These "Ahead of the Curve" achievements are Blizzards solution to raiders feeling like their accomplishments were cheapened when a few patches later, players could go in and easily defeat bosses that once caused hours of frustration. The only solace raiders previously has was "Check my achievement date, I got that so far before everyone," while now these provide a small reward for those who managed to clear content when it was current. In addition with 5.4 Blizzard has decided to add a distinction between 10 and 25 man kills.

So far we have six achievements, including this one:
領先群雄：大帝之志
領先群雄：杉齊爾女皇
領先群雄：恐懼之煞
領先群雄：雷神

And in 5.4 Blizzard will continue and expand on this pattern with both 領先群雄：卡爾洛斯‧地獄吼（25人） and 領先群雄：卡爾洛斯‧地獄吼（10人）. By adding separate achievements for 10 and 25, Blizzard hopes to distinguish between the difficulties in both. In addition to adding separate achievements, Blizzard also tied a mount to earning the achievement. Please note that the ten and 25 versions of this mount are currently the same.

These achievements were added on top of the "Cutting Edge" achievements introduced at the start of the expansion that were for heroic mode kills.

And, as said above, 5.4 Blizzard will continue and expand on this pattern with both 英雄先鋒：卡爾洛斯‧地獄吼（25人） and 英雄先鋒：卡爾洛斯‧地獄吼（10人）.

These achievements are phased out over time, becoming unattainable when the new raid tier is released. Meaning that after 5.4 the FoS for Lei Shen and Ra-Den will no longer be available.

Note that the titles are not linked to these achievements so if you didn't manage to get Delver of the Vaults, The Fearless, or Storm's End you can go back and get them later!

THIS FEAT OF STRENGTH! AND MOUNT! IS NO LONGER OBTAINABLE! ive killed garrosh and NO feat of strength AND DEFO NO MOUNT! what a wind up considering the new patch only came out few days ago >:@@@

thought id confirm this for u lot that are puzzled with this.

I have spoken to a GM, and it has been made clear to me, Enable to get your mount and FEAT OF STRENGTH! then this is how you will get it 100%.

*HAS GOT TO BE DONE B4 PATCH 6.0!
*COMPLETE ALL 4/4 RAIDS IN LFR!
*KILL GARROSH IN FLEX DIFFICULTY! (need to kill garrosh in LFR 1st) (you can skip str8 to 'Downfall')
*KILL GARROSH IN NORMAL DIFFICULTY! (need to kill garrosh in FLEX 1st) (you can skip str8 to 'Downfall')

LFR>>>FLEX>>>NORMAL

After you have completed all these then you will obtain your mount and feat of strength, You best hurry if u want it!

*It is possible to obtain the 10man AND 25man mount!

This will no longer be available when the 6.0 pre-patch for WoD hits (source):

The Garrosh Hellscream “Ahead of the Curve” and “Cutting Edge” Feats of Strength will cease to be obtainable.
This means that the Reins of the Kor'kron War Wolf awarded by the “Ahead of the Curve” Feat of Strength, will also cease to be obtainable upon release of the pre-expansion Patch 6.0.

It really makes me angry that you can't get this in LFR.

I know, I know, a lot of "hardcore"/elitist players will claim that LFR is easy-mode, and that's why. But a great deal of us never have the fortunate opportunity to be able to be a part of an active raid guild to attempt this on our own. (I have similar feelings about Challenge Modes, to be honest.) Not to mention that LFR can be very challenging on its own, as my first time with a group against Garrosh resulted in 4 wipes on the boss and as many stacks of Determination before we managed to finally punch him in the throat.

My point is, it wasn't until 2 wipes in that I was informed that LFR Garrosh would not award me the mount. And I was absolutely livid.

I don't like to post things from the PTR or Beta here, however, this one may be a big deal for some since the wolf mount has been confirmed by Blizzard to be going away.

There have been alot of people that have gone ahead and purchased heroic Garrosh kills and in turn, NOT received this achievement nor the mount. Alot of those people have chosen to go out and purchase a normal garrosh kill aswell, and they are then awarded this achievement and the wolf mount.

MMO champ have just posted up notes from Warlords of Draenor Beta - Build 18850 that change the way this achievement is worded.

Ahead of the Curve: Garrosh Hellscream (25 player) Defeat Garrosh Hellscream on 25-Player Normal difficulty or higher, prior to the release of the next tier of content. Reward: Reins of the Kor'kron War Wolf. Account Wide.

As you will see "and higher" has been added to the wording of this achievement, which would leave most people to assume that if you have a heroic kill, you will more than likely get the wolf mount.
