Looks like the new 5.4 Blood DK BiS weapon is this, hands down.... excluding heroic-mode weapons, of course. Also a decent gap-filler for Ret Pallies who can't get the haste/mastery polearm to drop, but merely acceptable for any warrior or dk dps spec, both of whom have far better options. The nice thing about this tier is that there seems to be a 2h itemized perfectly for every str class/spec: Britomart's Jagged Pike for retribution paladins, Greatsword of Pride's Fall for 2h frost and unholy dk's, as well as arms warriors, Xala'toh, Desecrated Image of Gorehowl for fury warriors, and of course this mace for blood dk's. Of course what you get first will largely depend on your raid group's rate of progression and luck with the drops, and racials will probably be taken into account as well, but it's still nice to see such a broad spectrum of itemization between the four different strength two-handers.

Currently on live, the normal version (and only the normal version) is registered as a caster mace, both in the in-game dungeon journal and on WoWhead and shows up as Holy Pala, Resto/Balance Druid and Resto/Ele Shaman loot.

~~So if you're likely to reach and kill this boss early on, you might want to hold on to your Warforged Seal if you were planning on coining Nazgrim, just in case.~~

how come this weapon is not showing that ghostly effect anymore... I remember seeing a death knight wielding this, he had rune of stoneskin gargoyle on it and I saw the weapon had ghostly effects like the prideful pvp gear.

the 4 sides of the mace became ghosty and came outwards and up.. now I no longer see this effect.

at that time I whispered that dk.. "oh cool, my dk has the raid finder edition of the mace but I transmogged it to
something else.. I didn't realize the weapon had that see through ghost effect on it"

what happened to the effect?
I know I didn't just imagine it.
