Visit 『母獅』莉歐/瑟雅 in Dalaran to purchase 究極戰鬥訓練石 for 45 亮晶晶的寵物吊飾.

If you are using 寵物師恩澤 as your shoulder enchant, 亮晶晶的寵物吊飾 (found inside 一堆寵物用品) are collectible without doing any battles - great if you are just starting out with Pet Battling!

Players receive 潮濕的寵物用品 for completing 寵物對戰挑戰：哀嚎洞穴. This can contain the Wailing Cavern-themed pets 洞窟水蟒, 年幼的毒牙風蛇, or 永生孢子.

魔蝠孤兒 is likely related to 軍團之殞寶箱, a reward from 軍團之殞的饋贈 when you are Exalted with Armies of Legionfall.

骨渣 drops from the Curious Wyrmtongue Cache on the Broken Shore. This is likely up when only the Mage Tower is active.

啄啄鳥 is related to the Rogue Order Hall Campaign - 海盜專用.

You do not need to complete Normal each week in order to get the Challenge quest. After completing Normal the first week, you'll have direct access to Challenge mode from then on out. (Thank you to Quintessence for this information)

Since you cannot heal your pets, for challenge mode you'll want several different pet set ups. Since there are 12 battles, you'll want at least 12 set ups - although the non-boss battles are slightly easier than the named boss fights.

You won't be able to heal, so try to keep pets from dying if you need them later. (Mech pets still count as Alive as long as they don't die more than once. Beware of AoE)

Once you get to Phyxia, she burrows the first move, you can bring in your Terrible Turnip, or Cricket etc and use the ability "Inspiring Song" to heal your pets back up. Just heal, then Forfeit and repeat.

Strategy I made for this (also posted on Warcraft Pets)

The new pet battle dungeon is 11 battles in 4 sections.

Section 1 – Three battles and a “boss battle”.
Section 2 – Same as 1.
Section 3 – Two fights that are practically the same.
Section 4 – Final boss battle.

Battle 1
Pets used: Clockwork Gnome – S/B – 1x1
Darkmoon Tonk – H/P – 1xx
ANY BACKUP PET

Strategy: Start by building a turret, and then use metal fist. Use turret off CD until you die. Finish anything left with the Tonks Missile.

Notes: This fight is super easy and I’m sure anything would work.

Battle 2
Pets used: Crow – P/S – 222
ANY BACKUP PET
ANY BACKUP PET

Strategy: Call Darkness, Alpha Strike (first enemy pet dies), Nocturnal Strike, Alpha Strike (second enemy pet dies), Alpha Strike until you win.

Notes: I was still practically at full HP at the end of this.

Battle 3
Pets used: Darkmoon Eye – P/S – 221
ANY BACKUP PET
ANY BACKUP PET

Strategy: Start with Darkmoon Curse, Inner Vision, Focused Beams. Just spam Focused Beams and use Inner Vision off CD from there and this fight is a cakewalk.

Battle 4 (BOSS)
Pets used: Iron Starlette – P/P – 1x1
Iron Starlette – P/S – 1x1
Empowered Manafiend – P/P – 1xx

Strategy: Basically you just Windup nuke him making sure you Supercharge between Wind Ups when it is off CD. I lost my second one the same round he died. Bring out the Manafiend and spam Arcane Blast to finish the other two pets.

Battle 5
Pets used: Draenei Micro Defender – P/S – 1x2
Tranquil Mechanical Yeti – H/B – 112
ANY BACKUP PET

Strategy: Spam Metal Fist until the first enemy pet is dead (I rezzed and killed him on my next Metal Fist). When the 2nd pet comes out, just use Ion Cannon since you will have low HP anyway. DMD will die and bring in Yeti. Use Metal Fist to kill 2nd pet. Call Lightning and Ion Cannon will kill the 3rd

Battle 6
Pets used: Menagerie Custodian – P/S – 112
Lil’ XT – H/P – 1xx (STORE PET)
ANY BACKUP PET

Strategy: Shock and Awe then spam Zap until you die and rez. Zap then Ion Cannon (Zap will kill first pet and Ion Cannon will damage 2nd pet and Custodian will die). One Zap from XT will kill 2nd pet and 2 more should kill 3rd.

