Toggle Pet Growl Macro?

Would it be possible for my Hunter to set up a macro to toggle my pet's Growl on/off?

Why would you use a macro for that? Put it in your pet's action bar and you can right-click it to toggle the auto-cast. I am no hunter expert, I don't have much macro for it, blahblahblah... I don't know.

@GTMistral: The pet bar is ugly and takes up unnecessary screen space. I have it hidden and I really don't want to unhide it for this one purpose. (As it serves no other purpose)

As well as using the pet action bar, you could also open the pet spellbook & toggle it from there, saving yourself a macro (assuming the macro only serves to switch Growl on/off)

I liked Maunotavast's macro for toggling Growl on and off:

/petautocasttoggle Growl
/petautocaston Growl
/petautocastoff Growl

That didn't work for me, but I was able to adjust it slightly:

#showtooltip Growl
/petautocasttoggle Growl
/petautocaston Growl
/petautocastoff Growl

Why create a macro for Growl?
I wanted to toggle Growl off (and on) quickly while questing solo in Shadowlands -- without taking the time to click on the pet action bar. With the macro there is no "countdown" to turn off growl -- it's instant. I wanted to assign the macro to a mouse button. So I moved the macro icon to a side action bar and and gave it a keybind I seldom use.
