If you capture a tower and an tower of the alliance is nearby, 5 guards will spawn, mount up with like 40% extra speed and will run to the next tower, follow them, they will guard you while you are capturing the tower. If you captured it, you will gain 18 honor + a grave stone will appear, click on it and you'll get Lordaeron's Blessing, wich will give 5% extra health in Eastern Plaguelands, Scholomance and Stratholme. You get 1% extra damage against undead for each tower, if the horde/alliance controls all 4 towers you/they will gain 5% extra damage, wich is a bonus of 1%. This effect is passive, and will just come back when u ressurect. The Blessing won't last through death. You gain 560xp for discovering the towers aswell.

im not sure, but i think the tower has to be either contested or taken by the other side for you to complete it for the quest. It was barley on horde and me and the wife set there until it couldnt go any further up and we didnt get the completion. Just a heads up

Some extra good information: all the towers have a special ability wich i'll write down here:

Crown Guard Tower: if it's captured, the specific faction that holds it will get a Graveyard with a spirit healer near it.

East Wall Tower: 5 guards will spawn, mount up and run to Northpass Tower IF Northpass Tower is controlled by the opposite faction, else, no guards will spawn.

Northpass Tower: if captured, the Shrine of Lordaeron will appear, when you click on it, you'll get 5% extra health in Stratholme, Eastern Plaguelands and Scholomance.

Plaguewood Tower: this tower has a flight master, wich can only be used by the faction that controls it. You can fly only to the other towers, not back. You can even fly to a tower that is controlled by the opposite faction. The 'flying mount' is a ghost and is the same speed as a normal flight path.

in the plaguewood tower i not see a slider, but after few minutes tower change blue-grey-red and quest complete

評論來自 27536

If you are alone, and the tower bar is fully on the opposite side, you'll need 12 minutes to capture it; it takes only 4 minutes if the bar is at the grey border.

19 honor from each tower you capture (at level 59, just after patch 2.4)

評論來自 104949

This quest is easy, you just need a little patience.

First you need to find a tower that is occupied by an opposite faction. Or is contested (neutral), all towers are located on your map. If you see a tower that's already occupied by your faction then you can't do anything about it, wait until your faction loses the tower then capture it.

to capture it, you have to wait until the small bar reaches your faction color and you complete the quest. It takes a few minutes so be patient, once captured you should gain 19 honor and a light should shine on you. The more people you have trying to capture it that are on your faction the faster it goes but if there are enemy players trying to capture the flag at the same time it will go slower.

Blue - Alliance
Gray - Neutral
Red - Horde

This quest was red to a level 55 almost 56 and i actually found it to be easy.
All you have to do is wait in the towers for awhile to take them, the only trouble is somethimes alliance come so i would recomend doing this on a weekday apart from friday there is usually no alliance there.

You only get the amount of gold from the quest, no Honor or Argent Dawn Reputation. Only a waste of time imo...

How can i capture a tower?

評論來自 Thottbot

Sit in tower until it tells you it is captured.

評論來自 Thottbot

Put your pvp on and sit in the tower until its taken.

評論來自 Thottbot

Well I captured the first quest just fine, but some stupid 60 gnome lock followed me for the rest, and right now I went to the furthest tower possible, and am hoping he cant get past the mobs fast enough so I can get the tower and run.

Does the alliance have a FP to plaguewood or something?

A: You have to stand inside the tower, or very close to tower.
B: You must have PVP enabled if you're in non-pvp server.
C: There is an line that shows on right corner of your screen, it shows how much you need to capture tower. Once it is in your faction's colour, you have captured it.
D: Multiple people capture towers faster than just one.

HWL here I come...
Just find a movie to watch and a good anti afk add-on.

Is this still possible? cause I know the patch 2.0 changes things a little. like when I capture a tower its 18 honor instead of 189.

!@#$ quest , easy but boring 0/10

評論來自 Thottbot

what you do if towers already captured?

評論來自 Thottbot

I'm sorry but I love the 70 allys that have nothing better to do then to cap these towers...they make it so easy for a horde to complete this quest. seriously I'm capping a tower right now (I think it just went neutral) and there is a 70 Human mage waiting for me to cap it for horde so he can cap it again...Not ganking me or anything.

