I just created mine on the PTR... bad idea, now I'm even more waiting for 2.3 :(

everything is animated on it !
from the reactors to the rotor, including rear parts, toolbox, backpack, motor, hula girl doll, everything moves.

there's two idle animations, one airborne one landed :
airborne : the 'copter's motor stop suddenly and you start falling down with everything shut down, when you reach the bottom of the hitbox motors restart and the thing works again, very nice way of saying "we could have put a fail chance on this too" :D

landed : the machine just lands and shuts down for a while :)

the audio team also worked very hard on it, several different motors and animation sounds are used.

all in all it's a good 200g spent to get it, since I farmed the mats myself.
the hard part is getting to 374 engineering, but takes only a few days with Adamantite Rifles.

edit : on PTR, the horde trainer is an undead near shadowmoon's flying wyvern's stables. And Niobe is not a dark skinned human female :(

Correct me, if i'm wrong, but i think, there is a relation to the cartoon "Jimmy Neutron".
The Hula-Puppet behind the window reminds me of the Ultralord superhero, who is used in that serie.

Now after checking the item over a bit I can't find anywhere that says u need 300 flying skill, not in game, not at wowhead. There are a reply abit up that says:

"Requires artisan riding skill or higher to use."
Artisan = 300, so you do need it...

So have anyone tried it without 300 riding skill?

As most of the hardcore players know the non-epic version looks like the flying machines located at the air base which is north east of Ironforge. There were dwarves fighting against trolls, I spelled as "were" because we are not able to enter there and see how fight goes on anymore. ^^

I am so ticked off! Since someone in the threads said that you only needed Engineering 375 to fly the turbo version, I finally got that and made the turbo (thereby deleting the non-turbo as it is an ingredient in the turbo recipe) After putting it on my spell bar, click and ...."Requires Artisan riding skill", which I knew beforehand, but someone here said otherwise... gRRRR!

So, now we have to spend a crazy amount of gold to get to Eng 375 and another large chunk to get the turbo and then another large chunk for the skill

Stupid stupid stupid!

I've noticed the Skyguard now say, "There's our ace pilot, XXX" when I'm in Skettis. They never said that when I had my regular flying mount. This is at revered.

Says it right there on the label. Sucks to lose your lolcopter until you get 5k gold, though, especially after levelling engineering to 375 :|.

Beastly mount. Extremely worth the cost as very few people have it. Randomly it will shut off when your not moving (either in the air or on the ground) and the engine will start sputtering. The mount doesn't actually break but the effect scared me the first time I went flying on it. Also the hula girl doll thats needed to craft it doesn't go to waste, as it is visible on the dash of the mount :P All in all this is something to aspire to as an engineer and will make all those fools who grinded netherwing rep jealous ^_^

I think the majority of people here have completely failed to see the point...

It doesn't matter that I'm going to pay far...far...far more for it...

And annoying as it is...I can live with the fact that my Eng skill doesn't allow me to fly this *expletive deleted* automatically...

The point is...this is a way of flying up to all those suckers on their netherdrakes and flagrantly flaunting just how much more awesome I am than them...despite my sadly mostly blue gear...I somehow will manage to get what they can only drool over...

that is...when I get it that's what it will be...(curses his 370 skill combined with his eternal brokeness)
