As with most items like this, you can only have one.

If you left the beacon in your bank for some reason a long time ago, then decided to go on the char and do the quest for your twink or whatever, then you need to take the beacon out of your bank 'cause you won't be able to get another one.

Basically you will need to have this in your bag. That way you can get a Corrupted Soul Shard. It works like the Argent Dawn Commission. You need to have it equipped in order to get Scourgestone drops.

After doing all the quests in Felwood, I still haven't found this and I guess it is useless after cata. My main got this in the bank, but it is probably safe to destroy it.

You can destroy this. Was part of a quest in Felwood that was removed with Cata.

If anyone is curious in 2025, you just hold the item in your inventory and then go Mine/skin/gather plants and it randomly appears.
