How to to get this achievement:
- Go to Shadowfang Keep while 'Love is in the air' event is on
- Clean your way to the main yard. Mobs are lvl 21 as they've always been in that instance. Right before going through the door you'll find a goblin. Talk to him and get a package. Open it. There are 2 scents on it. Apply one of them to you.
- Go into the main yard: The 3 mobs are waiting for you there. They're lvl 82 and elite. You're gonna need a decent tank and healer. I'll recommend to be 5 in the group, although I managed to do it being just 3 (ICC gear).
- Talk to the apothecary: He'll talk back to you and then go hostile. Much of the damage they deal is Nature. The scent you applied onto you will protect you from one of the puddle types. The other will deal serious damage. Move away.
Once the 3 apothecaries are dead, you can loot an epic item and you get a card to be delivered to another goblin right outside the Orgrimmar AH.

Ok just did this. Get a normal group of 5 80s, head over to Shadowfang Keep in Silverpine Forest (Fly to Southshore then ride north).
Just inside the instance there's a goblin who gives you a quest and a bag containg three items, a summons and two neutralizer bottles. Each person in the group can pick up the quest (like the Coren Direbrew quests for Brewfest). Head though the door and you'll see Apothecary Hummel with a question mark over his head. Talk to him and he'll turn hostile, and so will his two friends, Baxter and Frye. You need to kill all three.
Watch out for the aoe patches on the floor. They are green and purple and quite hard to see. They hurt! You can use the appropriate neutralizer to protect yourself, or easier just to move out of the way. When all three are dead you'll get the Tough Love achievement. The first guy drops a ilvl226 neck per fight. He also drops a Faded Lovely Greeting Card which starts a quest. He may also drop a novelty headpiece.
Rinse and repeat x 5.

This boss is harder than the other bosses if you do it wrong, easier if you do it right. Stay out of clouds the wrong colour. I found a good strat was to start immune to perfume, nuke perfume guy down while cc'ing cologne guy (so start purple, cc green guy), then go for middle-guy, and swap to green. Then finish off.

His drops are epic ilvl 226 items, identical copies of badge gear, just like Coren Direbrew dropped:
Heartbreak Charm ->>
Evoker's Charm
.
Choker of the Pure Heart ->>
Spiked Battleguard Choker
He also drops some rare blue items (not every time):
Toxic Wasteling
(an Oozeling pet).
Forever-Lovely Rose, a head slot item that makes you hold a rose in your mouth.
And a teeny-tiny chance to drop the Pink Rocket mount, just like the coveted Direbrew Ram/Kodo or the Headless Horseman's Reins.

I really wish I had read this before I tried this achievement, solo. I assumed, wrongly, that the apothecaries would be around the same level as the rest of the mobs in Shadowfang. And once you take the quest and hand it in to activate the fight (and then die horribly), you can't do it again for another 24 hours. So read this first and save yourself the trouble of looking like a moron.

Three man'd this quest. paladin tank - hunter dps - priest healer. ICC 10/25 geared. Yes, it was very healing intense.
Please note: The info below is gathered from three successful kills. The amount of damage is approximate values.
Fry:
- No aggro table.
- Throws both green and purple goo on the ground. They are hazy and hard to see. These perfume circles hit for 1500-2500 per tick. Kill him first (less circles on the ground).
Baxter (cologne):
- 1600-2300 Nature Aura
- 2000-3000 Damage Spray (Channeled)
Hummel (perfume):
- 1600-2300 Nature Aura
- 2000-3000 Damage Spray (Channeled)
Chain reaction - they create a table and give more damage: 6000 fire damage
Crazed Apothecary (Adds):
- Hit for 100-400 physical damage.
- When the explode they hit for 2000-3000 nature damage.
Over the course of 3 fights Baxter did almost 1 million damage to our tank.
Note to hunters: It is inefficient to use your pet because they will inevitably die.
I hope this helps!

It is a daily for the Love is in the Air Event, like Coren Direbrew. The fight is in
ShadowFang Keep
in SilverPine Forest. There are three level 82s to kill, each 270k HP, so you need a tank and a healer. You do not need to do the pre-quest in SW, but will get an extra 3G if you do.
For those who haven't done SfK before, you need to:
As you go in, turn right, kill the L20 mobs
Up the stairs, across and down to the cells on the left
Release the mage who will open the door to the yard
Talk to the goblin next to the door to the yard
Take the kit and unpack it - 2 neutralising potions and a summons scroll
Put on perfume (purple buff)
One person speaks to Hummel to start - they will turn hostile
Stay out of the stuff on the ground
cc Baxter (green?) and nuke Hummel (purple). Frye runs around and is untankable
Stay out of the stuff on the ground
Kill bosses, rinse and repeat for each member of the party.
If you wipe you will lose a try, so STAY OUT OF THE STUFF ON THE GROUND
If you die, do not run back in, as one of the bosses will run out to attack you, resetting and losing your try
He has a chance to drop another quest which should be handed back in at the Inspector in Stormwind.
Hints
: if you have an idiot on a large mount blocking the quest giver, as well as reporting him for griefing, (red ? on your toolbar, and Talk to GM or Report a Problem; if he has funny characters in his name, right click and whisper him then /S and Shift-click to copy his name.) try:

I uploaded a screenshot of kill order, but I'll revise it here for those having trouble with this fight.
If you plan to use this kill rotation, you need to make sure you put on your Cologne Neutralizer before you start, make sure everybody else in the group does this as well, as Hummel uses Perfume to do raid AOE damage. Neutralizer helps with this damage. Baxter uses Cologne, so to prevent hard-group damage, you need to keep him out of the way until Hummel is down. When Hummel goes down, switch to your Perfume Neutralizer ready for Baxter.
First up, you need to kill the Hummel guy ASAP (the guy you hand the quest in to). Mark him as Skull, designate a full nuke to the Skull. Watch out for the pesky little adds, although they don't do much damage. Keep aggro on him, make sure the group nukes him first and quick.
Baxter comes into play next a little way into the fight - so unless your DPS is insane, he will join while you are fighting Hummel (he's the guy on the left of Hummel). You need to be able to keep Baxter feared or decently CC'ed. I'm not sure what works so additional comments appreciated on this, but we had a lock who kept him on fear, and this worked really well to minimize AOE damage from his cologne debuff and keep him away from tank/group. Make sure to mark him as Star or something, designate a no-dps policy on the Star until the other 2 bosses are down.
Finally Frye comes into play last. He has no aggro table, so don't even try to justify tanking him. That's why we take him down second, but if you are having trouble with this, or having trouble managing your crowd controls, you can change it to suit you. It's easier to function if you take down Hummel first, so it saves 3 bosses running around. This guy is immune to fear, so you can't really CC him. Just try and stun him when you can, really, and make sure dps switch to target him after Skull dies, this one wants to be Cross, designate a 'dps him down second' policy. He just runs around throwing bottles on the floor with little 'poison green gas' clouds, so don't stand in them if you can help it. A good healer helps here.
Once Frye is down, ensure the whole group changes their fragrance neutralizer and then take down Baxter last.
Enjoy your loot, and good luck!

A key point to remember is that you have to remove your immunity buff before applying it again.
Best way that works in my experience is to have everyone against the wall except for the tank when starting the boss, this way the boss faces away from everyone, and the tank can just kite backwards to second and third spawn.
As long as the tank keeps kiting, everyone should be ok as long as they have one or the other immunity applied. If you are ranged or a healer, your best bet is to find a puddle matching your immunity, then run and stand in it, since none of the puddles ever seem to overlap.
The adds that come are a nuisance at best, they are nothing to worry about outside of the 3 main bosses.
Other than that just dps your wittle heart out.

As a prot pally I find tanking for this is pretty easy if you tank them near the ramp off to the right of the stables. Consecration does a good job killing the adds that spawn, so right away you have that many less adds to deal with. Tank the bosses facing away from group (pointed toward the ramp).
As soon as they become attackable, taunt the first one over to you and have dps focus him down. When the second one becomes attackable, taunt him and tank him the same way.
The third one is a bit more tricky. He has an aggro wipe so he can't be traditionally tanked. He can however be taunted so this will give the rest of the group some breathing time. As soon as he drops aggro on me I HoJ him for additional control. Once HoJ drops off I taunt him again. If you have a rogue or something, he can keep him stunlocked. I don't know if he can be feared or polyed though, so it's worth a shot trying. Once you get the feel for it, it's easy.
Make sure your group doesn't spread out too much either. It can get hectic for the healer, as well as killing adds (granted they only have 500hp). Just use common sense and don't stand in the perfume/cologne clouds that appear on the ground.

It's easy. The fight starts as soon as you talk to Hummel. Baxter and Frye will run to the sides and will throw poison flasks that create puddles on the floor, avoid them. Right before you engage Hummel, use you Perfume Neutralizer, which will make you immune to his poison aura and his AoE. When he dies, Baxter will engage and you'll have to switch to Cologne Neutralizer. Besides that, he's the same as Hummel. Lastly, Frye will engage running around, dropping aggro and throwing poison flasks. Make sure the tank is ready to pick up aggro at all times!
Adds will be coming all the time, but they have 500 hp or so, so any form of AoE will kill them quick.
It's a fun encounter and quite easy if you remember to run out of puddles and use your neutralizers. Each apothecary has around 270k, so they should die fast.
Loot is on Hummel's body, although he will rez at the end of the fight. Don't worry though, you'll still have his dead body to loot. He drops a card that starts a quest too, so make sure to loot that too!

