These are very nice boots and the blue sockets can still be used by sticking in two Infused Nightseyes. That gives 16ap and 4mp5 and u get the added 6 ap from the set bonus as well.

These are much better than the fiend slayer boots and by the time a guild can down this boss, most hunters should have plenty of hit rating already if not maxed.

Vs. Fiend Slayer Boots with one Infused Nightseye and one Bright Living Ruby:
Disadvantage:
lose 11 stam
lose 1.1% hit chance

The stamina is not very important for pve and if a hunter ever needs to wear stam gear, I would use the pvp boots instead of the Fiend Slayer anyways. The hit rating can be made up by swapping your rings around for the hit rating.

Advantages:
gain 4 agi (4ap and .1%crit)
gain 2 int (mana and 1ap as MM)
gain 30ap
gain 6mp5

The benefits obviously outweigh the disadvantages.

I think I'd prefer these over the Vashj boots just because losing 15 stam doesn't really hurt me at all, and the int difference is only 9, which means 4 less AP for me (45% int=ap from talents) I guess the only thing that might hurt is the fact that the socket bonus is 6ap rather than 3 agi, but oh well, thats only a minor thing, the 4mp5 heavily outweighs 15 stam and 9 int.
These boots stack up to:
45 agi (with enchant)
13 stam
18 int
90 ap (from 2xInfused Nightseyeand 8 ap from intellect)
8mp5

8mp5>15 stam, 9 int, and maybe 0.15% crit, at the cost of ap

GJ blizz, item lvl 128>138 in this case

id love these simply for the fact they are not only pretty decent but the 2 blue sockets are very nice which is somewhat rare to find on good hunter gear which i need the sockets so my meta gem effect works... i hate having to work around that.

Any clue on these vs Boots of the crimson hawk? I have crimson hawk now, and we're working on alar...hopefully solarian soon. Wondering what is better for a BM hunter.

i agree on the stamina. In many fights it is true that hunters and other ranged classes dont take as much damgage, but there are some powerful AOEs and u need to hav alot of health to survive should u be hit
