Each faction may also visit the opposing factions capital cities, and extinguish the flames there, for 25 Blossoms per flame.

At 25 Blossoms each, Alliance gets 100 Blossoms, Horde gets 100 Blossoms.

Total, Alliance gets 680 Blossoms, Horde gets 690 Blossoms.

It costs 400 Blossoms to buy the entire outfit needed for Burning Hot Pole Dance, the pet is 350, and the braziar is 350.

Alliance will need an extra 420 Blossoms, Horde will need an extra 410 Blossoms to buy everything, which you will have to get from the daily quests.

There are two dailies that offer Blossoms, 5 each for More Torch Catching ( A / H ) and More Torch Tossing ( A / H ).

There is also the daily to kill Lord Ahune, but it does not offer any Blossoms.

After dancing you can sell your set to get the Burning Blossoms back, so you can buy other stuff. I couldn't sell all my stuff, just the shoulders.

Yeah all players seem to have the same problem. I believe its easier for them to just remove this achievement from the "Flame Warden" requirements and just get on with it. Since you have to run all around the map for the desecration / honor in order to get the other achievements done, I dont see why we should be forced to buy the set and spin around like idiots for 1 minute, just to spend 400 blossoms. Plus if someone wants to buy the brazier or / and pet, the cost is 700 blossoms, which means dailies plus all the desecration/honor u can get.

If you done all "one time only" quests last year,
you can only get 10 from daily for 14 days = 140

+120 from the new fires in northrend

Still not 400

Is it posible to get it this year, or do i have to buy the 200 part now, a 100 part next year, and last part the year after?

Note that upon completion of this achievement you can sell the shoulder piece back for 100 Burning Blossoms refund (within next 2 hours). You can't do that with the chest piece nor the boots though.

The fires and some of the other quests are bugged this year. If you did them last year, they won't let you do 'em again.

Blizz is aware and working on it.

All the quest from the fire are repetable so you can go to same fire every day and do the same quest they mark not as daily and give the reword 5 bolsoms ans gold so easy can take all items in 10 days! also you have miniest 8k gold i thing is bug so run now before fix it :):):)

And ofc the quest count for the 3000 guest all time you do the quest

I believe the issue regarding bonfires may have been fixed? I have just desecrated a bonfire in Nagrand that I desecrated yesterday. This is strange as I assumed a hotfix would be given during the weekly maintenance. Anyone else found this?

I'm not complaining, it's extra money and blossoms :-)

EDIT: In addition to the reset of the bonfires, the capital city's flame quests have also been reset, including Exodar/ Silvermoon which hadn't reset in the first place anyway.

For those of you that werent able to do the bonfires because you did them last year, they will be reset with todays maintenance/restarts. That being done on my server already I can confirm that yes, they have been reset. Happy pole dancing! :)

Edit: Looking at my quest counter for the 3000 quests completed achievement it seems that I have lost quite a few. It looks like they have completely reset them as if you had never done them before. So for anyone that is working on the quests completed achievements it looks like we have to go do all of them all over again. Which is fine with me, some of the easiest gold in game I have ever seen.

I just wanted to put emphasis on the fact that ONLY the shoulders can be sold back, no matter what order you purchase the items. So just make sure you where not making your purchase calculations (like I had initially done) on a 200 blossom reimbursement for the sandals.

It seems as if you can only re-sell the shoulders and get 100 blossoms back. Further to this though, in the last few days it looks like all the honoured flames around the world are now available again. I did all of Eastern Kingdoms and most of Kalimdor on Sunday, and all the quests are available again, so presumably Blizz have reset them all, enabling everyone to do it all again if you fancy the extra money and extra blossoms.

Performing the "pole dance" (regardless of whether or not you are wearing the reward item set for the achievement) grants you a buff called Ribbon Dance that grants a +10% XP for killing monsters buff. The duration of the buff is dependent upon how long you spin, maxing out at 1 hour (about a minute of spinning). It does not appear that the buff itself has a wowhead page for separate comments, so I'm posting this here.

I am curious if anyone knows if this buff stacks with other XP increases, like rested XP and heirloom items (i.e. Strengthened Stockade Pauldrons). I would assume the effect is cumulative, but I can't seem to find a way to tell for sure.

It's only strange you can only soulbound shoulders sell back within 2 hours after selling to supplier npc, for same 100 blossoms price.
Two another items, Vestment of Summer and Sandals of Summer, are also soulbound, but you cannot sell it back.
Very strange logic! (only because 'use: function' inside both items)

With full exploring all zones and dialy throwings, you can complete the stupid dancing archievement and sell shoulderd back, you have enough to buy brazier the dancing flames or pet :)

You can also use a dancepole near a fire of the opposite faction for this.

So, you'll be all like: "lol Im in ur camp dancing around ur pole"

I finished this achievement already, and bought the set sepparatly. DON'T DO THIS!

First thing U gotta do is get 400 tokens, then buy the set all at once, then finish the achievement, then U get to sell all items back for a full refund!

Then U regain the tokens to buy other stuff!

Warning: It seems you're no longer able to return the items to the vendor for a refund after purchasing them. Can anyone else confirm?

I bought all 3 items of the set in the hopes I could grab the pole achievement and then return them and pick up the pet, but the vendor isn't interested in the items any more.

