Something you mine to get just gems, no ore. Interesting addition.

Now where is it?

評論來自 klokie

Probably in either Black Temple or Mount Hyjal, a better way of finding the epic gems.

They are in Hyjal after you clear a camp. They are along the road.

Went on the test PTR's and found 5 Ancient Gem Veins - you have to clear the 2nd boss camp and kill the 2nd boss for these to spawn.

Can anyone please post a screenshot of this node?

Can you stealth in and farm these babies?

To get these veins, talk to Proudmoore/Thrall after the bosses are down, the veins spawn when the scourge come to devour the city (they spawn in between the alliance and horde camps).

Spawn between Alliance and Horde Camp, after u down Rage Winterchill and Anetheron, and between Horde Camp and Night Elves Village after u kill Kaz'rogal and Azgalor. In both cases veins spawns along the road to next camp. Maxed mining skill needed to mine,

Usually only 2-3 hits per vein, and the droprate of green gems seems extremely high.

Purple gems mined from these can be bought for x15 badges on PTR

" Mining nodes in MH don't appear to drop green gems anymore, have a higher rate on epic gems and now drop a grey fragment that sells for 30g/stack (20 stack)."

According to worldofraids.com as of patch 2.4

From mining a few nodes since patch 2.4, you can expect to see anywhere from 5-8 epic gems after mining all the veins. Also, it's very possible to not mine anything but the fragments from a single vein. It was, however, a much needed improvement over the old system.

For a chance of getting more gems and crystal fragments, be sure to have your Mining skill maxed.
And when I say maxed, I mean have an Engineer mine them, because he can have both https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/item=10542 and https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/spell=13841 :D

where can we find these?

評論來自 Thottbot

You can find these in Mount Hyjal (the 25-man Raid).

評論來自 Thottbot

ok but, where in there?

2 veins appear after azgalor in hyjal is killed (boss before archimonde) u mine them with a miner who should have plus 5 mining gloves for best results and ammount of hits can get a few epics gems and alot of *!@#ty ones. since trash in black temple drop them like crazy, these gems appear more common now and with certain bosses down in bt u can even solo kite mobs (killed enslaved servant got mark of illidari and crimson gem though it took 30 minutes to kill.) but besides that yeah 2 appear per week not to many epic gems though.

They are always in the summit, there are approximately 6 of them, and you usually get 1-2 epic gems off of each node.

評論來自 Allakhazam

Are they always in the summit? or is it a rare vein?

評論來自 Allakhazam

Do these veins respawn in MH?
