Dps the boss down to 65% and he will run away and cast a shield on himself he does this again at 35%. After he does this adds will appear, the tank should pick them up and stand near the boss. The rest of the group should spread out around the boss and wait for the bombs to start dropping. They take a few seconds to arm and during this time they can be picked up and thrown at the boss to break his shield and give stacks of Detonate. It will also kill the small adds on the tank if he's close enough. Hit him 20 times and kill him. Achievement earned!

As of 6.0.2 it looks like this may be undo-able.... either the bombs do too much damage or the boss has too little health, either way... no matter how we tried to cheese it or all throw bombs at the same time, he still seems to always die at 17 stacks. Item level on the characters doesnt seem to effect the bomb damage at all since we tried this on geared toons as well as naked

After many fails i managed to accomplish the achievement. As it was said the bombs are doing huge damage to the boss so we tried to lower the damage as much as possible.
It was said that the damage from bombs is affected by crit from gear so 4 people in team were completly naked - just in case. What the 4 naked party members should take care about is throwing bombs anda avoid 刃突 - nothing more. Don't be ashamed to stay with 15k HP since only damage you will take is 暴風雨 which will be healed by healer quickly.
The 5th person must be a healer - personally i think discipline 牧師 is best choice (but 德魯伊 wouldn't be bad). He should take care of damaging the boss (untill 壁壘 shows up), healing team and aggroing incoming mobs by AOE ability (神聖新星 works perfectly here).
We managed to get 21 stacks of 引爆 and waited after this about 3-4 seconds not to fail by killing the boss to fast (failed cause of this twice).

After this 返還派遣者 poped up. :)

Hope these small clues will help some of you to get this achievment.

Trying to solo this at 100, I've gotten close but once he gets to 19, he's nearly dead and if I toss one more bomb, he dies before it registers the 20th stack. There was only one instance he might have had enough health, but of course, I couldn't get to a bomb in time. Sigh... I'll update if I manage to pull it off.

Did this at 100 as a hunter. The trick is to get as many bombs as possible in the first phase if you can get 11-12 bombs on him before second shield you got it. 10 or less and he wont have the health to survive I recommend 12 if you can as with 11 he had 9k hp left after bomb 20 so 1 more crit and I would have failed.

Just soloed as a ilvl 638 Hunter. Still possible in WoD. Just keep trying! You will get it!

Just helped someone with it. We did have the problem with 18-19 stacks. (Doing too much damage with bombs alone)

I checked the logs for crits and multistrikes, and the problem was multistrike. Makes sense that it wasn't crit, since crit isn't something new.
I can imagine versatility also affects the bomb, but it's not really as strong as multistrike.

I was having trouble with this achievement, mainly because the boss had a tendency to die before he even reached 20 stacks. Here's some ideas that helped me to finally get this.

Preparation:
Bring a friend. This achievement can be tricky to solo during the two critical "shield" phases without someone / something keeping the adds off you. When I finally got this, my team was composed of myself (shaman) on bombs, warlock on bombs and VW tanking adds, and a healer.

Get naked (also, remove your toon's gear). It sounds like some stats might be increasing the damage caused by the bombs, so have anyone on bomb duty disrobe. For added insurance, remove unnecessary buffs too. In our case, the healer remained fully geared but didn't touch any bombs.

Stage 1: 100% --> 75%
I've seen conflicting information on this, but for me, the first shield consistently occurred at exactly 75%. Keep an eye on DoTs, pets, and auto-attacks as his health gets near 75%... 帕伐拉克將軍's HP is precious for this achievement, be careful not to cause more hurt than is absolutely necessary.

Stage 2: Shield #1
Pa'valak will move to a central position in the field and encase himself in the yellow 壁壘 shield. Mantid adds will swarm on the ground, have your tank round these up so you don't get dazed / overwhelmed. Airborne mantids will fly over the field and drop 攻城炸藥. These bombs are clickable for a short while after they land. Grab them and lob them at the boss to add stacks of 引爆, the key to this achievement.

Space out around the boss so you aren't competing for bombs. The shield doesn't appear to have a timed element, and will disappear after it has received 720,000 damage. For me this was usually around 8-10 bombs/stacks.

Keep in mind that the bombs have a limited duration during which they can be picked up. Once they are no longer clickable, they'll explode. Just be careful if you opt not to bring a healer.

