To be honest I find that the entire guardian druid guide was done without effort. The recommendations done in the azerite armor part do not include the BiS shoulder that the guide is recommending.

If you already saw the stats part of the guide and then you check the recommended BiS, you don't have any kind of idea why the author propose this kind of stats distribution on the recommended gear.

And don't let me talk about the pre-raid part of this guide since it is recommending a Head piece that's complete trash for guardian druids and not including the King Rest cape 不懈部族披風 that give us versatily/mastery and also a speed buff is also a big mistake. Why does wowhead allow this kind of guides that are misleading and not really giving useful information. The guide doesn't always mantain the same kind of thinking during the whole guide.

Atleast you could give us a section where you can give us a trully ideal kind of set. Where you (the author) can tell us what would be the best set to wear if we had everything set to a certain ilvl (415 or higher if you wish). I'm quite disapointed every time I want to get some reference on how to improve my guardian equipment and I end up reading the same kind of guide by the same guy on every other website.

We already have an underperforming tank and we do not need a guide that doesn't really help on guiding others into being better guardians.

Tnx for your effort on writting the guid but here at gear guid, it's a little bit messy. It's not clear if you are providing a set of gear for who. A player who is at process of lvlup or a lvl 120 who is going to start real gear up. I think a list of best gears for each role was good enough and it was better if you assign the rest to Droptimizer.

Should probably add that the stats on the Mistcaller Ocarina can be changed so it's not just vers. There's a vendor at the theatre that will change it to whichever secondary stat you need.

Guide outdated or low effort at least in terms of trinkets. How is Splintered Heart of Al'ar not on this list? Might be the best tanking trinket in the game rn. It's not even on the list of notable trinkets. Drops from Sun King.

Also Bargast's Leash is listed as BIS while its activatable is almost entirely useless. Maybe if you are having trouble mitigating damage while taunt swapping a boss you could use it on your co-tank while you are tanking, but this is generally not a problem guardian has. Also, you can't do that on Sludgefist because you are both tanking all the time, which is probably the hardest hitting boss for tanking in Caste Nathria.

Need to update "Mythic+ Best in Slot Gear for Guardian Druid" section and remove all the gear sources from current SL dungeons, other than Tazavesh. All those dungeons won't be available for Season 4. Right now the list includes the mix of all SL dungeons as well as "new" old returning ones like Kara and Docks.

Edit:- Same goes for Trinkets section too! It still includes trinkets from DoS. Looking at the updated date at the top right, it was updated on 26th Jul. Not sure why guide writer decided to keep the loot from these dungeons on the list when it's been known for weeks those won't be available in Season 4.

So as a leatherworker Guardian druid you basically craft the legs yourself if you never plan to kill HC or Mythic Razsageth? And put haste + vers+ spikes on them. The rest 4 pieces will be tier set it seems. The items outside of the neck you listed have terrible stats and bonuses.

I crafted weapon with Bronzed Grip Wrappings on it. Over a m+ run it did .6% dmg and .5% healing. Stay. Away.

It takes far too much haste to make it valuable for Guardian Tanks. Versatility and Mastery is BY FAR the best for Guardians. If you're busy looking for haste gear, please reroll. It's completely unnecessary to be worrying about your basic attack cooldown speed over total damage and healing done/received. .... YUCK. It takes far too much haste to even make the slightest difference in your attack speed. That is why.

Be aware that the set bonus of the crafted gear counts as embellishments, so if you wear 2 of the 3 possible crafted set, it will count as 2 embellishments.

I'm sure it's been pointed out, but in the BIS Gear section you've listed Flaring Cowl as a Jewel Crafting item, it's not-- It's in fact a Leatherworking Item.

Should be pointed out, you can convert Belt, Bracers and Boots into better stats using Catalyst. This will get rid of Crit/Mastery and give you some nice Vers/Haste/Mastery combos. Cloak still has the same Crit/Haste stats and unless you want to complete X-Mog Tier Set, you can ignore that slot!

The section "Best Embellishments" lists "Life-Bound Bindings" as the second best.
However, afaik, that particular item does not have any ingrained embellishment. Is this supposed to be a recommended slot then?
The first one on the list, the toxic boots, do have the embellishment so I'm a bit confused.

How does Heart of Thunder effect Elune's favored exactly? The trinket indicates it is nature damage while Elune's favor requires arcane damage for the heal proc.

I can confirm that this is not the case. Testing with brambles explosions (which deal Nature damage) against a single target, I received precisely zero healing from Elune's Favored, despite being injured.

EDIT: Okay... after actually obtaining the Heart of Thunder for myself and having it proc on the tanking dummy, Elune's Favored does work with the trinket's proc despite it being purely nature damage. (...so why doesn't it work with Brambles, then...?)

Pretty sure Oakhearts gnarled root a trinket from DHT is ranged attacks only. Not sure how good this really is for us unless you are running the moonfire build.

Why is Oakheart's Gnarled Root rated in S-tier? In a 5 target cleave scenario, it was dealing only about 4.5-5% of my damage, since the only thing that can really proc it for us is Moonfire, and its proc is Shadow damage based, which is damage type that we don't really synergize with (If it were Nature or Arcane damage, we'd be cooking with gas).

Meanwhile, Ember of Nullification languishes in B-tier despite having the same amount of versatility and a metric ton of agility, which is our most important stat, with the caption that "it's a stat stick with reduced weighting"... even though it has the exact same amount of agility or versatility that a trinket with just one of the two stats on it would, plus the 2 second silence every 20 seconds on a caster that hits the druid.

(As a side note: the agility on the Ember was enough to bump my paper thrash damage up by roughly 7%, and I'd guess there's a similar damage increase across the board for Guardian's other abilities)

Also, why isn't Sustaining Alchemy Stone on the list? Flat versatility and an agility proc sounds like a godsend for a bear, and you don't even need to be an alchemist to be able to use it!

This is now outdated since War Within is out.

I think other websites should be compared. This loudout doesn't look right. Haste+Vers Instead of Vers+Mast or Crit+Mast seems wrong. Mastery and Crit increase the functionality of a guardian druid. Versatility increases base HP and defense. Proof is in the statistics. Haste is kind of pointless for a Guardian Druid.

Another expansion where an alchemy stone gives flat vers and an agility proc, another expansion where it isn't even mentioned in the guardian trinket list. :(

Like, come on, it's practically tailor-made for guardians with the flat vers being one of our top two secondaries, and the agility proc making our ironfurs go nuts!

(You don't even need to be an alchemist to use it, and it doesn't take up an embellishment slot!)

This guide is really inconsistent in a few places..

Two BiS crafted pieces suggested are cloak and bracers but second priority to craft is boots when there's raid boots listed in the BiS list that have perfect stats?

Second priority thing to spend "dinars" on is "Eye of Kezan" trinket which isn't in our overall BiS list. You also seem to have misunderstood the green text on "Scrapfield 9001" in your explanation of why it's a good trinket for Guardian (unless you're suggesting that the haste buff will proc during the internal cooldown of the shield which sounds great but ought to have been explained).

I'm not sure anyone would be crafting boots this tier given the ones from raid increase the power of our cape. I also am not sure why you'd craft the rune-branded belt instead of the adrenal surge belt?

In the Best Crafted Gear for Guardian Druid section, it advises crafting a Rune-Branded Waistband
Then in Crafting notes, it goes back to Adrenal Surge Clasp.

Very confusing! I assume the Adrenal Surge Clasp is the correct BIS/Top crafted belt?
