Fated Sepulcher of the First Ones Boss Strategy Guides and Raid Overview

Sepulcher of the First Ones is the third and final raid of Shadowlands, featuring 11 new bosses ending in a cosmic battle against The Jailer himself, Zovaal. In this guide we will detail the essentials for Sepulcher of the First Ones, including loot, rewards, unlock schedule, boss, over, and strategy guides.
Sepulcher of the First Ones Fated Difficulty
Shadowlands Season 4 shakes up how raiding works in WoW. For the first time, all three Shadowlands raids, Castle Nathria, Sanctum of Domination, and Sepulcher of the First Ones, will be available as the highest difficulty raid in the game.
Each week during Season 4, one of the three raids will be Fated, meaning this raid will reward higher item level loot and have special mechanics.

Sepulcher of the First Ones Bosses
Sepulcher of the First Ones has 11 total bosses. During the first week of Sepulcher of the First Ones, only the first 8 bosses will be available on Normal and Heroic difficulty -- leaving Anduin as the final boss of the first week. During the 2nd week, the final 3 bosses will become available as well on Normal, Heroic and Mythic difficulty.

How to Enter Sepulcher of the First Ones Raid in Shadowlands Patch 9.2
The Sepulcher of the First Ones is a First Ones-style structure overlooking Zereth Mortis from a secluded island on the eastern end of the zone. Initially, you will need to use an

Loot Item Levels
Like in past Shadowlands raids, the last three bosses of the Sepulcher of the First Ones raid will drop higher item level loot than the rest of the bosses in the instance. Both Lords of Dread, Rygelon and The Jailer items will be 7 item levels higher, up to 285 on Mythic difficulty.

The Great Vault: Raid Objectives
Killing bosses in Sepulcher of the First Ones on any level will count towards your
Great Vault
Raid Weekly Objectives and will add the possibility of a Sepulcher of the First Ones loot option to your choices when you open your Great Vault to select your
one
piece of loot for your weekly bonus. In order to receive bonus Raid loot in your Great Vault, you have to kill at least 3 bosses. Killing 6 and then 9 Raid bosses will increase your choices to up to three pieces of Raid loot. Killing higher difficulty Raid bosses will net you higher item level loot choices.

Sepulcher of the First Ones Tier Set Bonuses in Shadowlands Patch 9.2
Tier Sets are making a return in the Sepulcher of the First Ones with 5 inventory slots being used by Tier Sets - Helm, Shoulders, Chest, Gloves and Legs.
Each class will have dedicated Class Tier sets, with a 2-piece and 4-piece set bonus that benefits each class and spec. For example, Hunter sets will have property versions for Beast Mastery, Marksmanship, and Survival, meaning that you'll be able to collect exactly the right set that helps out your class and spec the most.

Sepulcher of the First Ones Tier Set Bonuses
Tier set pieces come with spec-specific bonuses that will be activated when 2 or 4 set pieces are equipped. These bonuses are tailored specifically to each spec, and will automatically swap to their relevant bonuses when swapping specs within each class.

Acquiring Tier Set Pieces
Tier sets can be acquired one of two ways, with Raiders being able to acquire tier sets from Sepulcher of the First Ones earlier than the other methods.
Raiding
- dropped by bosses in the Sepulcher of the First Ones
Great Vault
- obtained by all activities that normally give Great Vault rewards, including raiding, Mythic+, and PvP.
Crafting
- creating Class Tier armor from non-set pieces of the same item level using the new Creation Catalyst
This is a big change from past Class Tier Sets, which could only be obtained through raiding. Players who choose to focus on Mythic+ or PvP activities can acquire them through the Great Vault, and players who prefer to create their own armor through the new crafting systems, will also have an opportunity to earn Class Tier Sets.
The Creation Catalyst is unlocked as part of opening the secrets of the First Ones. The Creation Catalyst will not be available at the beginning of Patch 9.2, and the mechanics of the system are currently unknown, but we will have a guide once more details are known!

Sepulcher of the First Ones Rewards in Shadowlands Patch 9.2
Title Rewards
As usual, there are two title rewards for Sepulcher of the First Ones: A title for defeating Zovaal on Mythic difficulty and a Hall of Fame title for the first 100 guilds on Alliance and Horde sides to complete the same feat.

Defeat the Jailer in the Sepulcher of the First Ones on Mythic difficulty.
%, Famed Bane of Zovaal the Jailer
Among the first one hundred Horde/Alliance guilds worldwide to defeat the Jailer on Mythic difficulty.
Raid Achievements

There is, as usual, a Glory achievement for Sanctum of Domination. There is currently no assigned reward to the achievement, but a mount is to be expected.

Suggestion: update the screenshot in the Great Vault section because it says Castle Nathria and 0/10 instead of 0/9 like it does now. I checked on the PTR and confirmed it will continue to be 0/9 in Patch 9.2

Under Raid Achievements, Glory of the Sepulcher Raider currently says "There is currently no assigned reward to the achievement, but a mount is to be expected." but hovering over "Glory of the Sepulcher Raider" now shows a mount reward :)

This is false. Icecrown Citadel had a staggered release time as well. And ICC came out after Sunwell Plateau

Am I the only person that sees Sepulcher but reads it as sphincter? I guess that this means the raid is either the sh*t or just sh*t.

Having both Lih and Hal dead does not unlock Anduin. I have both dead on heroic but there is at least one boss before each that is not dead and I cannot get to Anduin.
