Looking at it's drop rate and AH prices ranging from 20 to 100g, it's for sure must be blue pattern. But probably it's green because of cheep materials.

I'm max level tailor for a year, and i check AH every day for patterns that i don't have, and i seen it in AH only once. And still missing it (was no buyout, and i must sleep sometimes too).

And it's in game for 2+ years.

It IS a green pattern. Very rare cause its a world drop. No way of farming it and I've been play WoW for almost as long. Seen it twice in the AH...same bid only and like the last poster I have to sleep some time...

the reason for the "appaling" drop rates is because its a new pattern. Thottbot collects data on all kills, not just the ones in which this item was availible in the drop table.

Just got this on Aggramar EU horde side, it does exist but ive never found anyone with it before.

I am a bit confused about this item. It's a rather low level pattern for a low level armor piece. I got one recently and put it on the AH for a few gold. Almost instantly a 25G bid was placed on it. Today I got the final bid of 75G in my mailbox. I was astonished....and extraordinarily happy that I didn't put a buyout price on it. :oD

I'm a 42 shadow priest. I like the dungeons, but I also like doing DPS when I solo/quest. No PvP for me. I want both damage and healing bonuses, so I started gathering items with "+ damage and healing by magical spells and effects."

Here's what I have so far:

Dreamweave Gloves +18 (tailor made)
Dreamweave Vest +18 (tailor made)
Red mageweave pants +14 (tailor made)
Cassandra's grace +44 (lucky drop)
Inquisitor's shawl +9 (SM)
Acidic Walkers +5 (gnomer)
golden ring of power +6 (JC made)

I use the Illusionary Rod. But I want the :
Hypnotic blade +9 (SM)
Orb of Lorica (SM Quest reward)

And I am looking for the:
Star Belt +13 (tailor pattern drop)

If you know of an upgrade for me, please post, I'm looking to see how high I can get the bonus.

LOL....i have farmed for this and farmed for this trying to get every last tailoring pattern and I finally saw it come up on the AH on Draenor server...IT WAS IN THE AH FOR 10 SILVER BUYOUT!

Defiler's Cloth Girdle

While the PvP one is a better belt, it requires a higher level and requires that you run Arathi Basin to get it. The AB cloth belt is also limited to Priest/Mage/Lock and the leather/mail/plate counterparts do not give bonus spell damage. While I enjoy PvP enough to just get the AB one, I can see how someone not into PvP or maybe a druid or shaman or paladin may want the Star Belt since it would be one of their only options at this level for a spell damage belt of any kind.

This is one of a handful of extremely rare world drop recipes from Vanilla WoW.

Some extremely rare world drop recipes (Lionheart Helm) make sense, as its a BIS endgame item for a class. However most, including this one, don't. It's a pretty nice craftable belt, but nothing special. However due to it's rarity collectors will pay big for it, it can take some time to find a buyer, but once you find a collector who understands how rare it is you can make a mint. Keep an eye out for this one, it's the sort of recipe a player will find, have no idea it's anything special and post for under 1g.