EDIT: Never mind...he got bored of waiting =(

評論來自 Thottbot

The plaguewood tower seems to be missing its bar, but its still there, just sit until it turns.

評論來自 Thottbot

The plaguewood tower does not have a bar, but it still works. Just sit in there until your faction gets it. Seems like you can also fly to any other tower from Plaguewood tower.. Probably because it's the farthest one.

評論來自 Thottbot

How long does it take to take a tower? And can you capture it while in stealth?

評論來自 Thottbot

u cant capture a tower that is already captured by the horde.

評論來自 Thottbot

For Plaguewood tower, just stand in tower like you would any other and wait the same amount of time. You won't see any bar for Alliance/Horde, but it works the same as any other tower. You sit for 10 + minutes and then the tower is captured - at the point when the tower becomes neutral, the gryphon master there will disappear. Once captured, a gryphon master for your faction then appears and you can ride a gryphon to any other tower (even one you haven't captured yet).

評論來自 Thottbot

OKAY...HERES THE FINAL THING...
plaguewood tower does not have a capture bar
when it goes neutral the spectral gryphon rider will disappear, and when horde captures our flight master will appear and let you fly to other bases on special ghost mounts.
Even if it looks like you are making no progress, if you're unstealthed and flagged, you are.

評論來自 Thottbot

damn this quest is so boring!

評論來自 Thottbot

I did this quest at work. Run to a tower, alt-tab to some work-related stuff, listen thru my headphones for any odd noises. Lather, rinse, repeat.

As has been stated before, the plaguewood tower seems to be bugged, in that it doesn't give a progress bar. If you stand inside, however, you will eventually cap the tower. Also as has been mentioned, once you capture the tower a griffon master for your side will appear outside plaguewood tower that can fly you to any other tower.

In all, it was an easy quest, if somewhat boring.

Note, EPL was kind of dead when I did it, so I didn't have to worry about alliance at all. You may have to fight it out though.

評論來自 Thottbot

Well I'm not sure if this is new or what since no one else has mentioned it. Starting at the Eastwall Tower Lordaeron fighters and such showed up and rode off. They waited at the Norhtpass Tower for me, also at there is a Lordaeron Shrine that gives you a 5% health increase that lasts for half an hour.
Last but not least as of 9-22-07 Plaugewood Tower now has a status bar!

評論來自 Thottbot

Get ready for a very very very long time just sitting around doing nothing. Even longer if you get some PvP action out of it.

A tower can be in numerous states on the meter, you can be lucky and find all towers in the neutral position (Middle of the bar - gray portion). Unfortunately at the time I ran this quest all towers were under complete alliance control, which means the bar was completely to the left hence a longer period standing there.

So (at least on my server, Kil'Jaeden) The plaguewood tower still does not have a status bar. So stand in that tower unstealthed and you will capture it, can take up to 15 mins.

I started at Eastwall tower then Northpass and then plaguewood. After you capture plaguewood a gryphon master (yes a GRYPHON master) for EITHER (yes EITHER) faction will appear. Taxi a ride to the last tower, crown guard and capture that one.

This quest yields some honor, more if you actually get any pvp out of it.

XP (at lvl 59) = 6600
Honor = 75

評論來自 Thottbot

on my server, mok'nathal plaguewood has a meter. but alliance watches it well

評論來自 Thottbot

Finished the quest, finally, after coming to the EP 3 separate times. First few times all the towers were Alliance controlled and there were no Horde in the area to contest them, boring.

Today, there were Horde all over, along with us Alliance, and it was a blast trying to complete the quest and keep control of the towers, even after the quest was done.

An important note about the timers in the towers:

The timers work like this - there is a meter that shows about 40% blue; 20% gray; and 40% red (approximate). Once one side takes a tower, and no one contests it, the timer runs all the way to one side, slowly, until it reaches the end. So, if the Alliance takes a tower, the meter will run all the way into the blue to the left, if no Horde come to the tower marked PVP. Now, It will take ABOUT 5 minutes, marked PVP, for a Horde player to sit in that tower for the meter to run all the way through the blue (40%), through the gray (20%) and reach the red. Once the meter reaches red, the tower marks Horde. It does NOT have to run ALL the way through the red to mark Horde, just barely touch the tiniest part of the red.

