New Features in World of Warcraft: Midnight
World of Warcraft: Midnight introduces many features, including but not limited to:
World of Warcraft: Midnight: Worldsoul Saga Part 2
World of Warcraft: Midnight is the second installment in the epic, three-expansion story, The Worldsoul Saga. This trilogy began with The War Within in 2024 and will ultimately conclude with The Last Titan.
In Midnight, Xal’atath’s forces attempt to gain control of the Sunwell, intent on extinguishing its light and plunging the world into darkness.
We will be returning to the Old World, specifically Quel'Thalas, home of the Blood Elves.
As players, we will help reunite the scattered Elven tribes of Azeroth.
We will stand with the forces of the Light to banish the Shadow forever...
...but things don't go to plan and spiral wildly out of control, leading to the final expansion in the Worldsoul Saga, the Last Titan.
The pre-expansion novel for World of Warcraft: Midnight,
Blood Ties
, will be released in November 2025. This prequel novel follows Allaria Windrunner, Turalyon, and their son, Arator, as they go on a family trip to investigate rumors of a strange glow emanating from the ruins of a long-abandoned Legion base.
Pre-Order World of Warcraft: Blood Ties
Lorewalking is a recent addition to World of Warcraft. An as-yet unreleased Quel'Thalas Lorewalking Questline will likely be relevant to upcoming events:
Player Housing in World of Warcraft: Midnight
A much-anticipated feature, Player Housing is finally available in World of Warcraft. Players can purchase two houses, one Horde and one Alliance. These houses will be located in Neighborhood zones and will have fully customizable interiors. A 3-D placement tool allows for grid or freeform sizing and placement of objects, and a dye system enables color customization. There are hundreds of housing décor items available to collect.
Check out our housing guides for more information about Player Housing:

New Devourer Demon Hunter Specialization in World of Warcraft: Midnight
No longer are Demon Hunters stuck with just two specializations! With the release of the Midnight pre-patch, Demon Hunters now have a third specialization called
Devourer
. This new specialization is available with the Midnight pre-patch and has no pre-requisites or unlock required.
Devourer Demon Hunter Overview
The Devourer Demon Hunter is a
mid-range DPS specialization
that uses a mix of ranged and melee abilities to deal Void and Cosmic damage to their enemies! Here's a quick preview of Devourer's core abilities:
收割
- A scythe attack that consumes soul fragments.
虛無之刃
&
飢渴斬擊
- Melee combo with a retreat movement.
靈魂獻祭
- A void-based Immolation Aura that deals damage to yourself, generating Fury and Soul Fragments.
吞噬
- Filler cast that deals damage to the target and summons Soul Fragments.
崩陷之星
- A powerful finisher that reduces Fury drain while casting.
虛無射線
- A piercing beam of Void energy.
虛無惡魔化身
- Void-themed transformation sustained by soul harvesting.
New Demon Hunter Hero Talents: Annihilator
A new Demon Hunter specialization means a new set of Demon Hunter Hero Talents. This new set of Hero Talents is formally called
Annihilator
, which builds Fury to hurl Void comets from the sky.
Demon Hunters have had their previous set of Hero Talents shuffled around to make room for the Annihilator Hero Talent Tree. Additionally,
Fel-Scarred
has been renamed to
Scarred
in Midnight, seeing as Devourer Demon Hunters do not use Fel. Here are the new Demon Hunter Hero Talents in Midnight:
Havoc Demon Hunters:
Scarred
and
Aldrachi Reaver
Vengeance Demon Hunters:
Aldrachi Reaver
and
Annihilator
Devourer Demon Hunters:
Annihilator
and
Scarred
Void Elf Demon Hunters
In addition to the new Devourer specialization, Void Elves can now be Demon Hunters following a short questline available in the Midnight pre-patch. Unfortunately, allowing Void Elves to be Demon Hunters creates an imbalance between Horde and Alliance available races. As the story unfolds, this imbalance will be addressed, and new race/class combinations will become available.

