Welcome to the Dragonflight PvP gearing guide. Here we will outline the many ways to gear up through PvP in Dragonflight Season 1, including rated PvP, unrated PvP, Bloody Tokens, and crafted gear.

The biggest change to PvP gearing in Dragonflight is the removal of being able to upgrade your gear's PvP item level. Upgrading PvP gear increases the base item level, and does not change the PvP item level. PvP gearing in Dragonflight is very accommodating and easy to acquire compared to previous expansions.
PvP Vendor Location in Valdrakken
Similar to Shadowlands, there is a PvP location in Valdrakken, the capital city of Dragonflight.

PvP Trinket Set Bonus
Equipping two Dragonflight PvP trinkets enables a powerful set bonus,

: Duration of incoming crowd control effects reduced by 10%. Does not stack with similar effects. Increases your Primary Stat by 501 and Stamina by 1432 when in Arenas, Battlegrounds, and War Mode.
This set bonus can be acquired by using either Unrated PvP trinkets, Rated PvP trinkets, or both.
Great Vault
The Great Vault is located in the Bank of Valdrakken. The Great Vault is a weekly reward for completing Raid, Mythic+, or PvP content in the previous weekly reset. The Great Vault allows you to choose one item from multiple, depending on how many Great Vault objectives you completed. The item level of the PvP gear from the Great Vault depends on the highest rating you achieved that week.

War Mode Gear
A new addition to Dragonflight is War Mode gear. This gear can be purchased with

. These are obtained through world PvP in War Mode and War Mode PvP World Quests. This gear is 366 in PvE and 408 in PvP content, just 3 item level below honor gear and is a great way to start gearing a character for PvP. War Mode World Quests also have a chance to reward War Mode gear at item levels higher than 366, however they still have the same PvP item level of 408. The World Quest gear scales with your item level, so it can be lower or higher than 366 depending on your item level.

Acquiring Bloody Tokens
There are 3 ways to collect

: World PvP, War Mode World Quests, and War Mode Supply Crates. The most efficient way to get (Currency #2123) are through War Mode crates. At random times, an emote will play and you'll see an icon on your map indicating a plane. This plane will fly across the map and eventually drop a crate. The first person to successfully channel on the crate will claim it for their faction. Your first crate per day will award you with 200 . Future crates for the day will earn you 50 .
There are 2 War Mode World Quests available every day, which reward 50 , in addition to the reward shown on the map.
Set Bonus
War Mode gear also comes with its own unique 2, 4, and 6 set bonuses.
2 Set:

, When you are stunned, harden your resolve, absorbing up to damage for 10 sec. Cannot occur more than once every 2 min.

will give you a quest to world PvP in any of the zones to obtain these trophies. They can be used on your War Mode gear to upgrade them to 385 item level and 421 PvP item level.
Crafted Gear
Each armor type has starter set of crafted gear to get you started right at hitting 70. The Crimson Combatant's gear is 398 PvP item level and should be relatively cheap to either make yourself or buy on the AH.
Infurious Gear
Dragonflight saw a major overhaul to professions. Each armor type profession (Blacksmithing, Leatherworking and Tailoring) all are able to craft Infurious gear. This gear has a PvP item level of 424 and a unique Equip effect on each piece, however you may only equip a maximum of two crafted pieces. Crafted pieces can be either crafted yourself or with a work order.

This thing that pvp item level is the same for everybody is very bad. i only play pvp, and i think that from now on it will be very boring.. what am i supposed to do? every week i cap conquest points in 1 day, and then? ok i can upgrade my gear for non pvp content, but i don't care about doing quests. 340 item level is enough to do that, i want to upgrade my pvp gear for pvp content.

Could we get confirmation on a PvP rated iLvl for PvE similar to the tables for unrated PvP & M+ Valor Rewards?
Do we know the rating requirements for upgrade levels of the Rated PvP gear?
