Agreed that this is an annoying kill quest. Lvl 70 Elites wandering around through tightly packed mobs, some of whom run when low on health?

Don't even think about running and losing aggro if one gets on your tail. If you can't Feign or Vanish just take your death like a man and find a safe place to rez later.

Ridiculous annoying quest.

Also something hard about this mob for melee classes is the debuff they give which reduces melee damage done by 75%

After talking to a GM about the problem, until they fix it, he told me the mobs must be killed exactly where they start. For those classes that can't instantly be in top of them in melee range, all you need to do is fight them near where they spawn, and get them to reset.

Pull with Siphon Life and tell blue berry to attack when mob is running at you. Cast Curse of Doom. When Siphon Life is done, put blue on passive and let mob hit it until CoD procs and kills the slayer.

If you have a flying mount, go to 73,41...there's a little corner there where you are out of range of the Eye and elite dragonkin. The Slayers there can be pulled and killed without them resetting. It appears to only happen when they are paired up, so the single ones are fine...

When I tried this they were bugged... at 50% health they'd run back to the starting spot evade, heal and dispell afflictions, really annoying

Still bugged :(
As a hunter it's hard to kill them without incredible luck or speedy high damage. Even sending pet in will result in the mob moving just a little, and then evading.

This quest is ridiculous and i would recomend skipping it at all costs. Although it is a kill quest you will be constantly harrassed by patroling 70 elites and eye of kilrog, which summon 70 elites. After dying about 15 times i dropped it dont attempt it unless you are a rogue or a ne.

Its possible to do this really easily, a flying mount helps of course. On the left and right side of the first set of stairs are little nook kind of things. You can stay there without aggroing the elites, and pull the ones you need into it as you need to.

73,41 is a safe spot to pull the slayers from. Just start at the end of the line and they only come one at a time. The elite and the eye don't come past the end of the wall. The eye can be one shotted to buy yourself some more time between pulls and the elite.

actually-not so bad, at least not for a hunter speced in mark and just a bit of survival.

i started with the hard part, the chosen and darkweavers.

i hovered around for awhile, watching pats and looking for a spot to land. best place is clear to the back. near where 3 elites are casting something there are 2 rock spires, land on the tallest one. watch from there until you know the pats and then you can pull the chosen closest to you and take him, np. then hop down to the lower spire and pull the 2nd one. as long as you keep your back the the rocks they shouldnt be able to kick you off. if you time it right you should get both of them between the pats. a good spot to rest/heal up if you dont have time to mount and get back on the rocks is on the mini landing on the stairs between the elites and the landing with the chosen, neither the elites or the pats should aggro you there. after that you just pull the other 2 chosen, 1 at a time, up to you in between pats. (at this point it took me long enough to figure out that i wasnt going anywhere from here on foot that those same ones respawned so i just did the same thing again and got my 8).

after i finished them i dismissed my pet and tried to make my way on foot to the darkweavers on the other side of that tier...BAD IDEA. only fiegn saved me there. your best bet is to mount up and fly to where the rock wall and the edge of the tier make a corner and take the darkweaver there. hover directly above him, as close as you can w/out aggroing, and wait until you get the pat order down. when its clear dismount in the air and drop straight down on top of him, attacking as soon as you hit the ground. i managed with just melee and flame trap, aoe/snake traps being another bad idea, still no pet. be warned though, they try to run away once their health is down and can aggro more if you arent careful. after that i mounted up and flew to the next lowest tier, and found the same setup in the corner along the edge and the same rock wall. after i had the pat timing down i repeated the fight. dicrectly across from this guy was another darkweaver, along the back wall, same routine and i downed him pretty easily. then, facing out from the wall, on your right should be 2 more darkweavers under the tent/canopy things. from the spot you're at you should be able to pull one of them, np. 4 darkweavers.

the slayers at the entrance were cake.

not too bad a quest if your careful, just dont make a move until you know the timing on the pats, move quick when you do, and heal/mana up between fights. finished the quest, no deaths, not kidding, 25s in repairs :D

Huh, that was the hardest "solo" q in Outland yet -.-
One of my luck to, when i'm start this q i already have the flying mount and i could discover this place and fly to very good places. And the shaman could "decurse" the enrage with Purge and i could Interrupt the magics with Earth Shock so it was a short q, but i cant find the way if i'm come on foot. Only with flying mount. Good luck to the below lvl 70 Players xD

the first 15 or so went as said, they would evade around 30-50%, no matter what.

Finally, i put away my pet, and starting with the first ones you come to, i pulled and kited down the road til dead. Easy, but time consuming. if they never touched me, and my pet never hit them, then they never evaded.

yeah it's bugged i had to dot it and keep it feared if i did any other attack besides CoA or Corruption they resetted.

No bug problems for me. These guys are up the first passageway just north of the Aldor/Scryer gathering in the Ata'mal Terrace, near Xi'ri. Look out for the elite 70 Shadowsworn Drakonid that patrols the area.

Still buggy.

Only way I could do the Slayers was to fight them at their spawn points and melee them. Move even a short distance from that and they evade after a while. Putting a Snake Trap down at about 60% health seemed to help, as if the Slayers did Evade, the snakes would re-aquire their target before they got chance to regen back to full health. Still a very frustrating quest atm, especially with the Elites wandering around, making the timing quite tricky sometimes.

Everytime they enrages and sometimes when they just feel like it they run back to their spawnpoint evading and regen hp.
