A "easy" way to try to get this would be to do the newly added cooking daily quests (in SW or Org) with your alts and exchange the tokens for Crate of Tasty Meat (2 tokens for one).
The crate doesn't bind, nor do the meat you could get from it.
Saving tokens on your main to get the needed recipes, you could get the FoS as soon as Cataclysm is active.
Of course you might not get all the meat needed to skill up to 525 and sometimes, you will not get skill ups since some recipes will be green/yellow.

Anyway, I think below is the best one could do to optimize the process, depending on what meat you get from the crates (oh by the way, check the AH too, some people might have realized that too and put the meat there for sale) :

From 450 to 475 :
Cook Salted Eye or Seasoned Crab depending on what meat you have the most
you need to reach 475 for the next "tier" of recipes, but cook any leftover meat as you might get a few more skill ups.

From 475 to 500 :
Cook Hearty Seafood Soup or Tender Baked Turtle
again, you need to reach 500, but you can cook the leftovers to try to get to 505

From 500 to 525 (max) :
Cook Basilisk Liverdog or Beer-Basted Crocolisk or Crocolisk Au Gratin or Grilled Dragon
Depending on what meat you have the most.

Congratulation on your Feat of Strength ! (unless someone beat you to it)

PS : considering that there is about 2 weeks until 7th December, you should be able to get at least 12 token = 4 recipes (@ 3 token per)
and since you need at least 3 recipes (one for each step), you can have only one "spare" in case you don't have enough of one type of meat at any of those steps, basically, the best would be to have only one type of meat everytime, but the RNG won't give you that, so trade meat with friends/guildies if you can or check AH.

Second path

If you have fishing, an alternative way would be to fish near Cataclysm zones (haven't checked this yet, might be hotfixed), this could prove a better way because you wouldn't be capped on the quantity of fish you can get (as long as you fish long enough).
I suggest to catch at least 40-50 for each step, check Elsanglin for more fishing info.

edit : fishing Cataclysm zones might grant a ban, not worth it, so stick to the meat.

It will be tricky to get this day 1. It seems you can only have 10 chef awards in your inventory at a time, so I don't know if you can get to 525 with just 3 recipes.

This FoS will be completely random who gets it. I already know of 4 others on my server which like me have enough mats to get there.

Is this true? Becouse i cant find anything about it on the web.

I've read that while Fish Feast will turn grey at 465 the other non- feast northern herb recipes turn grey at 475. Also anyone have any info on when Blackened Surprise (learned from cooking trainer) turns grey? I have accumulated 18 Toughened Flesh (from my various alts buying crates of tasty meat) and thought that might also be useful in helping to skill up beyond 475. Also its possible to get more than 12 Cooking Awards as the cooking daily quest 'Everthing is better with bacon' gives 2 Awards and has been given twice now since daily started.

Anyone know if you can learn 450 - 525 skill from the trainers in the old world, or do you need to go to trainers in new cata zones to get it ?

Can anyone confirm, beyond a shadow of a doubt, what NPC for the Alliance will be training the next level of Cooking? Would like to know where to park my toon to actually be able to up my skill before I start cooking the mats I've banked.

Not beyond a shadow of a doubt because I haven't seen it with my own eyes, but I would bet all of my gold that every Cooking Trainer can teach all ranks of cooking. I will be picking up cooking asap from Stephen Ryback in Old Town, Stormwind right after I grab my flight master's license. Don't let the iron chefs fool you in thinking they will teach you anything, as of now they only offer quest's and sell items.

From El's Anglin.com: "With patch 4.0.1, all fishing trainers know all ranks - there is no need to travel to Outland or Northrend to learn higher ranks."
It's safe to assume that cooking has changed in the same way that all Fishing Trainers and Flight Trainers can teach you every rank when it becomes available.

I also believe that the reason it's not currently listed under "Unavailable" at the trainers is because we have not upgraded our accounts with the Cataclysm expansion.
This is all speculation of course since I could not find any recent clear-cut statements from Blizz on the subject. Who knows, they might not allow you to train any new professions or flight skill until you have upgraded to Cataclysm and not until it's 12:01 PST (Pacific time) regardless of where you live.

I got this achievement within 5 minutes of logging in. Took hours of prep and a few thousand gold in trades.

Prep
- Lots and lots of cooking dailies for the tokens (using several toons)
- Bribing /trade with silly-high prices for the cata meats from the crates

Just after midnight
- Equip Chef's Hat
- Fish Feast - 450 to green
- Any Wrath fish + Northrend spice recipe (they're all green) up to 475
- Giant Turtle Tongue recipe - 475 to 500
- Dragon Flank recipe - 500 to 525

I got my server first and apparently the world first having achieved it at 00.04 (EU).

Materials I used were:

450-465 = Fish Feast - Materials for 40 (used 27)
465-490 = Seasoned Claw - Materials for 37 (used 33)
490-505 = Hearty Seafood Soup - Materials for 27 (used 21)
505-525 = Crocolisk Au Gratin - Materials for 64 (used 41)

The trick was to turn off all addons and set all the settings to the minimum. WoW looked awful but I loaded very fast.
I also had macros created to target Stephen Ryback (F6), Interact with Target (F7) and open cooking (F8).

Ironically learning the recipes for the next step of cooking took the longest.

IMO Blizzard shouldn't have added those crates until a while after the expansion. It seemed to have cheapened the whole RF event... even if it is just for cooking.

I got this on US-Illidan at 6 minutes into the hour.

I used only cata fish, because making fish feasts while green was slower than just buying extra fish.
I stopped each "create all" at exactly the cutoff to learn the new recipe, to speed things up, and in the end it paid off!

I also trained in Dalaran instead of Org, because I knew that the amazing amount of people there would make it unusable.