Stage 3: Shield Down --> 45%
Controlling this stage is what I think helped to secure this achievement for me. After the first shield disappears and the boss is exposed, there should still be bombs on the ground. Use these to continue adding stacks, but be aware that while the boss is vulnerable he'll receive substantial (and increasing) damage from the bombs. Pa'valak will initiate the second shield when his health reaches 45%. Try to get the boss close to this with bombs, but be careful not to overdo it.

If you find yourself without bombs to throw, keep in mind that his stacks of Detonate have a limited duration and will eventually fall off if they're not refreshed... get him to 45% (and the first bomb drop) before that happens.

Stage 4: Shield #2
Again, I've read conflicting information, but in my experience the second shield starts at 45%. Use the same strategy as in Stage 2 above.

Stage 5: Moment of Truth
The second shield will probably disappear before the boss reaches 20 stacks. I think for me it was around 16-17. Use your judgment on the final bombs. If it looks like you can safely get to 20 stacks without the boss dying, then go for it. If not, wipe and try again. (Keep in mind, if the 20th bomb causes his death, it won't count towards the achievement.)

Get to 20 stacks, kill the boss before they fall off, and celebrate never having to attempt this again.

For level 100/6.0 patch.

For a little extra speed, get out your 戈倫裝束 toy or even some 迅捷藥水.

What I also did is took off every gear piece that had critical strike and multistrike, as I noticed bombs are affected by this. Which also helps keeping the shield up longer. You need about 10+ before the last shield comes at 45%.

I did it on my hunter with Posthaste to get a speed burst. I also have engineering so I used my belt speed burst once-hoping it didn't malfunction and got all 20 bombs with like 20% health left.

Another thing, if you have enemy frames on, turn them off. I had trouble clicking on the bombs and instead clicked on the adds.

This is achievable as of patch 6.1. The boss no longer dies due to bombs at or before 17 stacks. I was able to get to 23 stacks with plenty of room for more without trouble on my first attempt.

found good trick when collecting the bombs - stand still in one place and wait for the bombs to fall near you at range yard of 20 max. don't run in circles thats the worse way - i talk from experience xD with my tactic you should be able to collect 25+ stacks even tho the achive only require 20 ;)

Easily did this as a "716" Ret Paladin.

I unequipped all gear except Calamity's Edge and Mark of Supreme Doom (for the speed bonus), as well as having both Glyph of Mass Exorcism and Pursuit of Justice.

I was able to get in 15 bombs before the first shield faded, at which point it was just a matter of time before I finished the last 5.

Be sure to keep at least 3 HP at all times (with MoSD and PoJ I was running at 152%).

To solo this at 100: shift v so the bombs have green labels. Ignore adds, they will blow up on the bombs you likely miss. Have ways to heal yourself. Good luck.

So I tried doing this and while my tracker said the criteria had been met and the boss could now be killed, I didn't get the achievement. Confused on what happened.

I could not do this achievement in BFA at 120 on my mage no matter what I tried. Even with all gear off and with rez sickness, 3-4 bombs thrown and the shield would go down. I had to log on with another character I had at level 102 (monk) and I did it no problem first try (without rez sickness and all gear equipped btw)

This achievement does not seem to be possible right now because of the damage amount from a lvl 120, even with all gear off. (8.1.5)
I've sent a ticket to ask, I will edit when I get an answer.

While it is impossible to do it on level 120 due to very high damage of bombs, the one can use Party Sync and create a party with lvl 100 character. Worked for me :)

This is now soloable at patch 9.0.1
Went in with a naked mage lvl50 , took him down to 75% with arcane explosion and he went into shield mode - i stayed in one area and waited for bombs to drop - got him to 9 stacks on the first round.
Shield breaks - got him to 26% with arcane explosion - he went into shield mode , got 19 stacks before shield broke , and got the last one after.
Bombs do not damage him anymore like they used to

Note - Shield only lasts for 1 minute each time even with zero damage done. You need to collect and land 10 bombs on him in that time. You can't take your time and simply select those that land close to you between waves of adds. The shield will drop and you'll have no more bombs.

