Night Fae Frost Mage Covenant Abilities
Night Fae Frost Mage Class Ability:

, but is much weaker on a single target, though. Unlike Fire and Arcane, Frost has no short cooldowns that contribute a lot of damage to its rotation, aside from

Conduit can be used to enhance Shifting Power, which increases the cooldown recovery from the spell. This is not recommended.

, an instant movement speed increase and teleport, with an in-built teleport mechanic you can use every few seconds. This is an amazing mobility tool, but Frost already has reasonable mobility with

to reposition. The spell isn't worthless by any means, but it also doesn't address any sort of glaring weakness for Frost Mages.

can be channeled while moving. Each enemy hit by Shifting Power grants you 1% Critical Strike and Haste, up to 10% for 10 sec.
The issue with adding new legendary items will always be that if they don't beat out the existing best legendary for the specialization in some use-case, then they aren't worth even worrying about.

falls short in a big way and really only serves as a way to add cast-while-moving to

Other Legendary Interactions for Night Fae Frost Mages
Having Frost Nova available more often makes

stronger, but this is really a solo-content Legendary as other players can still break your freeze effect.

also becomes a bit more powerful, but not to the point where

becomes worth casting against a single target.

Frost Mage Rotation Guide
On a single target, you can skip using

entirely unless you're using

and it has more than 16 seconds left on the cooldown; Dreamweaver with
萬紫千紅
; or Niya with
林地鼓舞
. In the latter two cases, only use
法能移轉
for one tick, to activate the respective Soulbind traits. In AoE, you should use it any time

and
冰霜之球
are both on cooldown.
Night Fae Frost Mage Talent Builds
Choosing the Night Fae Covenant doesn't affect Frost's talents much, though does make
力之符文
slightly preferable to
咒法之流
, even on a single-target. It buffs short cooldowns like
寒冰新星
,
黯冰箭
and
彗星風暴
, but not to the point that they're worth using over the more meta Frost choices.

Night Fae Frost Mage Gearing Differences
There are no gearing differences from choosing the Night Fae Covenant. It doesn't increase the power of any trinket, weapon or particular stat.

Night Fae Frost Mage Soulbinds
All Night Fae players have access to the same three Soulbinds:
Niya
,
Dreamweaver
and
Korayn
. They are the NPCs you complete the zone story with, and allow you to 'attune' yourself to them to gain access to a tree of upgrades centered around your base toolkit (through Conduits) and Covenant abilities (through special, game-wide traits).
This tree progressively unlocks based on completion steps (such as finishing the campaign) and your Renown level with the Night Fae Covenant.
We've summarized the optimal traits for each Soulbind below, along with potential Conduits to use. Bear in mind that Endurance and Finesse conduit choice will largely depend on which encounter you're progressing on, as their value changes dramatically based on the requirements they enforce.
Niya has one strong damage trait, and one that's a very minor damage increase in most situations:

grants a stacking buff when dealing damage that grants increased health and Mastery. Activating

grants eight stacks lasting for 30 seconds, so we'll often have multiple stacks at once. Not worth playing around, however.

is effectively a passive damage proc.

applies a DoT to any target you interrupt, and deals a burst of damage to them if they're interrupted again in 30 seconds. A good damage boost if you can interrupt on cooldown, but very minor otherwise.

is Dreamweaver's opening ability; a cheat death effect on a 10-minute cooldown. Far more useful than other on-death Soulbind traits like

, it returns you to life at maximum efficiency, though takes 10 seconds to fully activate. Any Mythic raider can tell you how useful a cheat death is:

is one of Fire Mage's strongest progression tools.

is a great trait - again, Versatility is incredibly good for progression raiding.

increases Haste by 12% every time we use

, which is very powerful considering the ability's short cooldown.

is a flat percent damage increase. This is a boring trait, but it's still good.

Korayn has an excellent opening trait, but most of his other abilities focus on utility.

is a flat 10% damage buff to targets above 75% health, which generally accounts for the majority of most bosses' first phase. It's not as strong for Frost as it is for more bursty specs like Arcane, but it's still very valuable.

grants a critical strike buff if you hit an enemy before they can hit you, but means skipping a second Potency slot - it's not strong enough to justify that.

flips the script on

granting more damage in execute if you can also deal damage to high health mobs to proc the high health damage buff.
Korayn's tree is mostly about enhancing defenses and movement speed, like

and the supremely underwhelming

Double Legendaries for Night Fae Frost Mage
