You COULD go for those leggings in mech; they do have str, sta and crit which are important stats.
What they don't have however is int.
A lot of retribution paladins make the mistake of gearing up in warrior gear and thereby gimping their mana pool. In pvp it wont matter that much, because you'll die around the same time your pool would have been empty anyway in most cases, unless you're really good (in which case you'll be going for/having arena gear anyway).
If you're a PvE ret paladin however, you'll make a grave mistake by gearing in warrior gear because you wont be able to keep your dps up with no mana pool to support it.
CAN you take one or two warrior items?
Of course you can. It wont break you to take the mecha legs... but it will break you if that's how you gear consistently.

Whether these or the mecha ones are best will depend entriely on what you have already. If you're already half a warrior, then I would go with these without a question.
If all your gear has int already, then by all means go for the mecha ones.

The 28 spell damage is being replaced with an additional 12 strength in patch 2.4.

I'm not convinced 2.4 is going to make Retribution Paladins any more viable in PvE. Here is a suggestion. Put a talent deep in the Retribution tree that gives +5/10/15/20/25% intellect. Call it Improved Divine Intellect or something. Retribution Paladins are punished severely in stat budgets per the need for dps stats and intellect.

This is a game, it should make room for every spec to be viable in raids. For the idiotic, a Retribution Paladin serves very nicely grouped with a Protection Paladin to boost his TPS. Think of Void Reaver or Leotheras the Blind for example, or any fight where threat management is critical. Succesful raiding requires cooperation, something the trolls on these forums wouldn't know much about.

Oh my god.

I stack intel, look at me, 8000 mana!

Maybe I should start stacking strength and only get intel where it will help, yeah! :D

Now I do 800 per hit and have 5000 mana! :D

Oh, hehe, my auto-attack ALSO does more damage, and so does seal of command. And now hat I'm mana efficient, I don't need that much extra intel, I've shaved off hundreds of mana! :D

Okay. End of story. Stack strength and supplement with mana. The point is that all your attacks are based off of your damage. That means that if you do 1200 damage per hit, crusader strike will do 1320 and SoC will do 840 per hit, SoC ignoring armor, so in the end you will be doing MORE damage with less intel. That's the moral. If you want to learn it fine, and if you want to be stuck with intel and doing no damage, fine too.

Just learn the mechanics before you start saying what's what plz.
