The weapon is fantastic if you're considering going fist spec. I have one, however, with all the new resilience and mitigation in arena gear, burst damage is a thing of the past and I regret my buying decision. Consider going swords for arena because it's turning into a war of sustained dps while keeping their other members cc'd.

Maces are also a good alternative, if not better, than swords for pvp.

Combat mace builds for rogues seem to be the 'in' thing at the moment.

Having played a rogue for a long time I think this is a first, as mace builds have always been considered lesser builds vs other weapons.

But in arena, cant go wrong with a mace build =)

If anyone ever wonderd why this wep has more max dmg than the sword, but same dps,
it's the dmg range, while this one has 153 difference between min and max dmg, while the sword only has 102.

All Merciless mainhand weapons have now taken the spot of s1, at vendors. The Mainhand costs 18.000 points and 20 Eots marks, a offhand costs 9.000 and 20 eots marks.

This IS best in-game main-hand. (Off-hand is best off-hand)

Just look dps. 5 more then even Talon of the Phoenix! Stats rule too, and of course the look is DA ownage.

I'm actually a week away from this with an assassination/sub build. Cold blood, seal fate, vigor and the good stuff that end. The rest in sub giving me prep, hemo spam, ghostly strike and a lower energy cheapshot.
After first cheapshot, I can usually get in three or four hemo's before it runs out and follow with a ks.
With this I've calculated I'd be getting crits for anywhere between 800-1400, and normals for around 400-700.
That plus CB evisc?
Serious damage. You don't have to be a combat rogue to use weapons other than daggers.
And for the record, the damage difference between daggers and other weapons, even taking backstab and ambush into consideration, is relatively small.
Backstab however obviously must be behind the target and is expensive in energy. As opposed to hemo spam which is neither.
Remember that white damage works out around the same, but most rogues will never care much for white damage outside of combat spec.
The difference ends up in things like SS and other moves that deal damage according to weapon damage.
Slower weapons = bigger hemo, bigger SS, much bigger GS and less worry about positioning.

Pick this weapon by your heart! Mace are good but, somtime when mass ganking a healer or something you dont care bout stuns because you just want your target to die.
And swords, they are very good but they dont pwn fist. I think they are both imba dps with extra hits and crits, so if you prefer crits over hits and stuns pick this fist

Just a quick question, Which is better for a dual weilding shammy's main hand? The Shanker or the Right Ripper? Both have identical stats, but the shanker is almost a full second faster. I already bought the Left Ripper because my OH was more in need of an upgrade. Both cost the same amount of points.

is this a good PvE and PvP spec 22/32/7 adrenaline rush,cold blood, 21 increase in evescrate, 10% crit chance and blade flurry? ive tried it i have a 31% crit chance and i want to see if anyone wants to try it doing well in PvE didnt try PvP...

hmm not sure if i should get this or the MH dagger(currently useing Ced's)since i have the OH dagger already. guild has kara on farm and wondering if i should get malch (if it ever drops) and use the points on this. have around 30%crit and 1600ap any advice would be appreciated.

I don't know what people are thinking when they yell "OMG AZZINOTH WARGLAIVE IS BETTER U IDIOTS!"
How many people are gonna be able to get those kind of endgame items, whereas anyone can put together a decent arena team and get the gladiator stuff eventually? yeah it may take awhile...
So what about SSC, BT, etc...? if you have a guild that can do them, great. But these epics are THE items for anyone who isn't in a serious guild. (which is a lot of people).

Noone seems to consiter availability when they post...on any item...

Been pvping for what seems forever and other than youtube this week was the first time ive ever seen any player with warclaive. He had 1 and a blue off-hand and had rank 2 in killing blows. i was amazed by this guy and yah its the besat but to even THINK about getting it u have to be in a EXTREMELY proggressed organized guild. For the large majority its a dream like my hunters bt bow off illidan.. mabye when the patch comes out :P
this is a truely awsome wep so have the sense that ur the small % that actally can get the damn bt epic and don't diss a truely epic arena wep

Now it's available from PVP vendor. Definitely going to get this once I get the EotS Marks. S3 equipment looks awesome, but I'll wait for it to come out on pvp vendors
