Will it place a HoT on all your chain heal targets as well? If so seems like a nifty resto trinket.
Or let me rephrase that: has anyone shaman tested the trinket by now?

Nerfed back to 500 healing, BUT..
16 passive mana per five sec added.

changed again to 500 HoT, and added 16mp5 passive.
this is the leet hotness, cool for non-HoT classes, though imo this excells with druids and priests, especially druids since they're throwing instant hots left and right 24/7
edit: ok i'm really slow

Though I'm sure it'll be hotfixed out soon, healing done by Vampiric Embrace procs this trinket.
I hope it isn't nerfed of course, there aren't many other trinkets with passive mana per 5 secs bonuses that have other effects useful to shadow priests.

Got this today, and the CD on it seems to be about 15seconds. I've had one proc, then another 17 seconds later, and then another time it was 14 seconds (could just be ui error). I havent seen one proc while one was already up though.
Works on Chain Heal, but wont proc on all 3 targets if it procs on the first (i was hoping.. hah).
Kinda nice =D

I'm getting a little over 8% proc rate while constantly spamming Flash of Light.
Guess the internal cool down is reducing its proc rate while constantly casting? Or is it actually less than 15% ?
Over all it seems like a pretty crappy trinket, currently im just using it for the mana regen, but that doesnt make it too much better than Rejuv. Gem (

I'll submit for contemplation the possibility that the cooldown on this is actually 12seconds (the duration of the HOT) and not 14-15seconds.

I was worried if chain heal would proc this or not.
Too bad the internal cooldown prevent its from multi-procing.
And yes, the longer the spell cast, the better the proc rate will be due to the internal cooldown, or atleast in theory... I think.
So this would be worth "more" to people who cast bigger heals more often the small heals... right?

For those resto druids that like this sort of thing, Swiftmend DOES work on this HoT.

This trinket is great. Good mana regeneration and a nice little HoT. Two reasons why I like this now:
1 - As a Holy Priest with Circle of Healing, I can get the HoT on lots of people very quickly for a very small cost. I think it's brilliant.
2 - With multiple healers in a 25 man raid using this trinket, you will end up with many of these HoTs on individuals like the main tank.

As a restoration shaman I find this trinket very useful in PvP. With about +2000 healing (trinkets and WoA) my earth shield ticks for around 940, having this trinket equipped each tick will have a 15% chance to heal for an additional 500 hp.
In a normal 2-on-2 game I'll go through between 1 and 3 earth shields, meaning the trinket alone will heal me for 750-2250 hp, not to mention the fact it does add quite a nice amount of mana/5sec, which is very useful for those long arena games.

Very nice for priest and druid too, procs off PoM and lifebloom end tick. Each pom jump can proc it, which is incredibly good when you can get it to bounce between two people. Only negative is that it's purgable, but even then it's still a good thing, less likely to take renew or freedom etc.

