This dagger would probably make a good pre-raid offhand weapon in a mutilate build, however, it's damage rating is nothing exceptional (Riftmaker comes into mind), so if this is your mainhand it won't stay there for long.

The boss it drops off is known to be a pain to farm even in normal mode, this would be quite an undertaking to farm in heroic.

Perhaps your time would be better spent elsewhere?

I got this dagger. Dropped of the last boss in heroic arc. Did it with Rogue(me), prot tank, holy/disc priest, elemental shaman and holy pally.

I'm guessing this dagger drops by Mennu The Betrayer in The Slave Pens on Heroic Difficulty. Could be wrong though :)

From doing research on several sites, it's a .1% drop off of Harbinger Skyriss in The Arcatraz. Shoot for the 12% drop from the same guy 飢餓裂脊匕首

I would never want this dagger as a hunter, because you are going to lose so much stam from having this weapon that it's just not worth the little bit of attack power you are going to get. There are much better weapons for hunters with stat's, and AP, and if you use a 2h you can always get savagry and get an extra 70 AP out of it.

For rogues however, I agree that it is a GREAT pre-tier main hand dagger, even with no stats. 60 AP for a rogue is insance, especially with this daggers DPS.

Its not about which skill is better. Obviously one its own Mutilate will hit for almost twice that of Backstab. Its a superior skill. And there is a good number of Combat Dagger Rogues out there btw. Backstab still wont deal more damage than Mutilate, but the spec isn't meant to be focused around one attack but rather getting higher white damage and large crit ratings.

No such thing as a hunter dagger. Hunter axes/pole-arms..but hunter daggers...no. If you're a hunter and you're concerned about your hand to hand, you suck. If you have a drop of skill you shouldn't ever to come face to face with anything you fight.

Which is why rogues devour all non-marx hunters and GET devoured BY marx hunters.

however, I do not predict this boss will be downed so much with scrap gear attained through heroics alone...much less in a pug, but...

my mutilate hits for bout 1.6-2k none crits on crits 2-2.5k crits....but since im backstab adrenline for raids my backstab is a crit 70% of the time it hits bout 2k average and over all its better then mutilate......mutilate is rly nice but adrenline backstabs are better for raids better average DPS till i get 2 mercless glad daggers the slow 1s

Ya bunch of chuckin noobs, wether it is good for this or good for that is stupid, let me spell it out S-T-U-P-I-D. It is a damn nice dagger and a WAY better item you will ever get outside of a heroic, in my experience the hardest thigs to find are good leggings and good weapons, I am a DW shammy and if no one else wanted this I would use it in PvE, it is nice, nough said........chuckin noobs

Lol, I need 5 items from this dude: this dagger, the boots, the 2 gems, and the helm that also drops in normal ^___^. but mostly i want this, coz along with the Feltooth Eviscerator (see wowwiki.com/Vazruden to get more info about where it drops) it would pwn evry1 for all eternity! MWAHAHAHAHAAA! btw, then when i specced mutilate, then backstab still did more dmg than mutilate... an backstab almost always crits, and with seal fates that also gives 2 CP, so i don't care about mutilate! this boss is god of drops for rogues when doing heroic! HE RLY IS! 2 gems, epic boots, epic dagger, and a cool rare helm from a set with xtreme cool bonuses... i just wish that the peeps on Azjol-Nerub would be nice enough to help me doing the instance -_-*. GL with the harbinger evry1!

unless my math is off this is what i broke it down to

30 stam 1.5% hit (Sonic spear)VS 1% crit small amount Atp(1Hers)

so.. they both have advantages and disadvantages and have their place, but you know... use your judgement ;)

also... they look REALLY cool on my belt ;)

but i found for striaght ap duel weild for a hunter this thing rocks,
just remember if u want this from herioc arc dont grp with a rogue or possible ur dumb neighborly fury warrior he needs daggers,
then go for it, cause if it drops, its urs!
