Bow upgrades?

Short and sweet advice request for a hunter in a very particular situation:

S1 gear. Hates crossbows and guns. Hates. Using Valano's Bow right now. Needs a bow upgrade for BGs. Not in a guild. Doesn't play arena. Any options?

Wrathtide Longbow
Marksman's Bow

those are the only 2 you can get without raiding. PuG heroic Steamvaults for the Wrathtide, grind Thrallmar rep (assuming you're horde) till exalted for the Marksman's Bow. GL

...or play some other RPG that is not online and doesn't require you to interact with other people. It's not my nature to be harsh, but the better gear is intended and available for those that play the game as intended.

Thanks for the feedback. It was all great right up until here where you make assumptions. This is a horde character, used for soloing and doing PvP when not busy on one of 4 70s on the alliance side (who are guilded). Unguilded != some anti-social pariah who cannot get a guild. That's a misguided stereotype.

As for playing the game "as intended", the example of a character in S1 gear or below who wants to get decent items but will sacrifice some stats for what they would like for their character conception would seem to fit a large swath, if not the majority, of WoW players. Your knowledge of the game designers detailed intentions regarding how they see various player demographics is the same as mine...i.e. zero.

Thanks for the info though, I had come to the conclusion that the Markman's Bow was the only good choice (that was not largely luck dependent like the Steamvault bow), and this thread seems to confirm that.