Now, if you are running this quest, what you should do, as I did, is wait for a tower to be turn gray, which means a Horde is in there, run to it and wait outside (hidden). Watch the tower run Red and watch the Horde guy run to the next tower. Run inside and mark PVP and you will see that the meter is BARELY into the red. You will maybe have to wait 1 1/2 minutes while the meter comes out of the tiny part of the Red and through 20% gray until it touches blue, you're done! Follow the guy to the last one and kill him. :-) Don't kill him before because you need him to mark the towers!

Also, the Plague tower timer STILL does not work, just stand there until you get the 'flash' and your log shows.

One more note, try to remember to unflag PVP before running back to camp, although it was fun not to. We had 2 Alliance against 3 Horde in a free for all that was kinda fun. One note tho, if you get close to the 70 Elite guards near the camp, and anyone from any side attacks the other, the 70's attack whomever attacked first! Trust me, you'll go down fast, lol.

Good Luck

well i have been flagged , sat for way to long and nothing happened. Dont you get a bar that shows you how far along you are by your map

評論來自 Allakhazam

I'm sorry. No honor for converting neutral to your side. However 18 for converting from opposing faction. You dont get a quest objective unless the tower is under opposing faction control. Going to make this quest hard since Eastern Plagueland tower capturing isnt a huge priority on my server.

2.0.1 patch: you get 18 honor points per tower capture.

You can't be stealthed or go stealth. anytime your in stealth it takes away from the meter or the meter never shows. Found this one out the hard way.

Turn the PvP on when coming to the tower and yo you need to wait about 2 minutes to Turn the tower to Grey (if it was Blue) and then wait till it turns Red.
There is a Graphic notification (you won't miss it)

On a PvE server, wandering around a tower does nothing, nothing to click on that I can tell. No enemies to fight. Is there some specific order or do you have to actually go PvP in the tower or what?

評論來自 Allakhazam

Lame.. I waited there forever and nothing happened.

評論來自 Allakhazam

This also gives 189 bonus honor for each tower you gain control of.

評論來自 Allakhazam

I've tried this numerous times, but no bar appears on my screen... what add-on can conflict with this?

評論來自 Allakhazam

Tower apparently needs to be completely Alliance/Horde if you're Horde/Alliance, respectively or neutral in order to capture, which is retarded since I could only capture 3 of the 4 towers.

評論來自 Sarniezz

Just to repeat what's been said down below: if you're stealthed, you won't get credit for capturing the tower!

評論來自 Maaarf

So, after capping the first tower, I headed over to plaguewood and capped it but no quest credit given, I went to the other two towers and capped those and no quest credit given, I can only assume that, as i did them out of sequence, it bugged the quest, and so I wasted my time.
Rather miffed tbh,

評論來自 Imbarus

This quest is not bugged. You'll always get credit for cap if you capped it from ally to horde without interruptions.
I didnt get credit, thought it was a bug, but then it occured to me -- it is so damn boring to cap it, you move all the time.
And sometime you leave the capping area.
Well, when you cap it ally>neutral, and then jump around and leave the area even for a brief period of time, you will cap it from neutral to horde, which is not enough?
That's my theory anyway.

評論來自 y3ll

Still extremely buggy. No credit, even if you switch all the way from A to H

評論來自 silithrim

There seems to be a cooldown before you get credit for a new capture. Maybe around 2 hours?

評論來自 Arccai

Definitely longer than 2 hours, i've waited nearly 5 hours, from 1 tower to another. Didn't get any quest score.

評論來自 Jannysregina

There is most defenitly a cooldown between captures - I got one tower, went to the next - got no credit. Did other stuff for a couple of hours, came back and now I got credit. Didnt even have to go inside the tower, I just rode up to the front entrance and the quest popped.
Edit: And that would also mean that the tower was grey atm.

評論來自 Hammerfel

In SOD, this was bugged for me. Only the first capture counted in my quest progress. I captured all four. I never left the capture area after initiating it. Didn't go stealth or anything either.

評論來自 Furydeath

Safe to say this quest will NEVER be fixed, we all know blizzard doesn't care, and here is even more proof