Below is an analysis of the +healing value of Fel Reaver’s Piston using actual numbers taken from a combat log parse of Void Reaver. Void Reaver was selected because it is an ideal condition for 3 primary types of healing; Pally’s spamming flash of light, Shaman spamming Chain Heal, and Priest spamming Circle of Healing. For a priest spamming flash heal, one could probably assume results similar to Pally and flash of light. I don’t consider a Druid here because I don’t understand all of their mechanics relative to this trinket.
Your actual results may be different, but the analysis remains the same. Swap out any combination of 1) hits per minute and 2) scale of +heal/hit to get your own results.
This entire analysis, and opinions stated therein, are only about the +healing value of the trinket. The mana/5 is not factored here in any way except in the conclusion.
1. Analysis of actual results from a Void Reaver kill:
Class.............................minutes--# of casts........# of hits........hits per minute....seconds/hit
CoH priest..........................9.............130..................420 .................47.....................1.3
CH Sham...........................9...............80..................200..................22.....................2.7
Pally/Priest (normal)...........9..............120.................120..................13.....................4.5
Note: all healers employed multiple healing abilities; however, for each healer-type one spell was dominant. Some effort was made in the numbers above to account for the actual spells used to give as realistic a picture as possible.
2. Effective healing from trinket (no overhealing) (15% proc rate and 12 sec cooldown)
Class...................# of secs / proc......# of proc's/minute....+heal/proc......+heal/minute
CoH priest.......................9.............................2.9...................500.................1458
CH Sham........................18............................2.0...................500.................1000
Pally/Priest (normal).........30...........................1.4....................500.................714
The simple assumption here is that to get a new proc, you must wait 12 seconds (for the previous proc to expire) and then you must wait to get your new proc according to the number of hits per second you are generating.
The obvious result: Those who are getting more hits/minute are getting more proc's, and therefore more beneficial effect.
Important note: The last column in this table is probably the bottom line most important value – the raid wants the trinket to go where it is going to deliver the maximum overall benefit.
3. Equivalent trinket value (no overhealing) (value = (+normalized heal/min)/(hits/minute))
Class..............................scale of +heal/ hit....normalized +heal/min....value as a +heal trinket
CoH priest...............................0.20...........................7292..............................156
CH Sham................................0.42...........................2400..............................108
Pally/Priest (normal)................0.43...........................1661..............................125
The point of this piece of analysis is to determine the question “What is the effective +healing value of this trinket for this situation?” In other words, “Should I use this trinket or should I use one of my other ones that deliver around +70 healing?”. In order to do this analysis, we have to consider that +heal scales differently in different uses, and must normalize accordingly (A flash heal gets different value from a +70 heal trinket then a chain heal does e.g.).
Shammy note: the scaling for Chain Heal is listed as 125%...I’m assuming that value is spread among 3 hits according to some formula...let me know if I’m wrong there, its very possible. Any increase in CH scaling from what I've used, lessens the value of this trinket relative to others.
CoH note: the scaling for CoH I used is because I notice apx. +400 healing to every hit given my apx. +2k healing.
Final, very important note: To really make sense of those numbers, over-healing must be considered. A direct/main healer (e.g. pally/priest) could get less beneficial effect of the trinket because the benefit plays out over 12 seconds...however this is true for all their trinkets.
4. Overhealing analysis:
Note, the overhealing analysis is more subjective then above, but probably an important analysis to do.
Below is overheal data from the same representative Void Reaver kill:
Class........................overheal %
CoH priest....................0.15
CH Sham......................0.1
Pally/Priest (normal)......0.4
Subjectivity suggests that the type of healing being done by the CoH Priest and Shammy (healing the melee folks who are not running out of the pounding) means that the +500 restoration effect of the trinket will receive some reasonable effect...maybe more then 50%. However, because of the 12 second time to deliver its full effect, the Pally/Priests will probably, in practice, receive very little of the trinket benefit...maybe less then 25%.
All things considered, if you’re a guild doing fights that require a lot of AOE healing, this trinket is probably best used by a CoH Priest or a Shammy. Because CoH healing is only useful in a select group of circumstances (and as a result few Priests even spec it), and because of the Shammy’s need for mana regen, the Shammy is probably the best all around recipient. The Pally’s are probably the worst due to the fact that their role necessitates a lot of overhealing and they have less need for mana/5 then either the Shammy or the Priest.
In general is it a good trinket? Maybe; its constant-equip value is probably mostly the 16 mana/5, with limited +healing (whats more important, 16 mana/5 and +5-20heal, or +70 healing?...you decide). Is it a good trinket if used situationally?...In the right circumstances, it is probably the best trinket in the game.

This is one of the best healing trinkets ingame for a shaman. Its a trinket with 15 % proc chance and drops of Void Reaver inside Tempest Keep.
Why its so great for shamans is becouse, A shaman do not have any kind of HoT (Healing over time) spells, And each "jump" of chain heal has 15 % to proc this. And chain heal is the primarty healing spell for a shaman. The proc do not scale with healing and there is a small hidden cooldown, It can proc once the HoT duration is finished. So a 12 sec hidden cooldown.
I would suggest every shaman that can to get there hands on this one.

As a shaman, I love this trinket when I'm soloing. When I have my Earthshield on myself, each tick of it has a chance of proccing the HoT.

It's worth noting that this trinket scales with +healing very slightly. It gets .02% of your +heal over the whole duration, each tick getting .006% of your +heal.
評論來自
14822
Not to challenge what you've seen, as I have no direct experience with this trinket, but 0.02% sounds extremely low - beyond being statistically detectable.
A 0.02% co-efficient means +5000 heals equates to +1 healing done. As you point out it's over the whole duration, and on a per tick basis you're detecting 0.006% per tick more heals. To see +1 healing done per tick in that situation you'd need +16,667 heal.

just tested fel reaver's piston and the ticks proc Shattered Sun Pendant of Restoration (scryer)
my i also add that the tick gains a incredibly small % of ur +healing. normal ticks for 125, i had it tick for 138 with +2037healing
also procs of earth shield whether it is on the tank or on urself. truely awesome trinket.

Now if it were affected by +healing, that would be in need of a hotfix :P

First of all WOW nice.
Second it would proc off of regrowth but only on the initial heal not the ticks.
Third what trinket that has healed you has ever benefited from +healing (answer being none)

15% proc rate.
Priest heals which proc it:
Circle of healing (yes, anyone affected)
Prayer of healing (yes, on anyone in party)
Binding Heal (yes, either person)
Holy Nova (yes, anyone in party)
Flash Heal (yes)
Greater Heal (yes)
Heal (yes)
Renew (no.)
All ranks of all heals seem to proc this, and with similar frequency.
This does NOT get any bonus from your +healing from items, it DOES get it from spec.
Long story short tho, it sucks. Get +healing or mp5 trinkets.