In Dragonflight as a lv70 caster, your punch will deal about 156k of his 343k hp, but I only seem to be able to get 18 stacks at before he stops his shield, and accidentally clicking him will definitely overkill him.
Get him to 5-6 stacks, then hit him again, he should live and go into another shield phase.
You can also try to use 全身縮小符咒 to poke him down to 65% more precisely so he has more hp when you do the 2nd hit. Cancel the mouse-icon buff once he phases so you can move to the bombs quickly.

Pretty easy to solo during patch 10.0.5 as a 70 BM Hunter. These are the steps I took:

1. Get naked before hitting him. I also dismissed my pet before engaging. One punch brought him down to about 9% health for me, your mileage may vary. Squishy classes probably have more wiggle room I'd assume.
2. Don't hit him again. He immediately does Bulwark.
3. Pick up the bombs using the interact button that was added in DF! Makes this so much easier. Before I tried that, it was a nightmare trying to click through all of the adds to get a bomb.
4. You don't have long in between the bombs landing and when you can pick them up. Also, you don't have long to hit him before Bulwark expires either. You do have to be a little quick doing it. It helped me personally if I kept my camera angled at him while picking up a bomb.
5. Once he leaves his first Bulwark, he pretty much immediately does another Bulwark since he's below 35%. No need to bring him to 65% and then down to 35%.

Can be soloed in patch 10.1.0.5 Here's how I did it on a level 70 warlock:

1. Get naked
2. Engage boss and take him down to 75% (I used Drain Life for about 2-3 seconds. It's a good spell to use because you can stop as soon as he phases without fear of over-damaging)
3. Pick a spot about 10-15 yards from the boss and wait for bombs to drop nearby. If you're running toward a bomb that landed 1 second ago, you're too late. Wait for the bombs that are just about within arm's reach. Throw the bombs at him, and he'll get a stack for each one. If the adds are becoming a nuisance, feel free to take some of them out with some splash damage from the bombs as well.
4. I ended up getting 9 stacks on him before he phased again and his shell was gone. IMPORTANT: there will still be some bombs on the ground during this period, so grab as many as you can before they despawn/self destruct.
5. Eventually there will be no more bombs and he's without his shell, so take him down to 30% (again, I used drain life)
6. Same as before, keep throwing bombs until you get to 20 stacks.
7. Kill the boss in the style of your choosing.
8. Profit

Note: if you find that you've run out of bombs, he's already burned both of his shells, and he's not at 20 stacks, you can reset the fight by simply running away, back up the hill. (you can't suicide off the cliff). Once you get far enough away, he will stop chasing, despawn, and reset after about 2 minutes.

IMO the easiest way to do this. I did this with one of my low lvl chars(40lvl ele shaman). I used chain lightning to slowly drop his health until he enters each phase. Once the fight starts try to clear some ads, use ghost wolf cos you will need to be fast here and that was pretty much it. Ads at one point start to pile up so try to clear them, but focus on getting the bombs. Not difficult at all, but you will need a low level char to do this. Probably possible with a higher one, but i found this way to be much easier.
Oh! And don't forget to count the bombs! This is for those who do not have any achievement-related addons.

This one took me a minute to figure out during the WW. Would not recommend Whole Body Shrinka' because it limits mobility too much to grab any bombs during phase one.

Instead, I had a lvl80 hunter take off everything except the gun. I joined a party with a lvl18 who Party Sync'd. Then the lvl80 entered the dungeon solo and proceeded to the 3rd boss. Mainly spammed Cobra Shot to get the boss' health down to 66% and then 33%. Use Aspect of Cheetah and Disengage to get close to the areas where multiple bombs drop.

If you mess up and don't get the boss stacks to 20 before the second round of bombs is over, run back up the hill where you entered to reset the boss and try again.

Did this on a lvl 47 Fury Warrior, no Chromie Time needed during season 3 of TWW. Went naked, punched boss down after taunt pulling. When he does the shield, equip one 2-hander or 1-hander and move adds away from the shield and just whirlwind to kill them, and then click bombs as needed. Use Heroic Leap to get to the other side of the shield if any bombs are there.

I found that getting 10 stacks during his 1st shield meant you could get the last 10 comfortably during the 2nd. If he comes out of his shield and there are bombs on the floor be careful as you dont want to kill the boss before clicking the last few bombs to get him to 20 stacks - Yes the bombs will count even if hes out of his shield, as they still give him stacks.

Dont worry about taking damage, the boss cant even hit you, let alone the adds.