The best way to deal with this is an off tank to pull Baxter away from the rest of the group. Then he won't be spraying green goop on the tank and other dps while they deal with Hummel.
Once Hummel is down the rest can switch to Baxter.
Perfume/Cologne - Everyone dealing with Hummel should wear the purple perfume and stay away from anything green. With Hummel down, the rest of the party must switch to the green cologne.
The Baxter Off tank should wear green cologne and stay away from purple.
Watch out. Sometimes the poison splashes overlap and hide one another.
Frye is the easiest, he just runs around a lot. It doesn't matter which cologne/perfume debuff you wear for him. He throws out both. Just avoid the one color you aren't wearing.

2maned this event today with a Prot Pally (me) and a Disc Priest. Both ToC25 geared with a little ICC badge stuff. For some reason both Hummel and Baxter engaged me so I kited them around to stay out of the AoEs and the priest ran around behind them, healed me and AoEed some of the adds down. It was really annoying and would have been easier for us to just be normal and take 3 or more but it was still fun.

Hunter tips.
Dismiss your pet as it will die, even if you tell it to stay away from the fight.
Stand on top of the fountain, gives a good view and you won't stand stand in the "wrong" patch.
We used the "kill purple guy first" tactic. The green guy can be trapped (not tried the others) so I used a freezing arrow which kept him out of the action. With a good group he will still be frozen by the time you have killed the purple guy.

When my wife and I first tried this boss, we wiped three times (had full party) and gave up, not wanting to waste anyone else's summons. I had read all of the comments on here and couldn't really make enough sense of it. On my screen, I couldn't really see any colored puddles, like above posters mentioned.
The next day we went back with a different strategy and won.
Some have mentioned having two tanks - this is pretty vital. There's not much need for the "tanks" to be plate-wearers or bears though, since they will be immune to most of the damage done by the mob they are tanking. One poster above recommended the wrong perfume cologne assignments for the bosses. Just make sure that each tank's "aura" is the same color as the mob that they are tanking. It is also important to have the tanks keep their targets pointed away from the rest of the party, so tank them against the walls they run to before the battle starts.
Even though your tanks are immune to the poison from their targets, they will inevitably still take a hefty chunk of nature damage from the exploding apothecaries that run around, so your healer needs to be on their toes. If you have a good multi-tasking dps, they may be able to mediate some of the damage from the apothecaries by taking them out before they explode.
The only other source of damage your tanks will have to worry about is the vials of poison thrown by Frye that end up covering the ground. If everyone uses a mostly top-down view and have their particle density (in video settings) set to max, it should be *easier* to spot the "puddles" everyone keeps mentioning. All your party will need to do then is try to make sure that they are only standing in gunk the same color that they are. This can prove difficult, because, as one poster above mentioned, the puddles may sometimes overlap, and only the "top" puddle's color will be visible, even though they are both capable of doing damage. Try to keep an eye on your health, and if it starts dropping steadily, move out of all puddles for a moment just in case.
In fact, considering how common it is for puddles to overlap, you may simply want to stay out of *all* puddles, that way you don't have to watch your health too much.
Even taking all of this into account, things may still get out of hand from stacking up nature damage.
Knowing this, I brought five
Lesser Flask of Resistance
and
Broiled Bloodfin
, one for each party member. Since over 90% of the damage dealt is nature damage, nature resistance *really* helps, in any way that you can get it. If you have a druid with you, make sure that everyone gets the
Mark
(or
Gift
) of the Wild buff for this reason. If you have no druid, try to have someone's friend buff you all before you go. The 112 total resistance this setup will give you will drop the damage from this fight by ~20%. It's not necessary, but a very, very good idea, and not that expensive for helping ensure victory.
Mighty Nature Protection Potions
are the potion of choice for this fight, because while they don't heal your health or mana, they will make you effectively immune for a few attacks, giving your healer plenty of time to get to you if your health is dangerously low. I brought 10 for my party, and split them up when we got there. I had 3 on me when we finished.
If you *really* want to improve your chances for the fight, any gear up on the AH that is 70+ of Nature Protection will probably be more useful in this fight than your standard epics and rares. Just remember that your resistance won't be effective above 410 for this fight (since the enemies are lvl 82, and 82*5 = 410), although it's unlikely that you will cap it. A resistance this high will drop your damage by an average of about 75%, so it would make healing a cinch for this fight if you went crazy enough on gear and buffs to reach it.
*Edit* What I didn't notice at first, is that the Chain Reaction attacks done by Hummel and Baxter (when they pull out the tables) are *not* nature damage. They are fire damage. The Lesser Flask of Resistance and Bloodfin and Mark still apply to knocking this damage down, but purchasing Nature Protection gear is probably not as good an idea. */Edit*
Since
Hummel
is hittable first in the fight, you should probably take him out first. He and
Baxter
are identical though, so the reason to focus on him isn't because he's the biggest threat, but simply the easiest to kill quickly. While my group always took Baxter out second, it probably makes more sense to take
Frye
out second - or even as soon as he becomes available to take damage. Without Frye in the picture, your group will really only have to worry about the exploding apothecaries (and the occasional AOE from Hummel or Baxter) so it's probably smarter to take him out first. It will hopefully be unnecessary though if you have enough resistance.
A note to healers from my party's healer for the fight - be ready with your AoE heals. This fight will occasionally tax them, and the damage will seem to come from nowhere.
That's all I can think of - I hope everyone who reads this is successful getting their Tough Love achievement! And good luck getting the pet or mount to drop =)
(Obviously there is some overlap with this and other posts - thank you for the help your posts gave me in getting my achievement!)

