Not worth the badges unless you have already purchased everything else you want. You can run non-heroic old hillsbrad and get cloak of impulsiveness (https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/item=27423#M0z) which is nearly identical to this cape (-3 agility, -2 stamina, -6 attack power) and save your badges for a bloodlust brooch, ring of arathi warlords, etc.

Edit: But if you're big on looks this might just be worth the badges :P sexiest cloak in game by far.

The Cloak of Malice is your a great alternative with similar stats. For DPS classes, Blood Knight only gives you an extra .57 DPS gain from Malice, and 30 HP which is negligible really... so unless you are in dire need of DPS gear, then I would advise not to go crazy grabbing Badges of Justice for this. It is a sexy cloak tho, but the expense might be better spent on Bloodlust Brooch (41 Badges OUCH!) https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/item=29383 also sold by the Sha'tar Vendors.

Here's a small list of feasible alternatives that are a good bit easier to acquire. I put in parenthesis the points gained/lost from using these cloaks vs. Blood Knight.

Cloaks with the a very similar type of stat focus as Blood Knights are:

Rogues actually want to "settle" for ~15% hit +5% from Precision (assuming combat raiding rogue) which is ~225-250hit

Good Rogues hang out at around the cap of 304 without gimping other stats..

I'm sitting at 270hit with Cloak of the Inciter and am pickin this up as soon as I get the badges. Bought the BB and CoV Intent already.

As for why no Dark Reavers, 14 shade kills - 0 drops. Eventually you get sick of waiting :)

This is a fine cloak. Reavers is way better for rogue. The hitcap is 310. (309 but due to display issue it is 310), And alll rogues should be here. if u need the hit, get Inciter or Reaver when it drops, if you need the AP, Get this.

If you were thinking of buying this, stop and farm Ahune instead (at least until July 4th).

However, for 50 more badges you can get Dory's Embrace, which is better than this.

This seems to be, by far, one of the best melee dpser cloaks out there. What really is appealing about this cloak is...no insane raids required. Making this a heroic reward was really awesome, and makes it much more attainable than other cloaks of equal "value/scale". Just run your 5 heroic mechs and 'tada' new epic :)

I really like this on my rogue. Far too many players seem to forget the value of stamina on a rogue. The high agility, ap, and stam on this cloak makes it ideal for rogues ...though not exclusively for them.

Toss on a +12 agility enchant to this cloak and it cant be beat! The Vengence wrap and others just dont compare. People put too much blind faith into attack power buffs on items - forgetting that agility is a key aspect on rogues to round out their crit rating, dodge, and more!

I often hear the arguement "your a rogue not a tank..dont worry about your dodge" - and then watch said rogue get 1 shot hit dead in a heroic...even with evasion. Why? No dodge rating.

Dodge is still a key stat on rogues - in a number of heroids, pvp raids, and well...anything Ive had to 'evasion tank' on my rogue. With my rogues dodge rating almost right at 29%, when I hit evasion ...NOTHING...even in heroics and raids can hit me. This few seconds of evasion glory can often save a party: giving a tank time to regain aggro, or the party a chance to burn down the target.

On that note: rogues do need stamina for when they do get hit. I've seen a number of rogues at lvl 70 in great items running around with less than 7400 health...that's appaling for raiding, pvp, and heroics. Rogues are not tanks, however they still do get hit for a number of reasons....a rogue is only useful if its still alive after being hit.

So yes...imo this is one of the best cloaks for rogues in the game. The stats are awesome for many dps melee classes. Imo I think the Thalassian Wildercloak is perhaps the #1 cloak for rogues / melee dpsers as of the time of this post.

Hm, im saving for this right now, and im a hunter, Is it good for me as well as for a rogue? its got all taht i need, agi, stam, +ap, but not intel (dint expect it to have intel) so saying that, should i get this as a hunter instead of some other cape?

Just got this with my feral druid ftw, one of the best cat dps cloaks in the game and easy to get. A nice upgrade from my https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/item=28529/阿拉希諸王皇家披風 and after i got the +12 agi enchant, headed to Eye of the Storm and broke 3k shred crit for the first time (3116 against a priest ftw)

A wicked cape and it matches my gladiator's dragonhide gloves :))

Got this today on my hunter finally, Heroic mech seems to be the easiest to do, but the Elemental boss is a pain, we downed her on second try though, our group was amazing, got to calculator and downed him for my last badge, after that i got this, and now im sitting at 7846 health on my hunter, its awesome, and my attack power shot up to, i had cloak of the craft before this, so it was a nice upgrade, well ne wayz its worth it for Hunters, dps warr, and rogues the most, its useful to others to, but not as much so

Incidentally, does anyone else find it ironic that the Blood Knight War Cloak is primarily a hunter/etc item (not something a paladin would normally use), while the Farstrider Defender's Cloak is primarily a warrior/paladin tank item (and _not_ something a Ranger-type would use)?
