工藝師馬頓的日誌 can safely be deleted; it's a "flavor text" item from 哈里遜‧瓊斯's Crystal Reborn quest chain with background on the Dream of Argus crystal. Each of Harrison Jones' six quest chains needed for the 大師級古物獵人 achievement leaves a similar soulbound book in your inventory, each of which can be deleted after finishing the quest it's from:

It seems that most quest-lines provided to you via Harrison Jones will leave you not only with enlisted rewards, but also a handful of books which have little to no use.

This quest appeared to be bugged for me when i tried to pick up the book. It would start through the motion, but never finish. I dropped the quest re-aquired and had the same problem. After that, i checked my bank and sure enough, I already had the Artificer Maatun's Journal in there, so I could not pick up another.