Battle 7
Pets used: Lil’ Bling – S/S – 122
Empyreal Manafiend – H/H – 1xx
ANY BACKUP PET

Strategy: Start with Extra Plating then Launch Rocket twice (once to arm, once to launch). Then spam SMCKTHAT.EXE until the 1st pet dies. Launch Rocket (you should die and rez here) Launch Rocket (you should die here and bring in the Manafiend). Arcane Blast until both pets are dead.

Battle 8 (BOSS)
Pets used: De-Weaponized Mechanical Companion – S/S – 12x
Personal World Destroyer – P/P – 1xx
ANY BACKUP PET

Strategy: Extra Plating then Metal Fist until Extra Plating is off CD then use it (you should rez here). Metal Fist (you should die here and bring in the PWD) Metal Fist twice and 1st pet should die. Use Screeching Gears and hope for a stun but the stun isn’t necessary. Metal Fist again and the 2nd pet should die. Screeching Gears again, Metal Fist (rez), Metal Fist.

Notes: Companion worked well for me but you basically want a strong Mech (or something with Mech abilities) with a speed of 312 or higher and some type of dodge/damage reduction ability so you can use it first to avoid his big attack.
Battle 9
Pets used: Crimson Whelpling – P/S – 121
Dark Whelpling – P/S – 1xx
Darkmoon Zeppelin – H/B – 1xx

Strategy: Lift Off, Scorched Earth, Breath (you’ll die here, bring in Dark Whelpling), Shadowflame twice and 1st pet should die. Spam Shadowflame until you die (my pet and enemy pet died at the same time). Use Missile twice with your Zeppelin and the 3rd pet should die.

Battle 10

As stated above this is practically the same as Battle 9. All I did was swap in two new whelps; Onyxian Whelpling and Spawn of Onyxia as they have the same abilities as the Crimson Whelpling. The 3rd pet would have been easier with a Flying pet, but I still finished it off with what was left on my Zeppelin. To be safe, just bring in a pet with a solid Flying attack.

Battle 11 (FINAL BOSS)
Pets used: Periwinkle Calf – H/P – 121
Silithid Hatchling – H/H – 1x2
ANY BEAST TO SOAK AOE (Explained in Notes)

Strategy: Clobber, Stoneskin, Deep Bite. From here just spam Deep Bite until the Spore dies. Deep Bite twice and the 2nd pet should die. Do anything here because the 3rd pet is faster and will kill you anyway. Bring in the Hatchling and use Sandstorm as it will do a lot of damage to the pet. Scratch twice and it should be dead.

Notes: The Spore boss does a nasty AoE (Dreadful Breath) that will decimate your back line pets and is split evenly. Due to this you want to have all Beast pets, as the attack is a Humanoid attack and Beasts have the best resistance to that.

Alternate Strategy: My first time thru I used a strider and two spider pets. I used the striders AoE heal when it was off CD and that also worked ok. The spiders finished off the last two pets healing with webbing and leech. The strategy above seemed much more reliable though.

I was able to solo the last boss + his adds with a Garden Frog 1/1/1. RNG wasn't really in my favor, either, kiss only frogged him once.

It's worth noting that the first time you do the Cavern it's on Normal mode, and the second time is Challenge mode. The two main differences is that with a halfway decent stable of pets you can almost sleepwalk your way through the first time, and you can heal your pets outside of combat. The Challenge mode (second trip through) pits you against somewhat beefier pets and you cannot heal your pets outside of combat.

Doing the initial run through the Cavern on Normal, as I said before, is pretty much a milk run for anyone with a bit of experience (or good cheat sheets) and a halfway decent stable.

The Challenge mode run is a little more difficult, but again, with a little knowledge about what family is best to use against another it isn't hard, certainly not as hard as the Celestial Tournament.

The final boss, Budding Everliving Spore, wasn't a difficult fight with the pets that I used. I'm sure that over the coming weeks folks will be throwing up a ton of strats. This is the one that worked for me.

