I have 182 skill at mining right now. BUT the trainer in IF dont have any more stuff to teach me..:S

Same thing is with BS, got 156 skill now and the BS teachers in IF and SW dont have any more stuff to learn away..

im on ally side.

So could someone that have done it give me some tip on how i can find a new trainer?

Is there a trainer after 170-180 skill to learn you new stuff? Or is it quest i have to do before they can learn me new things?

Please someone give me some tip, would be very nice of you all.

go to lethlor revine in badlands and search around the sides, you tend to find that there is a lot of it there.

oh and you can indeed farm mithril and get skills up.1 point per node.a slow way but doable .)

i actually found a lot in hinterlands, skull rock has a lot of it cuz theres a lot of respwan, i found mithril in the same place atleast 10 times

wow mining iron till 202 must have been annoying from the other posts i think you learn it in stormwind something bout the dwarf section (sorry i am rather clueless i play horde.

smelting is like disenchanting it wont lvl up much unless ur at the beginning. so to lvl up ur mining u will have to go out and mine

For me, Badlands has been the best place to grind. Run around the outside and make sure to go into every rock elemental area. In the edge and center areas mostly find iron and silver/gold, but the elemental areas always have mithril/truesilver, (unless someone else was just there). Grinding ore this way quickly got me ore, stone, elemental earth, and a 275 mining skill. Oh yeah, and Bow of Searing Arrows dropped too.

wat lv do u need to be to prospect the mithril ore and wat will u get from it?

and the same about iron?

When I heard about all the mithril that was supposed to be in badlands, i naturally went there. And although i probaly got about 8-10 mithril veins per circuit.

So i tried The Hinterlands and trust me, the difference is huge!

My advice: go to hinterlands!

Guys i got abit of a problem here....
Ive been out and mine some gold to i got 175. Then i learned to smelt steel and mithril. The problem is that when i learned it, it turned grey inmediately. (Trust me, ive smelted 100 steel bars without getting any points) Plz tell me what going wrong here o.O

This was very recently changed. If you look at the thottbot notes on all smelting higher than Gold, they go grey upon learning the skill. Does anyone know when this happened?

Farming Tanaris for about 1.5 hours, i got:
60 Mithril Ore
22 Iron Ore
5 Silver Ore
2 Gold Ore
1 Jade
and countless Solid and Heavy Stones.
Check the insect holes for ore as well. Got on average 3 to 4 veins each in these areas.

Highlands has LOTSof Mithril Ore.

I got a grand total of 30 Mithril Ore just circling the Highlands :). This place is recommended :)))

And a whopping 28 skill points (180 mining to 208!)

OMG! i have been trying to farm mithril ore for a day in badlands and i got about 60 tops. then i went to hinterlands and got 60 in about a hour or two. so if you want mithril go to hinterlands!

listen, this is easy. If you find someone undercutting you, buy them out. No one has enough mithril, or can mine enough, I should say, that they can offer a continuous supply of underpriced ore or bars. by buying up all the mithril they sell, you can artificially keep prices high (and flip theirs for a profit).

No one can mine 200 mithril in a short enough amount of time to counteract what your doing. And because they sell it so cheap, you can easily afford to keep buying out their stock and flipping it. They cannot stop you.

Hinterlands and Tanaris are good for those level 45 to 50.
If you are level 42 (like me at the time of writing), you can either keep farming in Arathi Highlands (where you get more iron than mithril) or try Desolace (where the nodes are few and far between).

Another option is to circle The Charred Vale in Stonetalon Mountains.
This is a good option for Horde as there's a back entrance to Sun Rock Retreat off The Charred Vale.
The idea of this spot is patience. Just keep going, it will happen ... eventually.
Mine every node you come across. One node mithril and gold share.
