Fun fight. Think of Sarth + Tenebron + Lots of whelps.

You won't be going into the portal, you should be burning tenebron down ASAP to stop him spawning more whelps. The damage done by them is negligible at first, but they stack an armor reducing debuff where it reduces armor by 1500 per cast. More whelps = Less armor = More damage.

Tenebron also has a frontal cone ability, so the OT will have to face him away from the raid while keeping aggro on the whelps. This is a very healing intensive fight.

Lava walls and elementals occur as usual in the fight. Once Tenebron and the whelps are destroyed, just continue like you would be fighting Sarth without a drake.

Paladin/Warriors are best suited for tanking Tenebron due to their superior AoE abilities. Druids are very capable of tanking Tenebron, but if the armor debuff gets too great, they will die fast.

Expect learning wipes.

we did this with 3 tanks / 2 healers.

tank on sarth, tank on tenebron, and pally tank on the whelps. the pally stands on the portal and consecrates, while the dps burns the drake asap. after the drake is dead, aoe the whelps and it's easy from there on.

It was a really easy fight, Pally tank picked up adds as well as the Drake. We lusted as soon as the Drake came down and burned the drake in a matter of 45 seconds or so.

After that it is just a normal Sarth fight. If you burn CDs on the Drake it makes it very easy to get him down without too much stress, then you can move to Sarth and take him down, it might take a bit with no CD's up, but its still not that hard. Around 30% on Sarth we lusted a second time and took him down.

Two DPS and a healer Died to flame walls, the healer right before we took down right before we got the Drake down, but it was still a very easy fight that can be two tanked without much issue if you have a Pally tank to keep adds under control.

Overall, a decently geared group should have no issue with 1D Sarth, as long as they know what they are doing.

I don't know if anyone else is confused but when do the drakes come ? And I see videos on Youtube ; they're killing one drake and getting the achievement "Twilight Assist' shouldn't we keep him alive?

Here are my other questions, hope someone will help :

When u engage Sartharion, do all three drakes come or do you choose if one,two,three or none will come?
Can you choose which dragon to pull (if they don't come all together)?
When does a drake come if we want the achievement?(What time of the boss)
And I'm still confused of people killing 1,2 or 3 drakes and still getting the achievement while it clearly states that they have to be alive.

Hope that those weren't any stupid questions and that I'm not the only one confused.

Thanks in advance for anyone who will explain the tacs.

Just did this today for the first time. We left Tenebron up. We were able to one-shot him.

Group Composition:
2 Prot Warriors
1 Resto Shaman
1 Resto Druid
1 Disc Priest
1 Surv Hunter
1 Arcane Mage
1 Afflic Lock
1 Prot Pally
1 Shadow Priest

A Few Tips

Sartharion should be tanked in the left hand corner closest to the instance portal.
Tenebron should never be facing the raid.
Have your OT (Prot Paladin in our case) pick up the whelps/adds.
Turn and kill the adds every 1-2 Lava waves.
Bloodlust should be used when Tenebron is active.
Make sure to avoid lava walls, extra damage is not needed during this ecounter.

just did it with 2 tanks dk tank and prot warrior . me dk was tanking Tenebron whelps and elementals kinda was hard, unfortuntly didnt ve rog 4 md

Did this tonight for the first time with my guild, took one wipe to get the fight down.

We used;

Protection Paladin - Sarth & Tenebron
Death Knight tank - Adds

Elemental Shaman (me)
Warlock
Rogue
Death Knight
Hunter
Boomkin

Restoration Druid - OT and raid
Disc Priest - MT

Wasn't that hard at all.

We had the Protection Paladin sit in the back, horizontally with Sartharion, the resto shaman was healing him.
The Frost DK was tanking both Tenebron and all the adds, and we had the Resto Druid healing him.
Tenebron was situated closer to the middle of the playing field; the rest of the ranged & dps were in front, closest to the portal in which you enter.
We had excellent AoE to take down the whelps spawned by Tenebron, Tenebron went down next and then we just had good old 0 drake Sartharion to deal with.

Just the strategy we approached, it worked very well but if this really isn't helpful go ahead and down-rank.

Did this with a pug group. After some wipes with the usual tactic we chanced to 1 healer, 1 tank and rest dps. With all our fokus on Sartharion and ignoring the add dragon, we made it with 1 surviving dps (Sartharion was at 17-20% when Vesperon joined the fight.) we made it, but im not sure this will work with 2 dragons up. >-<

Did this in a total pug earlier.

Tanks - Prot Warrior (me), Prot Paladin
Healers - Holy Paladin, Resto Shaman, Resto Druid
DPS - Fury Warrior, Frost DK, Unholy DK, Destro Lock, Combat Rogue

I was on Sarth from the start in the left corner closest to the portal, just had the Rogue Tricks of the Trade on me to get an early threat lead and when Tenebron popped the Protadin picked him up on the opposite side of the island. Everyone dps'ed him down, AoE'ed the adds and moved onto Sartharion for the kill. We had one of the DK's take care of loose fire elementals if there were any.

Got him on our first try, even with half the raid getting hit by Flame Waves :3

My guild just did this last night, though I think we did it the easy way. We left Vesperon up (the easiest of the 3 drakes, the one on the left of the instance) who comes down 2 minutes after the fight starts with Sarth. However, we killed Sarth right as Vesperon came down, basically just focused as much DPS on him as possible during that time and wound up taking him down. We got the achievement and Vesperon just disappeared, didn't even have to fight him. Still got the extra loot, so if you've got a halfway decent group (run a normal OS with no drakes left up and see how long it takes you to burn down Sarth) and you can take out Sarth in 2 minutes or less, you can at least get this achievement. 2 or 3 drakes up is a completely different story, more complex, but this one can pretty much be cake.