I know that everyone thinks that this is better for direct cast healers, but just fyi, this can proc of the final heal of lifebloom, which makes it quit nice for druids. I have it on my 70 reso druid in the test server and it is really nice. With this trinket procing, i can out heal any dps class with just lifebloom, rejuv, and a very rare swiftmend occasionaly.
Soo, just letting all the druids out there know that this trinket can proc off the end of lifebloom, the begining of regrowth, and healing touch(obviously)

As of patch 2.2
Fel Reaver’s Piston: This item will no longer be triggered by the healing generated by Vampiric Embrace.
It's not out quite yet as of this posting, but overpowered Shadowpriests (myself included) prepare to play a dirge...
On the plus side:
Mark of Defiance: This item is now triggered from landing harmful spells on a target, instead of just direct-damage spells.
Now all those DoTs and Channeled spells for SPs and Warlocks have a chance to Proc that tasty Thrallmar Token reward (looks like only on initial cast though, not on each tick /drat).

This item is especially effective for Circle of Healing and Prayer of Healing. Each hit from Circle of Healing (up to 5 hits total) only receives about 20% of your +healing and Prayer of Healing only about 40% or less (pretty crappy for a 3 second cast).
Since these aoe heals receive less of a boost from +healing, the proc from this trinket is more effective than a passive +healing bonus. Especially for Circle of Healing, which gets the full 500 healing over time even if it only gets 20% from normal +healing. Considering that each aoe heal gives you up to 5 chances to proc the trinket...
5 x 15% =
75% chance per cast to proc =
an average of 375 additional healing per cast
(Shut up mathematicians. I know there's a fancy formula for the percentage probability that an event will occur, but I don't really care)
Instant heals and low cast-time heals also benefit more from this trinket than a normal +healing trinket due to the low +healing bonus one gets from low cast-time heals. For a single target heal, you can expect an average of 75 additional healing per cast from this trinket's proc (not taking into consideration the fact that you can reapply the proc buff when it already exists). Whereas other trinkets in 25 mans are anywhere from 44 to 84 passive +healing, and less than half of that is used in a 1.5 sec or instant cast heal.

I was wondering first of what types of fights and more particularly what fights should i use this trinket in and which trinket i should switch it out for. I have 11k base mana and somewhere around +1620 bonus healing and 110mp5 with my current trinkets on not including the fel reaver piston.

Did I miss it or was it never answered if there's an internal CD on this?
If not it seems too crazy for Resto Shaman chain heal spams and circle of healing on Priests.
But even I would gladly take it for fights with lots of damage hitting the raid to worry a tiny bit less about keeping them up after I've healed. Not to mention I'm an endurance ^&*!@ so 16 mp5 makes me drool.

This is probably one of the most preferable trinket's at it's level of raiding for a holy paladin i'd say.
More specificly i'd say the ones who gains the most from this trinket,is a Paladin wich uses FoL and HL but focuses on FoL more. (No haste gear stacked for HL spam or so that is.)
Due to that 15% proc rate, and paladins of all classes not having a HoT,this is pretty much imba for them. And the 16 mp5 is nothing to look away from too, wich makes this trinket overall very desireable from an easy boss =).
Happy hunting folks!

I have to add that since ive been using it raid healing stats have put me in 1 or 2 position inn past 4 raids.

tested it at modern days BCC v. 2.5.2 as a COH priest
High Astromancer Solarian fight
duration :
4m 20s
procs :
40
total healed :
1,600 hp
total overheal :
4,276 hp
(72.5%)
average tick :
40 hp
extra hps :
6 hp
(through the entire duration of the fight)
I think COH priest can get by far the largest proc count across all classes, but even then it's doesn't yeild any tangible benefit compared to other trinket options avaliable to me.

Tested it out on a full SSC run.
as a resto shaman the hot ended up with 45.1K healing in total over 1737 spells.. it DOES prox on chain so included chains i had 3364 heals.
if i had used a trinket with 84+ healing as passiv effect it would have given me + 10.1K heal ( 3364 X 84 = 10.1K)
and the +16 mana pr 5 sec is also wery nice for a resto shaman.
find it odd that this trinket is not on ANY bis lists... seems like they only find the gear with most +heal on and call that a BIS and dont care at all about stats or effects
in my eyes this is BIS trinket nr 1 for any aoe healer

I wanted to confirm that this DOES seem to benefit from +healing (on TBC anniversary). Trinket says it heals for 500, but my priest with 1696 +healing is having it heal for 550. So it seems to benefit from around 3% of your +healing. Not very impressive, but worth mentioning.