New Haranir Allied Race in World of Warcraft: Midnight
Midnight brings us a new Allied Race, one we met briefly in The War Within, the
Haranir
. This new race is unlocked during the main story Campaign in Harandar.
Haranir Allied Race Guide
These ancient hunters hail from the hidden land Harandar, one of the new expansion zones. For the Haranir, the roots of the World Trees are home, and architecture is grown, rather than built; reminiscent in style to the botani of Draenor, their homes are shaped from roots and glowing mushrooms.
The Haranir are a
neutral
Allied Race, making them available to both the Horde and the Alliance. Along with being a neutral Allied Race, the Haranir will have
nine classes
available to them: Druid, Hunter, Mage, Monk, Priest, Rogue, Shaman, Warlock, and Warrior.
Haranir having Druid as a playable class also means new Druid travel forms. These travel forms feature a unique array of creatures, including werebears, humanoid owls, lynxes, and more.

New Allied Race for Midnight Announced
Zones in World of Warcraft: Midnight
Midnight brings us back to the ancient lands of Quel'Danas, located in the north of the Eastern Kingdoms. Silvermoon City has been fully rebuilt and will serve as the player hub for the expansion. Players will
level to 90
across four zones, both new and reimagined. The following sections will give a small preview of each zone and what they have to offer.
Silvermoon City
Silvermoon City
is the player hub city for the Midnight expansion. The newly rebuilt Silvermoon City includes new areas like the Sanctum of Light and Memorial Garden. The Scourge Invasion is now in the past, and the surrounding lands have been revived and repaired.
Certain areas of the city will remain accessible by Horde players only.
Eversong Woods
Our first experiences in Midnight begins in Eversong Woods. This zone is expanded to include areas of the original Eversong Woods, Ghostlands, and the Isle of Quel'Danas. All three zones are combined and have healed from the previous wounds caused by the Scourge.
Midnight's story opens with the Defense of the Sunwell against Xal’atath and her forces, following on from the opening cinematic.
Threats in Eversong include the forces of the Void, the Lightbloom (a magical overgrowth), the return of the Amani trolls, and cultists that serve the Void.
Zone Event
: Silvermoon Court - Players achieve balance between four reputations, inspired by the Scryers vs. Aldor in Burning Crusade.
3 Zone Delves
: Parhelion Plaza, Collegiate Calamity, and The Shadow Enclave
3 Zone Dungeons
: Windrunner Spire, Magister's Terrace, and Murder Row
Zul’Aman
Originally a TBC raid, Zul'Aman serves as a new zone for Midnight. This ancestral land of the Forest Tribes contains ancient forests and mountains teeming with wildlife.
Zul'Aman features four Loa temples: Eagle, Lynx, Dragonhawk, and Bear.
Players will meet two new leaders of the Amani: Zul’jarra and Zul’jan, grandchildren of Zul’jin.
At the center of this zone is a fully rebuilt and modernized Atal’Aman, the setting of the original raid against Warlord Zul’jin.
Zone Event
: Abundance - harvest materials for the Loa of Abundance. This is a profession-themed treasure room event. Gathering professions are not required to participate. There are Abundance caves in all four zones.
3 Zone Delves:
The Darkway, Twilight Crypts, and Atal'Aman
2 Zone Dungeons:
Den of Nalorakk, and Maisara Caverns
Harandar
Harandar is the homeland of the new Haranir Allied Race. This zone features a primordial, fungal jungle, built around the roots of the World Trees.
All types of life are derived from the plant matter that spans this zone, including fungal towers, moss bridges, and bioluminescent wildlife.
All life and structures are centered around the roots of the Trees.
Bioluminescent wildlife provides the lighting throughout the zone.
Zone Event
: Legends of the Haranir - Step into the forgotten past of the Harati tribe, using magical paintings to complete a scenario and learn lore.
2 Zone Delves
: The Grudge Pit, and The Gulf of Memory
One Zone Dungeon
: Blinding Vale
Voidstorm
The Voidstorm, a distant and chaotic world filled with void energy, is our final destination when leveling through Midnight.
Creatures throughout the zone fight to consume both the heroes of Azeroth and each other.
Players will encounter stormfields, low gravity, and three massive Nexus Points which devour the Void energy of the land.
Zone Event
: Stormarion Assault - Protect Void Elves as they activate their Singularity Anchor to purge the citadel of remnant void anomalies. This wave defense event consists of both combat and fortifying defenses.
3 Zone Delves
: Shadowguard Point, Sunkiller Sanctum, and Torment's Rise
2 Zone Dungeons
: Voidscar Arena, and Nexus-Point Xenas
New Zone Raid
: The Voidspire
3 New Raids in World of Warcraft: Midnight
Midnight opens with three different raids and a total of nine bosses in Season 1.
The Voidspire
: A 6-boss raid within the spire which serves as Xal’atath’s stronghold in the Voidstorm, culminating in a showdown with Dominus-Lord Averzian and Salhadaar.
The Dreamrift
: A single-boss raid where the veil between primordial dreams and brutal reality is thin. Players join the Shul’ka in their hunt for an undreamt god that never should have been. On the way, we fight half-birthed abominations that lash out against existence itself.
March on Quel’Danas
: A 2-boss raid where the united armies of the elven tribes march on the Sunwell Plateau and the story reaches its climax.
Midnight Raid Release Schedule
From a developer interview,
The Voidspire
and
The Dreamrift
will be available at the beginning of the first season of Midnight, with the
March on Quel'Danas
coming a few weeks later. Players will complete story quests following the events of the first two raids to tie them into the season's final raid.

Torment’s Rise
Torment's Rise
serves as the Nemesis Delve for the first season of Midnight.
New Delve Companion: Valeera Sanguinar
Brann has hung up his hat and will no longer serve as the Delve companion in the Midnight expansion. Instead, players will uncover the secrets found within these new Delves with a new Delve companion,
Valeera Sanguinar
. Valeera is an iconic
Blood Elf Rogue
that once served as a Champion in the Rogue Class Hall in the Legion expansion. Her work speaks for itself, with some saying there is no finer assassin in the world of Azeroth.
"We adapt and endure, ready to strike back when the time is right."
Prey in World of Warcraft: Midnight
Based in Silvermoon City's Murder Row,
Prey
is a new opt-in outdoor world mode for players seeking additional challenges. Led by Magister Astalor Bloodsworn, players hunt down powerful targets across the new zones. But those who join the hunt should be wary, as your prey may also be hunting you... This outdoor activity is
entirely optional
.
There are three difficulty tiers available with Prey:
Normal:
Fairly easy introductory hunts, allowing players to familiarize themselves with the system.
Hard:
Introduces Torments, which increase the challenge of a hunt. Hard difficulty includes confined final encounters.
Nightmare:
Pushes the challenge to the max.
WARNING:
may include a few corpse runs.
Prey is part of the World Content row in the Great Vault, where players can earn up to Hero-track gear. Other notable rewards from this system include cosmetics, mounts, titles, and Housing items.
Stat Squishes Returning with Midnight
Like some previous expansions, Midnight will be squishing stat numbers across the board for both players and creatures in-game. This squish will
NOT
lower player character levels, but rather the other values used to express player power. Here's what you can expect with Midnight's stat squish:
Player and Creature Health Reduced
Player and Creature Damage and Healing Reduced
Gear Item Levels Reduced to Approximately 150-250
Stat Values on Items and Gear Reduced
Transmog Updates in World of Warcraft: Midnight
The Transmog System receives a much-needed overhaul in the Midnight pre-patch.
Transmog is now slot-based: you can assign a certain transmog to each armor slot instead of specific armor pieces. Whenever a new piece of armor is equipped, it automatically takes on the appearance of your current outfit without costing gold.
Changing the assigned transmog in each armor slot will still cost gold.
You can create outfits that auto-swap based on context. For example, players can create a transmog selection that automatically switches when relaxing in their home versus being in the outdoor world or participating in certain types of content.
Fully collecting a Class Set appearance unlocks all lower difficulty variants.
The transmog UI has been updated.
User Interface Updates in World of Warcraft: Midnight
The new suite of Gameplay Assistance Tools continues to see updates:
New Combat Tools:
Includes customizable nameplates, damage meters, and boss ability timelines.
New Journeys Tab:
A new one-stop shop to keep up with Renown, Delves, and Prey progress. Includes a shortcut to Great Vault progress.
Cooldown Manager:
Customizable aura tracking, debuff states, and sound alerts.
Combat Assistant:
Smarter logic for Assisted Highlights and Single-Button play.
Personal Resource Bar:
Now a HUD element with full Edit Mode customization.
Edit Mode:
Expanded to include more User Interface elements.
Accessibility:
Includes adjustable text sizes and improved tooltips.
PvP in World of Warcraft: Midnight
Slayer's Rise in Voidstorm serves as both a World PvP zone and a new 40 vs. 40 Battleground. The Battleground version is inspired by Alterac Valley and Isle of Conquest, with players fighting to conquer enemy bases before fighting the Domanaar commander.
Comp Stomp becomes a permanent mode in Midnight and will rotate between Arathi Basin, Battle for Gilneas, and Silvershard Mines. The intention is that this mode will be a training ground for future PvPers as well as those looking to switch classes or specs.
New and Returning Player Experience Updates in World of Warcraft: Midnight
The new and returning player experience is getting some attention. Whether you're just starting your World of Warcraft journey or coming back after a break, the game will have plenty for you to jump into. Here's what you need to know:
Exile's Reach has been re-tailored to funnel beginning players into Dragonflight. Major lore characters like Wrathion, Khadgar, and Alextraza will be included. Chromie Time still exists for players leveling alts, but first-timers will be taken to the Waking Shore and into Dragonflight immediately following Exile's Reach. This beginner player version of Dragonflight includes story-mode versions of the final raid bosses so players can experience the full story. This ends at level 70.
Returning Players will be able to take a tour through Arathi Highlands with Jaina or Thrall to get them up to speed. This is a simplified, directed version of the game tailored for returning players. You can drop in and out at any point. This experience provides tutorials for skyriding, interrupts, and more, and completing the scenario grants level-appropriate gear.
The War Within Catch-up will offer a shortened questing experience, hitting all the story highlights in a few hours for players just joining the Worldsoul Saga. While it is available to everyone, this is how beginners will level from level 70 to 80.
Getting Ready for World of Warcraft: Midnight
Midnight is the second installment in the three-part World Soul Saga, which makes it a continuation of the War Within's story. You can catch up on the events of The War Within right here:

Night Elves
Naga
The elves of Azeroth are a long lineage of branching variants, originating first from trolls who were mutated by arcane magic from the Well of Eternity into the Night Elves. Forming a vast sprawling empire under the rule of Queen Azshara, the Highborne upper caste had a thirst for power beyond their limits that eventually led them into a pact with the Burning Legion. The lower caste night elves, led by Tyrande Whisperwind and Malfurion Stormrage, were opposed to the demonic alliance, leading to the world-spanning War of the Ancients that resulted in the Well of Eternity imploding on itself, sundering Azeroth into the continents we know today.
While Azshara and her Highborne were lost under the waves of the newly formed Maelstrom, the queen's bargain with the old god N'zoth transformed them into the serpentine
Naga
, where they have plotted against their surface-bound kin ever since. We most notably encountered them during Battle for Azeroth, where Azshara plotted to free N'zoth from his prison -- only to betray him in secret. Her quest for power ultimately failed, but Azshara survived, vanishing into the Void. Nowadays, her loyal Naga followers speak of her prophetic return, one that we may see come to pass soon in Midnight.
The
Night Elves
, meanwhile, isolated themselves to the forests of Kalimdor in the wake of the Sundering, entering a long vigil to protect the world from the Legion's return. Casting off the arcane practices of Azshara and her cohort, the Night Elves instead dedicated themselves to druidic magics and the worship of their moon goddess Elune. When the Legion ultimately returned during the Third War, the Night Elves allied themselves with the humans and orcs to drive them back, eventually joining the Alliance. Re-entering the world saw the Night Elves endure triumphs and hardships alike, with the Fourth War resulting in the decimation of their population and the destruction of their sacred forests at the hands of the Horde. Having recently planted a new World Tree, Amirdrassil, the Night Elves are more worldly than ever, and their dedication to Azeroth's protection will likely see them play a role in Midnight -- even as they perhaps grapple with defending the elves of the Horde.
While the vast majority of Night Elves dedicated themselves to their newfound druidic culture at its inception after the Sundering, the surviving Highborne elves refused to give up the arcane magic they saw as their birthright, even under threat of death. Unable to execute so many of his kin, Malfurion Stormrage instead banished the Highborne elves from Kalimdor, forcing them to sail across the sea to the Eastern Kingdoms. Amidst many hardships from both harsh weather and their magical withdrawal, the Highborne began to mutate, changing into the modern
High Elves
; shorter in stature than the Night Elves and bearing skin tones closer to humans than their elven kin. Eventually, they managed to settle in the northern reaches of the continent -- land unknowingly considered sacred by the native Amani trolls -- and created an arcane font of power known as the Sunwell that all High Elves relied on as a source of strength. Forming the nation of Quel'thalas around it, the Highborne transformed the lands into forests of eternal spring, with Silvermoon City as its grand capital.
The prosperity of Quel'thalas would last for thousands of years even amidst attacks from the Amani seeking to reclaim their lands and the eventual invasion by the Orcish Horde, both of which saw the High Elves form an alliance with their human neighbors in Lordaeron. That prosperity would come to an end, however, when Arthas Menethil, the very prince of the human nation, assaulted their kingdom with an army of undead known as the Scourge. Though they fought valiantly, the High Elves failed to defend their kingdom, with most of their population being wiped out and many being raised into undeath, such as their Ranger-General Sylvanas Windrunner. At the end of his march through their kingdom, Arthas corrupted the Sunwell into a font of undeath to raise the lich Kel'thuzad, and in the process began corrupting the High Elves and their link to the well. Given no other choice, their surviving leader, Prince Kael'thas Sunstrider, was forced to destroy the Sunwell, leaving the High Elves starved of magical energy.
Renaming his people to the
Blood Elves
in honor of their fallen dead, Kael'thas declared his father the last King of Quel'thalas and set out to find a way to sate his people's hunger for magic. That quest would eventually see him ally with Illidan Stormrage, the fel-infused brother of Malfurion who had been imprisoned for crimes committed during the War of the Ancients. Seeking to continue his quest against the Burning Legion, Illidan left for the shattered planet of Outland, where Kael'thas followed him and struck a pact: in exchange for Kael's loyalty on Outland, Illidan would teach them how to harness fel magic to drain magical creatures and sate their addiction.
Sending word of these newfound powers back to Azeroth, Kael'thas ordered the newly enstated Regent-Lord Lor'themar Theron to rebuild Quel'thalas, and Silvermoon was remade through fel might. The Blood Elves had a substitute for the Sunwell, but the same process infused them with fel magic, turning their eyes a sickly green. In order to ensure their reconstruction efforts continued, Lor'themar eventually sought out allies, receiving word from none other than Sylvanas, the former Ranger-General, now an undead queen of the newly liberated Forsaken -- and an ally of the orcish Horde. Despite their initial trepidation to ally with former enemies like the orcs and trolls, the Blood Elves eventually joined the ranks of the Horde, a partnership that lasts to this day.
Not all elves agreed with these practices, however, with many disavowing both the practice of fel magics and their partnership with the Horde. Refusing to take on the moniker of Blood Elf, these remaining High Elves were exiled from Quel'thalas, remaining instead as allies of the Alliance. Inhabiting places like Dalaran and the Hinterlands, the High Elves turned to alternative means to sate their addiction, such as magical artifacts, but their disdain for the Blood Elves never faded. Throughout the years, they have viciously opposed Quel'thalas, with leaders such as Vereesa Windrunner forming the Silver Covenant as a militant force within Dalaran to oppose the presence of their Horde counterpart, the blood elf Sunreavers.
Eventually, Kael'thas would grow frustrated with Illidan's lack of solutions for his people, as the demon hunter became engrossed in his plans to defeat the Burning Legion. Approached in secret by the demon lord Kil'jaeden, Kael'thas entered a desperate pact with the Legion, believing that further indulgence in fel magic was the solution to his people's ailment. His efforts on Outland were initially thwarted by A'dal and the Sha'tari, but Kael'thas survived, delving further into fel magic and descending into madness in the process. Returning to Quel'thalas, he used his powers to transform the Sunwell into a gateway that would usher Kil'jaeden into Azeroth. For his actions, Kael'thas was ultimately vanquished, and his people's attachment to fel magic with it.
Instead, the Blood Elves turned to the holy magic of the Sunwell, newly reborn and transformed into a font of Light by the draenei Prophet Velen using the core of a naaru the Blood Elves had sadistically drained of power under Kael'thas' instruction. No longer suffering from magical withdrawal, the Blood Elves fully dedicated themselves to rebuilding Quel'thalas and aiding their allies in the Horde. However, not all Blood Elves turned to holy practices as a result, with some elven mages such as Magister Umbric believing that they still needed to understand the facets of dark magic like the Void to protect their new font of holy power. This move proved controversial, especially to Grand Magister Rommath, who had once been a staunch servant of Kael'thas, and when Umbric's cohort of elves refused to renounce their practices, Lor'themar had them exiled from Silvermoon for the sake of the Sunwell's safety.
Eventually, those elves would be found by Alleria Windrunner, sister to Sylvanas and Vereesa, and legendary hero of the Alliance who had been thought lost on Outland. In truth, she and her human husband Turalyon had been found by the holy Army of the Light and inducted into their war against the Burning Legion. Though only decades passed on Azeroth, the couple experienced a thousand years within the demonic Twisting Nether, and while Turalyon embraced the Light, Alleria ultimately embraced the Void to fight back against the demons. Eventually returning to Azeroth after the Legion's final defeat on Argus, Alleria was likewise exiled from Silvermoon for the threat her powers posed towards the Sunwell, and she instead approached Umbric looking for allies -- but not before their studies caught the attention of the Void. Nearly corrupted into void beings, Alleria managed to save Umbric's group, stopping the ritual partway through. Now transformed into
Void Elves
, Umbric dedicated his newfound people to Alleria and the Alliance, where they fought against the Horde during the Fourth War.
Alleria and the Alliance weren't the only ones to gain elven allies during the Fourth War, either. Amidst the final Legion invasion, the Broken Isles became the center of conflict, where the Alliance and Horde discovered the city of Suramar. Once thought lost by the Sundering, the Highborne of Suramar protected their city in a magical dome, shielded from all outside influence. Using a powerful titan artifact, they created the Nightwell, a font of power that transformed the isolated elves into
Nightborne
, their culture focused not on the sun or moon, but on arcane power alone. The barrier protecting them would eventually fall to the Legion, their leaders forced into an alliance with the demons in an effort to save their people.
Thanks to the intervention of the Horde and Alliance, the Blood Elves, chief among them, the rebellious Nightborne, were able to drive back the Legion and save their home, with the final battle resulting in the dismantling of the Nightwell. Cured of their addiction by the magical fruit of the Arcan'dor tree, the Nightborne left their isolation and rejoined the world, allying with the Horde. While that partnership would quickly be tested by the Fourth War, the Nightborne's leader Thalyssra would find companionship with Lor'themar Theron, with the two eventually marrying each other.
As the primary residents of Quel'thalas, the Blood Elves are certain to take the lead in Midnight, where their rivalry with their High Elf and Void Elf kin in the Alliance will likely play a key role as we fight against the oncoming Void invasion. Likewise, the marriage between leaders likely means that the Nightborne will return the favor given by the Blood Elves and defend their home against invasion. Characters like Lor'themar, Alleria, Thalyssra, Vereesa, Umbric, and more serve as key players in the story of Warcraft's elves, and Chris Metzen described Midnight as an expansion that will see us "reunify the scattered elven tribes of Azeroth," and with their various rivalries and connections to Light and Void alike, that journey is certain to be immense in scale.

I play WOW using a computer that has the Windows 7 SP2 operating system. I received a notice today that I would not be able to play the next expansion because it would require Win 10 or higher. Will I be able to play up to the War Within current expansion when the Midnight expansion comes out?

Where is the info coming from about Ghostlands being healed? I can see they combined the two, but we are very limited on what we know. Or are you making a guess based on what we are seeing? Because I can't find anywhere where ti says Ghostlands and Eversong are now one and healed. I mean yeah a revamp for sure.
Same with Silvermoon stuff being the hub for all players and some places still being Horde only. Again that is obvious, but where exactly was it said?

Next he should do a write up about the scattered tribes of trolls and list "Elves" as one of the tribes.
Edit: Also he ought to include Arathi Empire in this write-up.

Honestly hope that Devourer DH will be allowed to use Polearms. With what seem to be scythe styled abilities it's weird that the class can't actually use any of the scythe themed transmogs.

It really bothers me, that DH-s can be 2 race on ally but only 1 for horde. Is it really hurt anyone to make it 2-2 on both sides? Night Elves + Void Elves for ally and Blood Elves + NIGHTBORN for horde? Nightbornes are so unpoppular and thier racial is so useless.. atleast let them be DH-s for the balance.

I was initially lukewarm about this expansion and wasn't planning on coming back to WoW....
But then I saw that Silvermoon City is getting a facelift and becoming the next player hub. (I slowly became interested.)
Then I saw this new Prey system (that got me curious).
THEN I saw that Valeera Sanguinar is the new delve companion (I pre-ordered Midnight).
My only reservation is player housing. I know this is a feature many longtime players have been asking for since—forever, but what is this really bringing to the table that the MMORPG community hasn't seen already?
The player housing by itself cannot seriously be the only hook?
EDIT: I hadn't realized at the time that it appears players can actually edit the houses' building structure... so that's really interesting. I haven't seen MMORPG player housing like this since the Dimensions in Rift. (I believe Wildstar also had something similar.)
If Blizzard can expand on the exterior materials and textures we can use, we might have something legitimately special here that MMORPG players haven't seen in a while with a housing system.

Just please stop catering to the players that don't even appreciate the game.
No one is forced to make alt characters. If you want to experience the game on a different character, you can create one. But you will have to earn everything with that new character. No handouts or skips or easy mode just because it is an alt.
It will never make sense or be accepted by the majority of players.
Even now, many who play alts don't want easy mode or things they never earned. This is an MMORPG. Earning things properly is part of the experience. Just giving things away to players just because they did it on one character is so, so wrong.
This causes more players to rush content, skip content, and grind content. Everyone can choose to do most on one character or a bunch of characters, but each is unique and it's own separate experience. If that changes, then that is a huge loss for WoW and the community and the game will continue to decline.
This is why for years and years, many would keep their alts low levels because they didn't want to repeat content yet and that is their choice. But if someone does want to level up a character, then they should know they have to do it right and earn things properly.
We already have so many characters at max level that have barely seen 1/2 of ONE expansion. That have been boosted or carried or given ways to rush rush rush. And with remix game mode making more players max level without earning it, is it any wonder why groups at max level are falling apart because so many have no idea what they are doing?
No more please. Characters matter. Mains should always matter the most. Nothing should be shared. It defeats the purpose of this being an mmorpg and the rpg mattering.

I'm running on a Mac Mini, with 3.2 6-core i7 intel chip, 32 gigs ram (plus a pumped up external ram drive) and Sequoia 15.7.3.
Everything goes fine for the first 10 minutes, then it freezes solid, requiring a full reboot.
WHAT DID THEY DO THIS TIME! So frustrated.
Patch notes are lousy on wether there is a tech upgrade needed for this new 'Midnight' expansion.
Anyone know what is going on? Their people answer the the ticket by referring to the forums.

10 years offline. What an incredible Elf resume I just read, well executed, pure delight to my eyes and the jewel of the crown:
''and Chris Metzen described Midnight as an expansion that will see us "reunify the scattered elven tribes of Azeroth," and with their various rivalries and connections to Light and Void alike, that journey is certain to be immense in scale.''
I can't wait to see how all elves will be unified that would be an incredible plot twist, legendary, to the Metzen level.

This page should include what features are/are not available during the early access.

Just got the Midnight expansion "kit" in the mail. Wow, just wow. Book is maps, housing. classes, weapons, mogs, bosses and cities or Q hubs. Awesome book. Question though, the back 1/4 of the book is all of the new druid forms. Are these available to all the players? If so, the Druids got a lot of love on this expac, again, woot. FedEx driver plays too; we sat in the front yard just checking it out for 30 min. Some of the new forms are just staggering and strongly nature based, as druids are. Some of the bears (my main spec) are just wicked looking. Looking at the book, the ZA raid is having a very strong BoD from BFA pull and feel to me looking at the book. No way it could be as blistering as Mythic BoD was, it is still wrecking high level raid teams even today. Blizz killin it again!

Annoyed, I have been wearing the Lionsguard (Green) on my hunter as long as I can remember and now all of a sudden in Midnight its bugged. I was wearing it all through the intro series of quests, but as soon as I landed in Silvermoon the chest piece is no longer wearable and a popup/alert shows in the transmog screen that the chest piece isnt wearable...just stupid and throws off the whole look of my character...sounds stupid, lol, but this stuff matters to me
