The Tenth Anniversary Celebrations will include a (40 man) boosted-to-max*, LFR version of MC wherein you can smash Ragnaros' face yet again, as well as a full-scale, large-group battleground version of the Tarren Mill vs Southshore battle.

There are a handful of rewards from this Anniversary celebration, as well as quite a few Achievements.

The mount, 熔核犬鎖鍊, comes from 你們愚蠢地追尋拉格納羅斯的力量！, the Achievement for killing Rag in the beefed up MC during this event.

The mount's view in 3D model can be viewed here until the mount page no longer shows the placeholder horse.

Also there will be fire-y helms. There will be fire gem helms for EVERYBODY.

Apparently 迷你憎光, the tiny 憎光 can possibly be obtained by running the MC raid more than once.

Repeat MC runners will have a chance to get Hatespark the Tiny and the Flames of Ragnaros enchant illusion :)

Just logging in during this Anniversary Celebration will also reward you with a 熔火柯基犬 battle pet.

Completing the achievement 希爾斯布萊德光榮之役/: 希爾斯布萊德光榮之役, will give you the title, , or the title .

Note: There will be two brackets for the SS vs TM battle, 90-99 and 100, so you don't have to rush to 100 to have the BG experience on all your alts, if you so desire. :)

The customary temporary experience boost, 節慶禮包, will also be available during the event. This is great timing for it, if you plan on leveling alts early on in the expansion, as the anniversary event will occur Soon™ after the expansion launches.

The current dates:

Start: 2014/11/21 ~~at 10:00 AM~~
End: 2015/1/06 ~~at 10:00 AM~~

~~The 2014/1/6 in the quick facts is mostly likely a typo and should instead say 2015/1/06. That, or .~~ The date has been fixed.

It is important to note, though, that you don't have to worry about missing out (not much, anyway) on cosmetic gear or stat items by not running your alts through MC.

It's set up as something you'd run once to get your mount and for some throwback fun, not to compete with Draenor content.

霍格斯 is not obtainable, and was a placeholder for several of these Achievements. One day, maybe we will have a mini-Hogger, but today is not that day.

1. Yes, Max level MC means level 100.

One of WoW’s classic 40-player dungeons, Molten Core, will be available in Raid Finder during the anniversary period for level 100 players. Making it through the underground gauntlet and defeating Ragnaros will reward players with a Core Hound mount and a Warlords of Draenor Raid Finder–quality helm (100% guaranteed!). Players automatically get a Molten Corgi for logging in!
● You can complete a special level 100 version of Molten Core. Killing Ragnaros rewards a Core Hound Chain mount and special ilvl 640 fiery helm: Crown of Destruction, Crown of Desolation, Crown of Woe, Crown of Power
● You can also participate in a Deathmatch Style battleground for Tarren Mill. There are two brackets, one for 90-99 players, and one for level 100 players. Winning this battleground rewards the Tarren Mill Terror or Southshore Slayer title.

if you've been paying attentin blizzard has been experimenting to see what the player base wants. a lot of the trinkets/tier bonuses from mop have now turned into stats/talents in wod. most likely this raid is just a tester to see if people are actually intersted in playing old content at max level (whihc they have been discussing implementing into WoD for awhile.
In other words, i wouldn't worry to much about it disappearing, it will most likely return as a full fledged (all 10 bosses, upgraded gear) level 100 raid you may access from caverns of time or some such.

I got some questions, how many bosses are we going up against? All 10 or just rag? Doing it in wings I.E. Lucifron, Magmadar, and Gehennas as wing one, sorta like SoO, beat wing one then you can que for wing two. Or just a zerg rush of glory, must say zerg rush of glory sounds more fun. However, the idea of floundering about from start to finish on LFR mode just to get the chance at, say hatespark or the enchant is not a fun one. Also are we going to have LFR stuff like determination? Do we need to roll on hatespark and the enchant, a 1/39 chance to get that awesome pet would suck! Also, I know blizz said that it be LFR exclusive, but I can't help but wonder how it would turn out if there were also norm/heroic/mythic difficultys.

I have just done the raid so some of my questions were answered.

I want to update people to something very important.

It has become very clear to me, that if you do not own the new expansion, you will not get the 10th Anniversary achievement nor will you get the molten corgi.

I have a secondary account where i have not yet bought the expansion. My account with the expansion all my relevant mains and alts have the achievement and corgi...my secondary account as absolutely nothing, no matter how often one logs and out.

It is clear now, that those without the expansion are meaningless to Blizzard...and as such, with this clear revelation, will permanently end my secondary account, and may end my main account. This is an unacceptable state of affairs. That players should be devided into good / worthless accounts depending on your expansion number.

Now it may be that this is a bug, and if so its a very big bug and it's enough for players to begin realizing just how utterely worthless they are to a company, who on this expansion alone in Europe where a disgrace, and without doubt the single worst launch of any expansion we have had to date, that fact that many of us could not play for days...works in their hand not ours...and now this.

I may well be wrong, but i sincerely doubt it!

You can run the MC lvl 100 raid once per week to get the secondary loots ( enchants and pet )

Already saw a guy with the Core Hound mount in SW 11:30AM on Nov. 21st. He said it was "easy". The comments in trade have been that its buggy and mobs are very hard.

I guess we'll all see for ourselves.

Just so you're aware- you can queue as a raid for LFR Molten Core. I queued as a group of 7 last night with some guildmates. Helps offset the chaos :)

I've just run the anniversary MC raid. It was my first raid and I was pretty nervous because I didn't see myself as a raid player (don't think I'm that good). But given the fact that it's a LFR raid, we managed to do it in about 2 hours. Even though I died a couple of times due to the fact that there were a few players who wanted to run it in about 15 minutes (I guess, because they run forward without waiting on the others and pulled a lot in the beginning).

But in the end, we did it. I had a great time, I'm the proud owner of the Core Hound and on top of that... I'm definitly going to raid a lot more!

So thanks blizz, for the opportunity to explore even more of WoW than I already did/new! :)

As to the run itself: the bosses are hard, but we had the most trouble with all the adds. So if you still have to run it (or want to run it), make sure you clean the space before attacking the bosses.

The WoW Anniversary event ended a bit earlier than intended, so to make up for that lost time and any inconvenience we’re going to be re-enabling it for an additional week. The event--including the level 100 Molten Core raid--will be available again from January 6 at 10:00 a.m. PST until January 13 at 10:00 a.m. PST, for North American realms. You can see the updated event dates and times in the in-game calendar.
