basically) the 705 gave her 7% and the 720 gives 8%... so definitely still nerfed. If 15 ilvls increase gave 1% additional movement speed, I suppose a Titanforged 750 (yes they exist) version would give 10-11%. So, you know, getting ridiculously lucky might give you back the same movement speed buff as this had when it was 45 ilvls lower...

For other comparisons:
