Ruby Life Pools Dungeon Quick Tips

Sidestep the 原始重戰士's 挖掘衝擊. Your tank must pay attention to the tank-buster ability - 壓制潰擊.

Interrupt 閃霜織寒者's 冰箭 & 寒冰護盾. This is by far the most important caster in the area.

Be aware of the clutches of eggs in the pools around the area. These will hatch if any player or enemy steps on them, spawning one Infused Whelp for each egg that was hatched. These casts 冰冷爪擊 relatively frequently on the highest threat target leading to a large amount of unnecessary frost damage and a potential stun if not dispelled.

At last, when facing 挑戰者德拉哈, make sure to avoid its frontal charge - 熾炎衝刺. In addition, your tank must use a defensive during the 鋼鐵亂舞 channelled attacks.

Avoid the 冰雹炸彈 before it hits the ground. It is bait to bait them close to each other so you can have more room to play around.

The person that gets a 冰凍風暴 must place it outside of melee and preferably away from your group. Keep in mind that you have a limited time to escape the "vortex" without taking any damage. Here is a good place to use a defensive cooldown if you are in a critical HP. Remember that at the end of the 冰凍風暴 cast, it will do damage and push you back, so stay away from any existing 冰雹炸彈.

Important mechanic: At 75% and 45%, 梅莉卓沙‧寒磨 will spawn a dozen of Infused Whelps that do only auto-attacks to your tank and apply 冰冷爪擊 (healers must dispel that). During this time, you have to break the 冰霜超載 to end the intermission.

When 梅莉卓沙‧寒磨 spawns its Infused Whelps, watch out for their tank as they apply 冰冷爪擊. Collect the aggro and ask your healer for a dispel. Make sure to stack them under the boss so your party can both, cleave them and break the 冰霜超載.

Keep everyone healthy during the 冰凍風暴. Remember that there will be a large burst of damage at the end of the cast.

Use healing cooldowns during the 冰霜超載, the longer the shield lasts the more you have to heal. This is the hardest part of the fight.

Use defensive cooldowns for 冰凍風暴 if your health dips low.

Prepare your offensive cooldowns for 冰霜超載, the faster you break the shield the easier becomes for your whole party.

Immediately after defeating 梅莉卓沙‧寒磨, hop on the one of the 光輝飛龍, who will carry you to the next area.2可幾亞‧焰蹄雷首蜥蜴火喉

雷首蜥蜴 (left screenshot) is slightly harder to deal with of the two. Dodge the 風暴之息 at all costs, as only a few ticks of this frontal will likely kill you.

Your tank must pay attention to 雷霆之口, the "tank-buster" will deal high damage and knock them back.

Last but not least, watch out for 轟天雷 debuffs. It will always apply 2 applications, each of them going on a random player from your party. Upon expiring, it will deal massive damage to all players within 100 yds, so the best way to deal with it is to let your healer dispel one target and wait until the second debuff expires, so you can delay the damage coming out of it. Upon dispelling, it will deal the full damage that you would normally get upon the debuff expiring.

火喉 is the easier "mini-boss" that you must face. Dodge its 火息術 frontal cast at all costs.

The drake will also cast 火焰之口 on your tank; the "tank-buster" ability will deal massive damage followed by a lingering damage-over-time Fire effect.

Finally, once 火喉 is below 50% health it will cast 熔火之血, which can be treated as an Enrage effect that cannot be dispelled and will deal damage to all players within 60 yards. The longer the 火喉 stays alive the more stacks of 熔火之血 it will get, increasing its damage with every tick, hence why you want to delay your damage cooldowns to nuke it faster during this "burn phase".

Outside of that, there are several other notable non-boss-enemies you must watch out for:

Interrupt 洪荒使者織燼者's 餘燼箭 at all times. Occasionally they will buff themselves with 熊熊野心, having higher haste but also taking 25% more damage. If you feel confident, let the debuff persist so you can kill them faster.

Stop any 烈焰之舞 casts coming from 洪荒使者舞焰者. In addition, right before they die, it will trigger 榮耀之火 - dodge the ground swirlies and break/purge the shield as quickly as you can.

Pay attention to 火縛毀滅者's 活體爆彈, it goes on a random target, it does damage per second and it explodes at the end, dealing a high amount of damage - knocking you in the air (use defensive cooldowns if vulnerable). Sidetip, you can get closer to melee and use the 活體爆彈 end-close knock-up explosion on 洪荒使者織燼者 & 洪荒使者舞焰者 to disturb them. In addition, 火縛毀滅者 will occasionally cast 煉獄 doing unavoidable AoE damage to everyone within 100 yards, plus an additional damage-over-time effect every 2 seconds for 6 seconds.. Finally, when the 火縛毀滅者 is defeated, it will cast 燃盡 - quickly move out of melee to avoid taking lethal damage.

Avoid being hit by the initial damage of 火縛儀式. Note that it is always based on your location; stacking together will
"manipulate" where the add spawns. Upon that, switch immediately on 炎縛火焰風暴 and interrupt its 咆哮之炎 at all costs.

Be aware that upon death, 炎縛火焰風暴 will cast 燃盡, leaving you a few seconds window to escape the mass AoE and its 焦土 follow-up effect.

Another reason why it is important to nuke the 炎縛火焰風暴 is that they deal uninterruptible group-wide AoE damage - 煉獄. Ideally would like to have only 1 of such casts per add.

Avoid the 熔岩巨石 at all costs.

Position yourself so that 熔岩巨石 rolls into the sides of the room, while being close enough to allow DPS to easily cleave any Blazing Firestorms currently active. The easiest way to do this is to have your back to the sides of the room.

Use active mitigation for 灼熱之擊 and its follow-up effect 灼熱之傷.

Beware of 炎縛火焰風暴's 煉獄 cast, as it will deal unavoidable AoE damage to everyone in your group. This is a good place to use your healing cooldowns.

Be ready to use external healing cooldowns for your tank during 灼熱之擊 and its follow-up effect 灼熱之傷.

Your priority in the fight is making sure to kill 炎縛火焰風暴 before he casts 煉獄 for a second time.

Avoid staying unnecessary in melee during 風暴戰士's 雷霆一擊, which will reduce your Haste and Movement Speed if inflicted.

洪荒雷雲 have a large absorb on them; when this expires, is dispelled, or runs out of health, they cast 轟雷引爆 at a location (dodge it) before despawning.

Use defensives when 暴風導魔師 is casting 閃電風暴. In addition, use your spare interrupts to stop the 雷霆箭.

Interrupt 烈焰傳導者's 爍火 at all costs, as not only does it deal damage to a random player, but it also heals the Channeler. You can choose to ignore the 燃燒血脈 buff since it makes them take more damage, but it also increases their Haste by 50%.

This is one of the hardest 2 - phase fights you will face. At the beginning of the fight you will be fighting 俄克哈‧風脈, but once he reaches 50% health 凱拉卡 will join him, starting the Second Phase. Before that, there are several abilities you must avoid from both bosses:All Roles

Dodge spell=381525 coming from 凱拉卡, failing to do so will apply a a 煉獄之核 to you. Once 煉獄之核 expires, it will leave a lingering 燃焰餘燼 fire pool on the ground. Heads up, if you get in contact with 燃焰餘燼, they will re-apply 煉獄之核.

Stop casting when 俄克哈‧風脈 is about to finish its 雲爆 channel, otherwise, it will "lock" you on a spell cast for a short period.

Beware when 俄克哈‧風脈 is casting 改變之風, as it will deal AoE damage to everyone and also apply a pushback effect. The pushback effect will also move any existing 燃焰餘燼.

During Phase 1 of the fight, 凱拉卡 will periodically target one player from your party to cast 烈焰噴濺, make sure you use defensive!

Chunking 凱拉卡's health is going to be the most important as they are the more dangerous part of the boss fight. Use every opportunity to deal damage to them while they are on the ground during Phase 1.

Tank

Position 俄克哈‧風脈 (Phase 1) to allow your DPS to dodge 熾燃焰息 while not being too close to the edge to accidentally get pushed off by 改變之風 and simultaneously cleave off 凱拉卡.

風暴猛擊 is a very powerful tankbuster with a stacking magic vulnerability debuff that does not fall off on its majority of the time. Ask for your healer's dispel and plan your defensive cooldowns better.

Be aware of where all the 燃焰餘燼 are, and position the boss so that you have an escape route if the winds push them towards you. As the tank, you are uniquely positioned to be able to see behind your group - in this fight, this is a major advantage!

Healer

This fight is made arbitrarily harder the worse your group is at dodging avoidable damage and not standing in 燃焰餘燼. Be aware of your surroundings.

煉獄之核 stacks hurt; the good news is that the unavoidable ones (from 烈焰噴濺) are only going to go on 2 people. The bad news is that DPS randomly taking avoidable damage will compound this problem, as they'll also be punished with bonus 煉獄之核 stacks.

Do not panic! Track ability timers, and play proactively rather than reactively on this encounter. Preparation and anticipating mechanics are some of the best ways to not get caught out and roasted by the breath, boxed in by 煉獄之核 or thrown off the platform.

DPS

During Phase 1 do your best to cleave both bosses to 50% before entering Phase 2, as the early fight is much easier.

Use defensive cooldowns if you get 煉獄之核 debuff on you.

This guide leaves out or is mistaken on quite a few items. For instance, it glosses over the other critical abilities associated with the trash in the ring leading to Kokia (2nd boss), and it is Primalist Flamedancers who cast Flame Dance, not the Cinderweavers. Knowing the ability of the Fire drake, that he puts out a stacking DOT on all players when he goes below 50%, is crucial, and is not represented in this guide. I expect there are other serious omissions as well.

Can someone update this to include all the Blazehoof trash? Very strange to only put half the mobs you encounter in that area. And you guys wonder why people don't care for your Dragonflight guides thus far.

There is one mistake with this guide that I also believed until I started running it and had confirmed with another player. The 熔岩巨石 will target a random player not just the tank, and this guide makes it seem like the 熔岩巨石 is the tanks sole responsibility. Everyone needs to be aware of positioning . Not too mention that if the arena does become compromised with bad fire positioning, you can drastically move the boss to do somewhat of a soft reset with a clear canvas.
