I was grinding the mobs around him following his trail, and when he finally spawned, I killed him and he didn't drop the quest item. So annoyed.

Just keep walking up and down the area it shows on the map. He spawns about every 10-15 minutes from what I've seen. And no, he's not tamable.

I found him around 56,53. With my 26 Hunter, he went down pretty fast. If you're killing him for the head, make sure you completed The Ashenvale Hunt. I made the mistake of not completing it and couldn't figure out why the head wouldn't drop.

You must have completed The Ashenvale Hunt given by Senani Thunderheart in Splintertree Post to loot his head.

I killed her at lvl 24, she attacks fast but not very hard hits. but then again im a hunter :D

I've seen her stalking around 57,56 in Ashenvale.
I'm alliance and she's a friendly mob so I can't do anything to her.

Shadumbra stalks between the stump at 62,49 on the North side of Raynewood Retreat. She follows the trail on the west side of Raynewood
and all the way to the foot of the open meadow @ 52,54.

She came from the west and I was able to kill her at 56, 56.

Couldn't solo on my level 22 Rogue, hits for about 30-50 every second.

Oh. By the way this cat is for a Horde quest,her head starts a quest to be turned in at Splintertree Post.

I killed this Shadumbra one time with a lvl 27 warrior and 2 times myself. the head dropped for the warrior but not for me and im lvl 26 priest.

OMG... Drop rate will be increased if u speak to Senani Tunderheart. She's outside the inn in Splintertree Post. When I killed The Ashenvale Hunt beasts without speaking to her i never got quest items (talon, paw or head). But i don't claim they won't drop unless talking to her.

I killed this mob and the two other turn ins she offers, got the quest items first kill on all three mobs.

just killed the cat and it didn't drop head...is there anything you need to do before you can pick it up?

u have to talk to shanini stoneheart(or something dont remember name)before they drop head/paw/claw..if u cant talk to him try to get "the ashenvale hunt" quest...i think u can get it in orgrimmar..well i found shadumbra at 53.54..

Does anyone know the respawn time for this mob... I saw it when i came, dead... Then have i waited here for like 50 min and no spawn. Have checked the other two mobs in "Ashenvale Hunt" and they have spawned... but not Shadumbra.

Reading the forums on where to find her whilst I am stealthed with wow minimized then i hear a mob attacking me and lo and behold, Shadumbra!

Re-spawn rate is about 15 minutes.

Cat is not stealthed, and was an easy kill as a lv26 shaman. Cat attacks pretty quick so an unlucky string of resists and missed melee hits can cause significant health lost, but nothing fatal if you engage at full health.

Cat is not social with the dryads around, can be range pulled without aggroing the dryads.

Shadumbra will not spawn while the Ashenvale event is live.

SoD > He spawned about 1 minute after the pvp event ended. Can confirm he does not spawn while event is up as I was there searching for him the whole time not realizing that he did not spawn during the event. Spawned right by the tree stump as others have mentioned 62,50.
Hope this helps someone not make my mistake and waste 30 minutes.

Spawns at 62, 50. Not active during the SoD Ashenvale PvP event, but spawns immediately when it ends.

I found Shadumbra at 53.5, 54.7 on the Classic 20th Anniversary server after completing 梣谷狩獵. Shadumbra was patrolling the path (not trail, there is no road) southwest of Raynewood Retreat, moving away from it.
