This NPC is named after a Blizzard game designer's Everquest character, Whizbang. Whiz was the author of many well-known articles on wizardry and the like. The fellow who played Whizbang is no longer with Blizzard, but his friends immortalized him, so to speak, here.

The correct Coords seem to 37,44; he is upstairs in the Inn for any who miss him.

Many years ago on an internet far, far away, someone once asked why this NPC would not give them the quests for the Gaffer Jacks or the Electopellers.

It's actually a 2 part series, Fish for the Gaffer jacks in the sea/ocean and the electrpellers from int inland lakes or rivers. See those individual quest pages for more comments and such.

The key to it all though is you MUST HAVE A FISHING SKILL OF 30+ or you can't get the quests.

This fellow must have a dwarf in his heritage somewhere, but definitely retains the cleverness gnomes are known for. He sends you all over the entire zone to get his fix, and does it from the comfort of Auberdine. If only we could all have such cozy jobs, eh?
