Welcome to the Survival Hunter leveling guide for ! This guide goes through various tips and tricks to optimize your journey when leveling your Survival Hunter. It includes a breakdown of rotations and cooldown usage that suit a leveling character, as well as links to the best leveling talent builds.

Survival Hunter Leveling in
Survival is a fast-paced melee specialization that's effectively GCD locked after level 13, you'll have no long periods of waiting or downtime to do things. The gameplay loop is spread out nicely through the talent tree with you getting important AoE abilities (Wildfire Bomb and Boomstick) early, with important spec mechanics (Tip of the Spear and Strike as One) within the first 21 levels. After that you fill out the gameplay loop with important cooldown reduction mechanics and powerful passive abilities.
Level 80 to 90 Talent Order
While leveling in Midnight, you'll earn 10 new talent points, spread between Spec, Class, and Hero trees, with four points to be allocated to the Spec tree, and three to the Class and Hero trees. We recommend spending the point in the following order:

Survival Hunter Leveling Tips for
Outside of your damaging abilities, there are a lot of tools Survival has in its arsenal to stay healthy and deal with enemies. Quick things to think about as you unlock them in the tree are:
Keep
誤導
on your pet for extra safety and ensure

is active to keep your pet alive.
Use a Ferocity pet for the free Leech and important cooldown in

should be used whenever you're at risk, you don't get a special reward for holding it unnecessarily with how short the cooldown is.
In a dicey situation?

can you keep you alive while you regroup, your pet finishes off a target, or to live long enough for a cooldown to finish.
In an even more dicey situation?
假死
can save your life and it has a very low cooldown.
If you really need something to die, use Primal Rage for greatly increased damage output.

As you level, you'll gain access to talent points using the Hunter class tree and the Enhancement spec tree.

Midnight Survival Spec Tree
Pathing Notes
Your spec tree is the most important part of building your character, as it covers the additional abilities needed to flesh out the gameplay. As such, pathing here is important early to make sure you build a solid rotation, and then is about refining that core based on preference.
The first chunk of your tree is entirely unavoidable and makes up the bulk of your rotation. We recommend pathing into

to round off your spec's primary mechanics and rotation. After building your main tools, you'll first pick up

first to speed up leveling with AoE packs, and after that you can really spend your points in any of the recommended nodes as you like. However, it'd be a good idea to pick up

Midnight Hunter Class Tree
Pathing Notes
The Hunter Class tree, is much looser, adding additional utility and self-healing to keep you healthy during your adventures. Things are more freeform, and a roughly guided path is as follows:

for free by playing Survival, and the rest of this first bucket can be talented into however you like. We just recommend avoiding

as we don't really need to kite at ranged while leveling. We also avoid

as the Leech from a Ferocity pet should keep your pet more than healthy for leveling.
This second bracket can really be grabbed in any order you like.

Survival Hunter Leveling Rotation in
The goal of Survivals' gameplay loop is to ensure you're generating and spending as many Tip of the Spear stacks as possible without wasting any. While doing this, you'll be paying attention to Wildfire Bomb and Boomstick cooldown, as these have many effects to lower themselves and you'll want to use these as soon as possible without sitting on the abilities. It's a streamlined loop and working on this while you level will help you develop these fundamentals for end game content.
Survival Hunter Leveling Single Target Rotation
Survival will feel incredibly awkward level 10 to 11 as you have...zero abilities besides

. Once you suffer to 11 you'll get Kill Command and shortly after you'll have both Raptor Strike and WIldfire Bomb. After that, you'll always have something to press and leveling should go very smoothly due to on-demand cooldown-less damage and a pet to keep you safe.

If you're using the optimal Sentinel talent build, you'll have various talents such as

Survival Hunter Dungeon Rotation
Due to dungeons being a part of the leveling experience and the increased focus on AoE throughout, priorities are slightly different. They still follow the same general rules, due to how much of our toolkit cleaves.

The major difference between single target and AoE/Dungeon rotations as Survival is that you'll cycle through Boomstick and Wildfire Bomb far faster, which leaves you less free GCDs for Raptor Strike.
Survival Hunter Cooldown Usage in
Survival doesn't gain it's traditional cooldown in Takedown until level 51. However, one of your main rotational abilities have moderate cooldowns in Boomstick. It's important to note that both of these abilities do consume and benefit from Tip of the Spear, so for optimal damage make sure to have a Tip of the Spear stack ready.
Takedown -
While leveling this cooldown is mostly a "delete this" button on a single target (or a pack if you have

talented). The duration of the damage amp is a bit too low to do anything besides burn down an elite mob or dangerous pack.
Boomstick-
While we get this ability at level 17, it's not really rotational until level 53 due to the cooldown reductions being back loaded. Before that point, we recommend using this as an AoE damage cooldown.

This guide is broken and not up to date.
Recommended Hero talent order shows as "(Spell #XXXXXX)"
Hunter talents doesn't show the nodes as if unselected
Survival talents are telling us to take both "Butchery" and "Flanking Strikes" when you can only pick one. And then to take "Exposed Flank" which doesn't exist.

STILL
broken. The loadout doesn't paste
at all
but instead, "
Nothing to Copy!
" is displayed.
Is this a joke
