Just soloed it as a 24 level MM hunter with a raptor dps pet. The trash are easy so I won't mention anything. As for the boss:
1) Lay a trap in front of you and keep aspect of the cheetah on.
2) Start the fight by pulling him and send the pet in.
3) At some point the pet will get caught in a net and Gelihast will start running for you.
4) Take a few steps back, press the "follow" button on your pet and make sure there is not serpent sting on the boss. He will get trapped and if you time it correctly you won't have a net on you.
5) Gain dinstance and repeat.
6) Profit.

HE is lots stronger with attack power it increases he's speed. Watch out Mhempel Made a good tip.

I don't know. I thought it might have something to do with lighting the torches to get to AkuMai or give an immunity to one of AkuMai's attacks.

i did 7 runs thru BFD and i did the murloc part ive seen the gloves 6 times and the axe 1 time and its green the gloves r blue how come i see a blue most?
i used the gloves on my 46 warrior lmao
if any1 says get the gloves from ZF i tryd and it dropped the eagle pair =( lol

To get Blessing Of The Blackfathom you have to go to Gelihast's Shrine and right-click it. Funny he has a shrine but he's not dead... Yet.

What i don't get.. at all, why do bosses level 30- have no real "Way to kill" like ZG, ZF, Kara bosses do, like murmur has a giant Arcane Explosion, this guy just hits you

There is no problem clearing the room so you can take him alone. Just be careful.

Does anybody know what the "Blessing of Blackfathom" gained by Gelihast's Altar does? It lasts 60 minutes, and that's ALL it says...

As with all murlocs, he will link with just about everything in the entire pond. Just work your way through the starter murlocs, and when you get to him, it'll be a 3 or 4 murloc pull.

As a Level 35 Rogue I decided to try my hand solo at BFD just to see what kind of drops I would get. When I got to Gelihast and the room full of Murlocs pretty close together, I decided that trying to pull any would probably bring too many of them on me at once, so I didn't bother. Instead I stealthed to a spot behind and to the left of the Shrine of Gelihast, backing as far into the cave wall as I could. I could still make out the top of Gelihast's head, his comb, so I targeted him and after waiting for the one patrolling murloc to go by, I used a throwing knife on him. It worked. He came all by himself, and I clung to the wall as we fought it out. Used deadly poison on my main dagger and crippling poison on my off hand, but he never tried to run like most murlocs will. He wasn't overly easy to kill, but he went down eventually. I used one healing pot in the process, but as a fairly inexperienced player, I don't yet have all the finessed fighting combinations down, so someone else could probably have taken him at the same level (or lower) without the pot is my guess.

Was an easy fight with 27 sham and 27 hunter, easy to clear the room, just have to wait for some good pathing

as a 28 tauren druid i solo'd this guy, took a bit to clear half the side of room (and a couple deaths) but he was an easy fight, hit a bit hard but was stunable = win for me :)

I go on this run all the time on alliance side and never seen him anyone know were he is or if he is hord spawned?

Its really easy to kill him, jus kill the murlocs blocking the way to him. U don't need to kill those on the Eastern side of the pool/pond. The murlocs in the pool are spellcasters so u can't pull them out of their pool. they r only able to cast Lightning Bolt.
When u attack Gelihast,he is likely to throw a net over you n attack u. His attack speed is very fast n the damage he deals is high but he goes down fast.

ME n a 31 Druid from my Guild WEnt ME(Dragonsit 41 ne HUnter) we killed every thing n i got algea fist!
