This use effect equals into average of ~~106 spirit~~ 212 spirit with the buff quadrupling the mana return and later halving that. (Sigh!)

DMF trinket 飛翼沙漏 upgraded twice to same ilvl, provides ~293 spirit (with 120 secs inbetween procs, 115 being optimal icd). Lowest form of ilvl 640 provides ~233 with the same math.

Therefore, this item is probably ~~not~~ totally worth it, 'least until Blackrock Foundry hits us.

Now has 334 intellect on live currently, up from 220 intellect.....that's slightly more than a 50% increase to throughput...wow.

~~Now if only they'd increase the mana return........:P~~

Given the latest comments from the devs themselves on the Final Boss Interview, this is rather comical. Still, a decent trinket in its own right just not as awesome as it once was.

This dropped for me while I was doing the Apexis daily quest in Gorgrond. :) Was very happy when I saw what it was. Seems like quite a few other people in here have gotten it too, so the droprate seems abit off. But I guess that will adjujst itself when more and more data gets uploaded witht the WoWhead addon.

Have this trinket on my druid and it did previously give 5229 mana on use. However, when running heroics today for achievements it was giving around 20k or so mana on use. Stealth change maybe? 5229 was pretty low to begin with. = /

Dropped from mutant orcs in the Everbloom Wilds in Gorgrond. The puddle stacking buff really helps to kill mobs faster if you're farming for epics.

I've been spamming my server's trade chat for days trying to get my hands on one of these since the buff, and when I logged on today I saw two on the AH for 75k and 80k, so I talked to the sellers (one of them was alliance so I had to log to a level 1, lol) and managed to talk them down to 50k a piece, so I got one for me and one for another healer in my group. If you're serious raiders it's in your best interest to get these for all of your healers.

This dropped for me whilst doing the Assault On Pillars Of Fate level 100 daily. According to Auctioneer, this sells for over 90k. If I'm lucky, I'll be saying goodbye to all my gold troubles! :)

This trinket has received hotfixes on December 8th (source):

The Everburning Candle will receive a hotfix today which will reduce the amount of mana restored on use from roughly 20,000 to roughly 10,000. Similar to the issue with Scabbard of Kyanos, our previous adjustment left the power level of the item drastically beyond the range of even Mythic raid trinkets. After this hotfix, the trinket will still be an ideal item for any healer, and we will not be adjusting the Intellect passive of the trinket which will remain at 334.

With regard to developer comments made yesterday during the Final Boss podcast interview, we understand changing our minds about not adjusting this item may be frustrating. At the time, we absolutely meant that we were okay with it being over-budget in terms of what it provides (reference the unchanged Intellect). However, when designers took a closer look at the item this morning, they realized that the mana being granted was excessive to the point that it risked undermining healer and encounter balance, and creating a world where healers with the Everburning Candle would play a different game with respect to mana longevity than those without.

After opening countless numbers of Large Salvage Crates and getting nothing more than crap, I got this...

I won't demolish my salvage yard after all....

Upon using it on my Resto Shaman in and outside of combat to test it I got 10458 mana.

For those of you who watch the Fatboss videos avidly, THIS is the item they are talking about when one of their characters says "WAFFLES GRANDAD! ITS A CANDLE" It is apparently a reminder that this trinket just got off CD.

This was personally driving alot of us nuts until someone answered this in the comments of their blast furnace video.

Don't be confused by the tooltip. As of 11 February 2015, this trinket still gives 10,548 mana every 2 min. A great throughput trinket with good mana regen!

10,458 mana per 2 minutes is equivalent to 211.426 Spirit. BUT WAIT THERE'S MORE.
(1 Spirit = 2.061 mana per 5 seconds)

Note that since this is off cooldown when the fight starts, it gives additional mana on top of this. For example, in a fight that hypothetically lasted 2 minutes and 30 seconds (2:30), you could use it at 0:15 and 2:15 for 20916 mana over 2:30, which is actually equivalent to 338.282 Spirit.

In a 7-minute encounter, which is more typical, this extra use of 10458 mana is equivalent to +60.408 Spirit.

However, on average, assuming uniform fight length distribution, half a trinket usage is wasted due to timing. For example, you still only get two uses in a fight that lasts for 3:55: one at about 0:15 and one at about 2:15. By 4:15, the fight has ended.

Using the 7-minute encounter as an approximation for all raid encounters, you could approximate the worth of this trinket at 211.426 + 60.408 - (60.408/2) = 241.630 Spirit.

TL;DR the mana use is worth about 241.6 Spirit.

OK, so here I was running my Blood DK through H Auchindoun and this item drops as personal loot. Here I was thinking great an awesome trink I can't use - prepare to DE said item....IT WAS BOE! So very first chance I got it was mailed to my resto shammy :-) I will NOT be complaining about the legendary ring quest line this xpac!

I still prefer to use this now over the higher ilvl healer trinkets from hfc (Lets not mention the awful trinket that drops from Kazzak) for now until I get the right rng stats for my holy priest & paladin to enpower a trinket..
