Edit: These are the two options I had posted before, but Beefor says below he did not get the achievement for the second option. I have since done the heroic version which is easier with more healers to keep spamming on the tank while she frenzies.

1) Kill her before or while she frenzies. Tough right now until you have exceptional DPS. You may also need two warriors to use both their shield walls.

2) Kill an add right before she enrages every time instead of when she enrages. This way she never gets the enrage buff to be dispelled. However, it only prevents the next enrage from happening in 30 seconds and you would still have a decent DPS race, though not nearly as tough as in the first scenario.

I would assume the second option is viable since she never gains frenzy to be dispelled anyway, though I'm not entirely sure how Blizzard views it.

The 10 man group I lead just tried for this. We nuked down the Worshippers first before she got to her enrage, so there was no dispelling. We didn't get the achievement, however.

Bearing in mind that the Widow's Embrace dispel has a limited range, I imagine that you have to burn down the adds far from the boss and then go to town on her. I guess the 'real' criteria for the achievement is for Grand Widow to die without ever having been afflicted by the Widow's Embrace debuff.

Will test again at some point to find out.

Simply just kill the adds out of her range first and then nuke her down and you're achievement is home!

The first time we ever did the boss we killed her this way, but didn't get the achievement, cuz we killed one after she enraged. When we actually tried to get this achievement we simply killed all the adds ASAP, and then just DPS'd her down, while the healers kept big heals up on our druid tank :)

Not very hard with a good tank and healers, just kite adds 20-30 yards away from her and nuke them, then zerg the boss.

Easy achievement, had one tank all four adds and the other one tank the boss, got her to 30% before the first enrage and just burned her.

In order to complete this you have to kill the worshipers AFTER Faerlina is dead. She must not be affected by the Widow's Embrace buff at all.

Really easy achievement with a bear tank as they can mitigate the most damage.

I got this achievement by being the only priest in the group and then getting disconnected at the beginning of the fight.

Why bother killing the add's first?

They don't hit for much so the offtank doesn't need much healing, so why waste time killing them before going for the boss.

Just got this tonight in 10man. Was quite easy with decently geared tank and healers.

When we were attempting 10ppl naxx 1rst time we killed the adds so OT can speed up dps on her, i as Unholy DK was MTing. And i have died twice ;] BUT i had heroic/emblems/normals/rep gear, nothing from naxx, and she failed to kill me untill her reaching ~20%.
So yes, it's doable without even naxx 10 gear, but you have to chain all your cooldowns at all times ...and bring good healers ;]

We got this achievement last evening in the easiest possible way. I tanked the ads, and really tried not to kill them, while the bear tanked her at about 40 yards from me. At one point, a worshiper died (damn cleave hitting 3 targets :P) while Faerlina was in Frenzy. The DBM addon said that Faerlina is affected by Widow's Embrace, but in fact she wasn't, because she was out of range. Another worshiper died soon, and when Faerlina finally fell, the remaining ads were with 3k respectively 1k hp left. A lot of my group got the achievement, I already had it. This was done on the 10 man version.

To complete this achievement you cannot let a Worshiper apply Widow's Embrace to Faerlina, even before she frenzies, meaning the Worshipers have to be killed more than 15 yards away from her (15 yards is the range of Widow's Embrace).

From the way it is worded currently, you would think you can kill the Worshipers anywhere, even on top of Faerlina while you have one tank with every mob on him.

I just finished this tonight, we were really overgeared of course but it didn't seem too tough. I was the MT (warrior, almost all epics 5/5 t7.10, 28k health unbuffed, 33k buffed, and around 40% avoidance (not counting block)). Our healers were epic'd out too and our dps was pulling 2k min, 3k max. Anyways, I just tanked her away from the platform while the pally tank took care of adds. The fight lasted over 3 mins so it was a lil tough towards the end. She hits for just about 15k on me and there were times when i'd jump from max health to 9k health in a second, only to be maxxed out again a moment later. The healers were chaincasting nonstop. The keys to this that I noticed as a tank were:

1. Keep TC and Demo shout on her at all times (duh).

2. Watch out for hellfire, it ticks for 2k and could kill you if the burst damage stacks so walk out of it.

3. Save Shield block until she hits you, same goes for last stand, trinkets, and shield wall. There are times where i would dodge/parry many hits in a row, you want to use your abilities as emergency buttons to safegaurd against unlucky streaks so wait for a hit to go through and then drop a shield block or another emergency button, sometimes you just need a small boost to save you from doom or tide you over for the next hit.

Actually, in episode "Boxing Helena" (production code 612) of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Will is in a boxing ring fighting against a woman, a boxer. He isn't really fighting back against her, as of he doesn't want to hit a girl. But she keeps hitting and taunting him. And after she deals a quite hard punch, which is the limit of control for Will. He yells "MOMMA SAID KNOCK YOU OUT!" And he weaves his arm with all power he has, but misses because she dodges, and she returns with a punch knocking out Will.
He later returns to the same gym, and in the "hall" of the gym, she starts taunting him again, and gives a few punches but now instead he blocks it, and takes her arm swings her around making him standing behind her with both of her arms pushed up against her neck, like a police move. She is very chocked, but apperently very turned on aswell... So they run away together somewhere!

I can't say that this has actually something to do with this Achievment, however it could be.

You can do this incredibly easily in ten-man if you have a warlock. Keep the raid out in the tunnel you just cleared through and have the warlock drop the self-summoning circle they can cast out in the hall with the raid. Then have the 'lock run into Faerlina's room and pull her (with their pet, usually) and then recall out to the hall. Faerlina and her adds will run through the spiderweb "wall" to fight the raid. You can kill the worshippers and Faerlina will reset alone. You can then pull her properly and burn her down for the achievement.

Ive tried this 4 times and everytime it failed.

We waited for her frenzy and we didnt dispell. What are we doing wrong?

Got this achievement solo as a Blood DK in mostly MoP heroic gear. All you have to do is pull Faerlina the farthest you can from the adds (Worshippers) and DPS her. Since the add's fireball range is like 30 yards and the frenzy dispel is 15 yards, they won't be able to cast the dispel.

To solo this at level 90, kill the main boss without killing the adds.

I don't see what all the fuss is about with this achievement. Myself as a Warlock and a guild mate Pally walked in, looked over a few online sources and then figured it out. All you have to do is single target her down and ignore her adds. Widow's Embrace only casts when the adds die by default and not when they're left alive. Just nail down Grand Widow Faerlina ASAP with single target abilities for the quick GG and achievement.

pull the boss away from the adds, once they're casting fireballs you're good, now wait until the boss goes into a frenzy (she gains a buff called 'Frenzy'), once she has the buff kill her. Never touch the adds at all.

1) Pull boss with Death Grip or Dark Command
2) Kite Back
3) Wait Until the adds stop running and stand in place
4) Wait till Fire Balls are cast from the adds
5) Kill the Boss

Did this as a lvl 100 today - just go straight up between the adds in the room (they won't aggro) - one or two singel target hits and you've got your achievment.

March 2021, patch 9.0.5, there's nothing to this. Just one-shot the boss and you get the achievement.