Enchanted Broom : 2/2/2
Emperor Crab P/P : 2/2/1
Strand Crawler :2/2/1 (Never had to bring this one out)

Sweep first with the Broom, then use Windup and Batter to kill the pet that swaps in.
When the first pet is dead, Budding will swap back in. If Sweep is off CD then use it, if not batter until it is.
With Sweep now off CD use it to sweep Budding to the backline. Use Windup and Batter to kill the final backline pet. If the Broom dies that's fine, just swap in your Emperor Crab.
Shell Shield immediately and when one round of it left, Heal when off CD and Surge to fill.

When the boss dropped my crab was almost at full health.

By swapping Budding out you avoid a lot of his backline damage and rid yourself of his backline buddies at the same time.

Enchanted Broom can also be used in a different way than cidershack suggests. 沙塵風暴 effectively blanks both Cleansing Rain and Dreadful Breath, while 大掃除 ignores Spore Shrooms.

Just to add to those looking for a statistical analysis... I purchased 1429 Mystery Bags and opened em all.

I received 1939 total stones for an average of 1.3569 stones per bag (or ~36% chance of double proccing when opening a bag). The following distribution of stones were obtained:

Humanoid: 189
Dragonkin: 192
Flying: 176
Undead: 184
Critter: 211
Magic: 213
Elemental: 195
Beast: 196
Aquatic: 193
Mechanical: 190

Using that data, finding the common denominator between the bags and stones, is 90 charms. Two stones, or 45 bags.

With 45 bags, you could see 61 pet levels, compared to 48 from the stones*. So, unless you want to level some pets specifically, it's better to stock up on the bags.

* - Stones level your pet from 1 to 25, which is 24 levels.

Sidenote: you can also buy the Ultimate Battle-Training Stone for 45 Pet Charms in your Garrison from Serr'ah (and I would assume Lio the Lioness).

For those who have never done the old dungeon Wailing Caverns before, it might be helpful to note how you get out of the instance once you have fought the final pet. You are standing on a ledge, so jump all the way down to the very bottom using whatever safety measures you need to prevent dying in the fall. Now run to Muyani and ask her to teleport you out of the dungeon. You'll land right in front of the other version of Muyani, who is outside in the top of the skull. She will give you the new weekly quest.

Wanna Kill the Last BOSS <100% killable> with single PET
For Final boss i used https://www.warcraftpets.com/wow-pets/beast/spiders/widow-spiderling/ (just an ordinary spider from duskwood (5lvl when i took him) with poison spit, brittle webbing and leech life. I killed all 3 with single pet <this spiderling> (actually every spider with this abilities can do it)!
Start with web spell .. then poison .. leech life .. again web .. and so on!
100% will kill the Boss from first try!

An H/H Periwinkle Calf (1,1,1) can solo the last boss. I put 2 high hp beast pets in just in case since they're resistant to his Acid Rain attack.

For those who have completed the quest at least once, 魔噗 in the Dalaran pet shop will teleport you directly to the Wailing Caverns.

How to get there?
Go to the pet shop in Dalaran. Breanni will be standing right at the entrance. Click on the elemental pet standing next to her and it will teleport you to the Caverns for free.
Maybe I'm a moron, but for many weeks had no idea. Should be more obvious.

You can solo the first leg up to Son of Skum with one Teroclaw Hatchling (2,2,2). Back line pets will take damage so put pets you don't care about in the other two slots (I use level 1's and let them die).

Dodge
Nature's Ward
Alpha Strike
Alpha Strike
Alpha Strike

Repeat this for every fight and your Teroclaw Hatchling should still have plenty of health when you get to the first boss.

*Note for some of the Aquatic pets you can let Nature's Ward drop so you're not taking damage as an Elemental type, but it's not a huge deal.

Can anyone give me the secret to getting the Challenge quests...I have done both the deadmines and wailing but noone will give me anything more...is there a specific day of the week? does it not take place during pet week?

That dungeon pet was the most horrible content I ever played. And I've been playing since the game exists. I have to seriously concentrate not to get up and go gouge my eyes off. Holy cow. I have seen the worst of quests. But this dungeon. NEVER. EVER. AGAIN. I will never while I live submit myself to such crap. I barely made it to the last pet (with pets 2-shooting all my pets from all schools while the're all level 25... it's just watch your pets die while you do NOTHING). I don't even know how many level 25 pets I have. Tried them all. Checked wowhead for hints. This is the worst content I ever played in Wow. NEVER AGAIN.
