Not only does it look cool, imo, the set bonuses are MUCH better than T9. I can't wait.

As of patch 3.2.2, the icons for the set bonuses are the same as the icon for the
Happy
buff, which maniacal grin suits these set bonuses perfectly. Raids are going to need to get used to hearing shrieks of demented laughter coming over vent.
On a more practical note, the 4-set bonus is going to be perfect for fights such as Festergut, where the entire raid will be taking steady damage.

What I'm curious as to what piece I should get first. I currently wear T9 Chest, gloves, and shoulders. Leggings are a ToGC 25 drop and helm is T8.5. I have a trophy, but lack the badges. So I'm thinking pickup T9 helm and start my T10 with leggings.
Suggestions?

I am wondering if the 2p bonus will reduce the need for stacking so much haste. I can't wait to run the numbers.

For further crazies, such as us we are, I'm building off what I already have and think is a good aesthetic buid as well as practical for healing...
Mariel's Sorrow
Pride of the Kor'kron
Belt of Petrified Ivy
that is purchased with
Emblem of Frost
(yes it is leather, but I dont think you would lose much, stats wise over comperable mail)
You could even toss in the
Rustic Workman's Shirt
for the final touch. Its a
low world drop
, however, so good luck.
Also, since I am a
Guardian of Cenarius
, my
Cenarion Expedition Tabard
really is that complete look.
Perhaps I could use my
Swift Green Wind Rider
, since my
Violet Proto Drake
, doesn't work well, but I don't know if there is a better one out there.
edit: Even though boots are not visible,
Shuffling Shoes
has potential, but it has yet to go live

I can't decide on which four peice to get. I was thinking helm, shoulder, chest, and legs. Then get the Unclean Surgical Gloves. Then i'd only have legs with no haste (last if your guild is good you can get 277 version). My other i'd was to get helm, shoulders, chest, and gloves and grabbing the crafted legs (Lightning-Infused Leggings). Which set up do you all think would give the most haste. My mp5 is already fcked.

Just an FYI to everyone looking at this set: the first Tier (t10) is green, plague-themed, the second (t10-2) is blue, frost-themed, and the third (t10-3) is dark red, blood-themed.
The icons all appeared as blue, so I was confused when I got the chest and it was completely green.
EDIT: Stop downranking. These are the colors of the Tier sets, unlisted elsewhere, and it may be useful information for those who are unaware that the first color they'll start with is green.

Interesting note: Rapid Currents (the 2 piece buff) affects all spells, not just healing spells. It even affects the cast time of your astral recall.

The
proc
starts right after you cast Riptide, and ends at the end of your next complete spellcast.
That means you can proc it every 6 seconds. This proc also applies for DPS spells such as Lava Burst and Chain Lightning, although since Riptide is unavailable in Elemental spec, you'll have to be dealing damage as Resto. (Which is still very fun provided you have the mana for some extra DPS while healing a well-rounded group.) It has no affect on instant cast spells, so you will not burn the proc, but it *will* burn if you use any cast-time haste-using spell in combination with Nature's Swiftness.
The 2-piece stacks with
Riptide
's bonus. Remember back in the day, where Riptide decreased the cast time for LHW? It's back again, and keeps the additional LHW crit! And now Healing Wave has a freakishly low cast time as well, making it a far superior option to LHW when the tank's taking big hits. In fact, I'd say this, in addition to the insane crit of T10, places us as big contenders for tank healing compared to Paladins, and having the Glyph of Lesser Healing Wave only adds to that.
From what I've experienced, the bonus adds +20% of whatever your haste is
at the time of casting Riptide
; so if you pop a trinket, you get 20% of your haste including the haste that the proc adds.

The proc starts right after you cast Riptide, and ends at the end of your next complete spellcast.
I'd just like to note that your next spell must be cast within the 10 seconds immediately following your riptide, or it will fade.
I have also found that the haste procc works for all spells, not just healing and dps ones. My rez can get down to a 5.8 second cast time with this procc up, and my astral recall is also shortened dramatically.
Of note also is the 4 piece bonus. During a 10-man festergut fight, the tick from chain heal was doing 41% of my healing from chain heal, which was doing about 70% of my overall healing. I shudder to think of how powerful it would be in the hands of someone with >50% crit in a raid setting.

I now have the 4-piece, and my experiences with it so far are positive. The Chain Heal HoT is simply called Chain Heal, lasting 9 seconds.
It can proc off of every bounce that crits
, and you'll be critting plenty -- my unbuffed crit is 38% right now. As for whether it's better than the t9 2-piece bonus (which is very good in it's own right) -- so far, that seems to be the case. Both are HoTs and
both have a good chance to overheal
, except Chain Heal places it's HoT on lower-HP targets, meaning
those heals are more likely to go to the right person
. If you're tank healing, consider the t9 -- you'll need those more powerful Riptides. But this dominates for raid healing (and you'll want the
Glyph of Chain Heal
).
One thing to note too is that with Mp5 so low, crit so high and with healers taking so much damage during fights,
forgetting to use your Imp Water Shield at any point during the fight will drain your mana very, very quick.
If you notice yourself going oom, make sure your water shield is up.
I'll update when I have a chance to use it in some of the big ICC fights.
EDIT: I have since used this in ICC, and it's nothing short of wonderful. Now, straight up -- a lot of the HoT is overheal. This adds more to your meters than your effective heals. That said, it works wonderfully -- you throw out chain heals on people you predict will be hit, and most of the time they'll have an HoT ticking away depending on your crit. The proc HoT factors in the entire heal, such as overheal and (most importantly) the Chain Heal's Riptide bonus! What this means is that the Riptide bonus has more relevance -- is your tank about to get hit hard on Festergut's last phase? Riptide and cast a 20% faster Chain Heal on him to get him prepped. Did Festergut just Pungent Blight? If your emergency heal is like mine and includes Nature's Swiftness +
Tidal Force
, cast an instant Chain Heal and just watch those HoTs tick your 3-4 targets back to the safe zone, the most important of those being the tank.
I can't recommend you go back to the t9 2-piece Riptide bonus. This is a great 4-piece from my experience, and I enjoy having more HoTs even in heroics.

Also for fights like Stinky and Precious in ICC's 2nd wing, the 4-piece set bonus will result in you completely dominating the meters. If you time your chain heal just right upon a decimate, and continue spamming on all affected raid members, you'll see upwards of 11k HPS easily on 25-man.
