I am pretty directionally challenged in BRD but I went in there and did it. I won't give tips on how to get around because I ultimately found it easier to get to each level by killing myself in the lava. LOL Maybe that's as designed.... I haven't done it properly since classic. I ran it/farmed it a ton back then. ANYWAY... this thing looks tiny on it's preview in game, however, it is the BEST chandelier I have found for the vaulted ceilings. It gets quite large and becomes a lighting that is proportional to the room. So, if you are wondering if it tis worth it- I would say yes it is. It was also fun (as I ran around in circles, lost) admiring all the cool greyscale art on the walls. :P

To reach Emperor Dagran Thaurissan, you don't have to clear the whole of Blackrock Depths (thank the gods!).
Just as you enter the dungeon, take the Abondoned Mole Machine to "just past the Grim Guzzler". From here, it's pretty linear but a few notes:
Follow the path to the Chamber of Enchantment and kill Ambassador Flamelash. Continue through the Mold Foundry into the Summoner's Tomb and speak to Doom'rel to start the Trial of the Seven fight. After this, a door into the Lyceum will open. In the Lyceum, look for Shadowforge Flame Keepers, kill them and loot Shadowforge Torch which is required to light the two large braziers in the room.
This will open the big door so you can continue to Magmus and lastly, the Emperor. GLHF!