Winking Eye of Love

Well, most has been already said, let me just get summary for 4.06 patch:
1. You don't need to do any quests, just queue using dungeon finder for "The crown chemical co." (its a separate category, not in the normal/heroic list)
2. Once in the group you will be teleported to courtyard of SFK with 3 apothecaries in the middle. Please notice that one of them has purple aura, another yellow one, third one has no aura.
3. From the table to the left grab either
Perfume neutralizer
or
cologne neutralizer
- it makes you immune to one of two "colors" - I usually go for the cologne one.
4. Talk to the purple apothecary to start the fight: Purple and yellow guys will be spitting perfume/cologne in the cone, one without aura will be running around dropping puddles of random color. You will be immune to one of the colors thans to neutralizer.
5. If you used cologne neutralizer, go first for the guy with purple aura and burn it fast. It will hurt a bit, so stay clear from hist purple spit (tank back to the group) and purple puddles dropped randomly by the guy without aura. It can be done even with tank with pre-heroic gear.
6. Once first guy is down, rest is easy: you are immune to yellow attacks and puddles are easy to avoid.

I just wanted to say that your hunter pet, depending on your level and the pet's, doesn't have to die for this achievement. I am already lvl 85. My spec is BM. My pet is lvl 85/ferocity, and he did fine when it was over without substantial loss of the pet's health. Just make sure to turn off the growl, just in case.
The first time, I did the dungeon without the pet because of the earlier comments on here, but I tried anyway with the pet for the next three runs. And the pet did fine. With a good group, you might not even bother to mend the pet. Not even referring to the healer healing the pet at all.
However, the group didn't always hear that I mentioned that I was going to freeze Baxter while they were to take care of Hummel. They still attacked him anyway. Anyway, it went well so far. I am still looking for a certain drop for my alt.

There is a way around this to get the achievement for toons below the minimum level to be able to queue up for this fight. Been doing this since they first implemented the queue system.
You have to be high enough to enter the dungeon for it to work. Here's how:
Enter the dungeon with a friend. I dual box so I can do it that way. One of the the players will be leaving group at the beginning, before the pull. When you get in, don't start the fight. Make sure the toon that is going to remain in the group, is the group leader. Also, this is VERY IMPORTANT! The toon that is leaving group cannot be an important role such as tank or healer. You MUST queue as DPS because the fight can easily be handled w/ one less person. It's VERY likely your alt will die instantly, but you'll get the achievement.
Once in, leave the group, log on to your lvl 51 or whatever alt. Have the group leader (either your friend or your other account), get manually invited. Then the green dungeon "search eye" icon will appear, click it to port in. And you can kill the boss.
Note, you do NOT get the daily keg for the mounts or JP. You DO get credit for the kill, for the achievement, can roll on gear, AND the quest starting keg. I've done this for EACH holiday boss:
Love is in the Air boss is in NORMAL SFK, not heroic. If you go anywhere else in SFK, towards the end, the trash are all low level. Wowhead says lvl 11 can enter there. Average lvl is 16, at least by LFG's terms.
Midsummer, same deal. I think lvl 62 is the lowest to enter Slave Pens. Maybe more around 64.
Brewfest, low 50s to be able to enter.
Hallow's End, low 30s to enter SM Graveyard.
Remember, if you do it this way, just make sure the leader is someone who can manually invite you. Your toon who you queued up with, to reserve a spot, isn't an important role such as tank or healer. Also, if there is someone farming an item that they need, be kind and pass on it, even if you can use it....eventually. You are making them pick up the slack for your low level toon.