When i did this achiev for some reason the music "You spin me right round" was in my head.
Just open that on background and watch your char using ribbon.

Just for the record, you can't sell the Shoulders back anymore.
So you can't sell anything back now, which means you have to do at least 2 years to buy everything :)

As of cata it seems this buff can last for ever aslong as you do not die. You simply go to a ribbon pole /dance and spam right click on it about 20 times in a few seconds and run away. You will continue to spin and gain the buff. Very helpful if you are leveling or just for show. You can mount aswell as cast while having the buff. I'll be submitting a screen shot of the effect it has when mounted with a weapon out. For males (most of the races it seems) It looks like you are jousting, for others such as female blood elfs, its to the side.

Pay attention: If the durability of your 3(Chest,Sholders,Sandals) gear parts are at 0 then you'll have to repair the gear first, then dance on the Ribbon Pole to get the achiev. Good luck :D

As others have said, you only need 火焰節慶披肩, 夏日法衣, and 夏日便鞋. Other pieces, including the 火焰節慶之冠, are not necessary.

If you are a priest and you want to finish the set, I'd go with the above items plus:

蒼蠅出沒,

烈焰淨化裹手,

and 橘色軍用襯衣.

If you're not a priest you can still get the cloak since it's a JP legacy item. Other classes will likely have similar colors on their JP gauntlets as well, since they're all from Firelands.

NOTE: The Fire Festival Set is "Unique", so you can not transmogrify those three pieces.

Now this year I see a hat at the vendor for 350. Is this hat now required for the completed midsummer set? If so it's gonna throw me off because I bought the pet.

So for people who still cannot figure this out. Go to any of the flames outside of a capitol city. Put on your Midsummer gear and then click on the pole. There is a pole at all the flame sites away from capitol cities. Does not matter which faction pole you use. 60 secs pass and BOOM! you have a new achieve! Grats!

You can buy the tree items, do the dance and instantly sell all three items back to the vendor and you gain all your flowers back for buying toys or stuff.

it seems you aren't able to get this achivement if you have the "WHEEEE!" Buff from Darkmoon Faire. So make sure to click that buff off before you dance.

You have to be wearing the 夏日法衣, the 火焰節慶披肩, and the 夏日便鞋, net cost, 400 燃燒之花. Subject to change, but as of this posting, ~~none of these three items transmogs, and~~ all three are refundable (for two hours, posted below). You can dance at the dancing pole near the vendor and have this done within two minutes, then return the three pieces for a full refund, and spend it on one of the other items you want.

You can, of course, optionally keep the items. They are permanent and do not disappear after the event ends. You might want to keep the sets if you like to role play. There is a use cosmetic buff on two of the items, applying fire to your hands and feet.

If you can't afford 400 燃燒之花, you can approach this incrementally; you can buy the pieces you can afford and hold them for next year. If event is running out, use up your blossoms. The vendors and blossoms disappear when the event ends.

Edited June 26, 2017: Recent change; all three of the apparel items are now Cosmetic, and can now be transmogged. I can confirm that they show up in the Appearances collection. You need to keep one of each of these and not refund them if you want the transmog appearances, but you only need one of each, and you can still get a refund on your other toons.

Buy the 3 Midsummer Reveler items at the vendor, equip it , select the pole and type /dance in your chat window. Wait 60 seconds and you are done! You can return the items within 2 hours for a full refund of your Burning Blossom to buy other items.

The buff from the pole called Ribbon Dance does not stack with WHEE! from the Darkmoon Faire carousel. The DMF buff is better, though, as it gives a 10% boost to reputation, in addition to the 10% experience buff.

I would have put this comment on the page for the buff, but it seems that Wowhead defaults to this page when searching for the buff name.

As of 2019 - You can now purchase all four required pieces of the Midsummer Set from Midsummer Merchant or Midsummer Supplier for Achievement Burning Hot Pole Dance and refund your Burning Blossom currency once your Achievement is complete.

As one of the comments below says, as of 2021 you only need to equip 4 of the items: shoulders, shoes, and vestments. Start using the pole and you will get the achievement. at least you dont have to purchase the helm which is the most expensive part (350 blossoms).

Items are no longer refundable after you equip them.

The set is un-xmog-able, meaning if you're short of what you need to buy the whole set after doing all the quests and spending what you have on other stuff, then you're going to either need to do dailies or get it on another toon. If you're a completionist, you're going to have to run more than one toon through the quests to collect everything anyway.

If you are purchasing the items for this achievement for the first time in 2022 (or thereafter unless otherwise changed), and have yet to learn the appearance, make sure not to right click the items from your bags as you typically do to equip items. If you do, they will be consumed upon use, and you will have to purchase another set of these items to equip for the achievement.

It seems that if you left click the item from your bag to pick it up and place it on the corresponding character slot on your Character Info pane, you can equip the item without consuming it to wear while dancing around the pole. However, it will not learn the appearance until you consume it, which you can do once you're done. I can't verify first-hand that this method works for the achievement, as I got it last year, but I realized the new transmog item behaviors may trip some people up and I hope it prevents any issues with achieving this.

It also looks like transmogging the items does not work for the achievement at this time, either.

2023 Update: Right clicking does not make them an appearance and disappear. When you purchase them the appearance is added to your collection. Equipping them makes them non-refundable.
