To get this Achievement, you'll see three purple "ores" or geodes, laying around the edge of the room. They'll be purple and look something in terms of an ore deposit. Have the tank pull the dragon to each location, and let the boss throw Dragon Strike, hitting the geode. This will spawn x3 small things that you need to kill. Do this on all three chunks and you'll have the achivement done.

We let the tank complete his lap with doing them all first, then pop'd cds and BL and killed the boss in regular fashion. Good luck!

Criteria:
Defeat Umbrelskul after smashing Shimmering Geodes with Dragon Strike and destroying 9 Geode Chunks in The Azure Vault on Mythic difficulty.

Strategy:
This is another achievement for the tanks. Around the room are three very bright purple geodes. The tank will need to position the boss in front of these, allowing them to be struck with Dragon Strike. Once struck, the geodes will break and three geode chunks will spawn. DPS these down, and rinse and repeat two more times. Once all 9 geodes are eliminated, defeat the boss as normal.

Instructions for The Cracked Crystal: Around the boss room there are three purple Geodes. The tank has to drag the boss on each of these geodes. When the geodes are hit with the boss’ Dragon Strike ability, 3 geode chunks will spawn which need to be destroyed. You need to down a total of 9 geode chunks. Once that’s done, nuke the boss and you get the achievement.

WARNING: The adds are neutral and can be killed by the boss causing you to not get achievement credit.

As soon as the 3 Geode Chunks spawn make sure you have people tag them. If they die without anyone in the group tagging them, you won't get credit for their kill, and you won't earn the achievement because it requires your group to kill all 9, not just for all 9 to die.

Make sure you track the achievement so you can tell when you have got credit for tagging and killing all 9. This way you know when you have to wipe and attempt again.

I was able to solo this as a 445 VDH, along with the rest of the AV achievements. The achievement itself is easy (see other comments), but this boss hits harder than the other ones. The main issue is that you must kill the crystals that spawn or you will get a ticking dot that you might not live through - therefore being able to do some damage quickly on those and/or saving a big CD of some kind is essential.

Easy Solo for Level 80-100 Worldsoul Saga & Beyond...

0. Achievement tracker will turn from red to white upon criteria met.

1. Mythic Difficulty.

2. Begin fight, reducing boss health down slowly.

3. Stand on the purple colored geodes along the edge of the fight area

4. Boss will eventually slam down on it with Dragon Strike and as a result, Geode Chunks will spawn. Kill them.

5. Rinse & repeat for the other purple colored chunks along the edge of the fight area. Once all 9 are killed, achievement criteria should be met.

6. Nuke boss.

7. ?

8. Profit. Achievement Completed.
