correct me if im wrong but from where im sitting it seems Enchanters are going to find it easier to get this because once instances in wotlk become like the mech and kara of bc after a while it will be the enchanter who needs it to de thus giving enchanters a lot of chances on roll 100 on superior or epic quality items.

These can't be completed 'till WoTLK since the highest item level now is 175.

I recommend using "all need" system instead of "all greed" when running heroics with well geared friends/guildmates.

the criteria and text differ on this so il just ask

do you need to roll 100, or do you need to roll 100 and win?
i wouldnt be the first person in game to lose a item rolling a 100

This search should provide a list of all items that are over level 185 and are better than superior quality and can be rolled on.

With the new BoP trading system you can just grind heroics now and roll need on everything, and trade the stuff you win to the enchanter.

Just play the game like normal and you will get this achievement. Seriously what raiding or casual 5-man daily player doesn't have this at minimum after a month or so?

This achievement is very easy but you need a team of 5. i along with 2 buddies + 2 guildies where running normal 5-man instances and we were NEEDING in everything. about 2 weeks after we "formed the team" all of us got the achievment.

This can also be done nowdays (patch 3.3.3) but you MUST NOT use the LFG system since it disables the need roll based on class/role/gear dependancy.

PS: after every run every1 traded the items to me and i DEed them. at the end of those 2 weeks we made about 150gold each from all the enchants/gray items/cloth etc etc we gathered. (5x150=750 gold)

I rolled a 100 over a 346 lvl trinket on the stonecore and I did get the achievement, but another dude rolled a 100 too and he won the item... tough luck, I don't know why I got the achievement since I didn't won the item...

I am now at 335 need rolls on my main and still do not have this achievement. Most of my alts do but not my main. Go go randomizer!

The only bad thing about having BiS heroic dungeon gear and up is that I feel like an ass if I roll need on anything to farm this achieve. I guess I need to go back and just farm wrath dungeons.

The bosses in regular Utgarde Pinnacle drop ilvl 187 blues, the last boss drops 2 and they are easy for a lvl 85 to solo. All you need to do is group with one other player, they don't even have to stay online, run it and reset until you get the ach.

Since Cataclysm has been out for a while, and it's fair to assume most people have a fairly decent set of gear (or can get it easily), it shouldn't be a stretch for anyone to go back and get this solo. Find a WoTLK level 80 normal dungeon you can easily solo (or at least, comfortably) and farm away. Any boss drop from the following instances should count:

Utgarde Pinnacle
Caverns of Time: The Culling of Stratholme
The Oculus
Halls of Lightning

Of course, you can also go into any Wrath Heroic, assuming you can handle them. The ICC instances on Normal and Heroic qualify as well. I was able to solo Forge of Souls and Pit of Saron on Normal, as well as Forge of Souls on Heroic, on my modestly-geared protection Paladin. These are also pretty profitable to solo if you don't have too much trouble. I didn't try Halls of Reflection, but I don't think I could solo it. You'd still need a fair amount of DPS for the gauntlet event, something my survivability can't help that much with.

Of course, basically any Cataclysm dungeon drop, normal or heroic, will count towards this. However, if you're looking to "farm" the achievement as well as have the freedom (and lack of guilt) of rolling need on every item, you may be better off going back.

Just a side note, as someone pointed out earlier, using the LFD tool makes you ineligible to roll need on certain items. However, from what I have experienced and witnessed, if you form a full group from your server and use the LFD tool, it should allow you to bypass this restrictions. I'm not sure if this works with cross-realm invites.

Can anyone else confirm this?

This achievement doesn't count for rolling 200 (100 + 100 bonus) in LFR. GM said it is intentional for whatever reason. :(

Confirm, I have seen this happen twice so far in LFR. This makes me think its all about not getting the bonus amount added to it or this could be a bug. In any case it does allow people to have a small chance of getting it in LFR, for now.

Fun fact: You can actually earn this achievement in the Raid Finder without winning the item since the roll generator goes over 100.

PS: I want to see an achievement called "Disenchanty".

and if i run the old raids without my buddy with me inside the instance and i "need" it all the time, (and he doent roll at all bc he is away or offline), does it count toward the achievment? or is count only the if i am doing cata dungeons and raids?
there isnt much what i can still really need and i dont like to fight with other players, explaing or being ninja, so where and how can i get the achie?
playing over 20 month only with 1 character and i still didnt get it.... :/

This achievement is earned based on a luck-factor. But if your really out to get this achievement, I suggest you do the following :

Run trough Old Content instances and set the loot to "Group Loot".
Whenever a Rare+ item drops, a roll window will appear, simply press "Need" on every item untill you get your 100 roll.

Easy, but can take abit of grinding to get.

After 4 years of semi-regularly attempting to obtain this achievement, today the following appeared in my chat (Accompanied by the normal Loot Win Popup)

: You (Need - 100) Won: .

However, no achievement was granted despite meeting the criteria, I can only presume this achievement is broken in the current patch!

Does anyone have any information on if the achievement is confirmed broken or if items above a certain item level do not count?

Update: A GM has confirmed this is a bug and has been reported by many other players over the past couple months. Should be fixed in the next patch.

Haven't tried it, but this should be doable with an alt and the LFG premades tool now.

1. Have one character set up an LFG premade, put querty123 or whatever as the name, and "don't join" as the description.

2. Log off and log onto another character. Queue for the premade you just made

3. Quickly relog onto the first character, and accept your other character.

4. Now log onto the second character, and accept the queue.

5 When your first character goes offline, you will get group lead. Delist from premades, set loot to Group, and go farm all the old Heroic dungeons for blues.

I'm not sure how to get this achievement anymore, since Blizzard has phased out group-loot system.
You won't be able to do any need or greed rolls anymore, with the new personal-loot system.

How do you get this achievement in BFA? Personal loot doesn't allow for rolls.
