Before we add gems to the sockets (but assume we match socket bonus) felfury has -10 AP +2 crit rating -17 hit rating and -3 stamina, and a loss of some armor that nobody cares about.

What combination of gems could you possibly socket in here to make up 10 AP 17 hit and 3 stamina?

Total mats needed in bars/primals and ores/motes:

Primal mights:
3 primal earth / 30 motes of earth.
3 primal water / 30 motes of water.
3 primal air / 30 motes of air.
3 primal fire / 30 motes of fire
3 primal mana / 30 motes of mana.

Felsteel bars:
30 fel iron bar / 60 fel iron ore.
20 eternium bar / 40 eternium ore.

And of course expect to pay a fee for the primal nether.

Comapration between Windstrike Gloves and Felfury Gauntlets for Enhancement Shamans.

Considering that we should socket Felfury Gauntlets with Bold Living Ruby and Sovereign Nightseye if we are to keep max item value, and weighting the final weapon stats with raid entry values, we get that Windstrike Gloves has 126.1 EP while Felfury Gauntlets have 121.21 EP.

Also consider that with the sample socketing we get 11 more Stamina, we could forfeit the socket bonus(worth 4.02 EP) using 2 Bold Living Rubies (worth 8 EP more than Sovereign Nightseyes) and getting the Felfury Gauntlets up to 125.19 EP (with just 5 more stamina than Windstrike Gloves).
This could improve even further if you're lucky enough to have a Shifting Tanzanite(weird gem, 2 "red" stats in a blue+red gem) to put in the blue slot, bringing Felfury Gauntlets up to 130.17 EP.

Long story short, if any of these reasons:

You don't miss that often
You need more crit than AP(to keep flurry and unleashed rage up)
You have access to epic gems(BoP JC gems, PvP gems, Heroics Gems)
You enjoy upgrading the stuff you have
You think Felfury mats are more accessible

applies to you go for The Felfury, if not, Windstrike.

I use these on my hunter right now, and as an arena PvP spec these are definitely keepers, in lieu of the arena set offering. Mass stamina buff and sockets. If you measure them against the current pre-2.1 arena set offering (don't think they are changing but I could be wrong) you'll actually lose crit rating if you opt for the arena set.

It is a trade off though, maintaining a higher crit rating vs losing 17 resilience. I'll have to try it out when I finish everything else, but I'm thinking these gloves are actually better in the long run given their super nice stats.

For a BOE, these are definitely worth the cheap mats to have made for you even if you are not into PvP.

Is it me or these are better than T5 for DPS?
They Lack INT and MP5 but it's not like it's not enough int on all other hunter gear.. look like if you want to MAX your damage this is the best option by far.. well except the dragon slayer ones from Gruul.

Either these are too good ot our T4/T5 sucks:(

I do say that i think this is one of the easiest epics to farm for, the only hard part is finding a crafter, took me 4 hrs to farm the 3 primal mights and 10 fel iron

Comparing Netherdrake Gloves vs Felfury Gauntlets:

Raw Stats:
Netherdrake Gloves have 26 Agi, 24 Stam, and 23 Int
Felfury Gauntlets have 30 Stam

AP/Crit:
Netherdrake Gloves have 50 AP
Felfury Gauntlets have 40 and 27 crit rating (1.2%) at 70.

Final Analysis:
Roughly 22 crit rating is needed for 1% crit, which Netherdrake has none. Felfury has 1.2% crit, being that it has 27. Since 40 Agi = 1% chance to crit, Netherdrake has only 26 Agi which makes its crit chance .6%.

Netherdrake has more AP, factoring the 10 from raw AP and the extra 26 from Agi coming to a total of 35 more AP. This can be rectified being that Felfury Gauntlets are socketed although it may be difficult/costly.

Netherdrake has Int (about 345). Felfury has minimally more stamina of 6 (about 60 health).

Simplest answer: Felfury Gauntlets are better if you have access to good quality gems. If you do not, go with Netherdrake.

Beast Lord are almost as good as either of the above (with decent gems ofc) and has a nice 2 part set bonus as well.

If you want to maximise and squeeze those extra few crit/ap and have money to waste then go for the epics. However as a long term raider it makes little difference with those extra few points.

The Easiest way to get this Cheaply is to Farm for it:

Primal Mightx3:
3xPrimal Fire- Farmed off the Fire Elementals in Shadowmoon
3xPrimal Air- Farmed off any Air Elementals in Nagrand
3xPrimal Water- Farmed off Water Elementals in Shadowmoon
3xPrimal Mana- Farmed off Blue/Purple Elementals in Netherstorm
3xPrimal Earth- Action House(they cheap usally under 5g for 1)
3xTransmutes- Find alchemist through your guild or Trade channel to transmute the Primal Might for you
Felsteel Barx10:
30xFel Iron Bar- Buy them from the AH usually 20g for a stack
20xAdramite Bar- Buy them from the AH usually 40g for a stack
Primal Netherx1:
1xPrimal Nether- You need to buy this from the crafter, Chances will is that he/she will charge over 175g for it cause he/she might b the only crafter on the sever.

REMEMBER that if there is no crafter on your sever then you shouldn't bother.

BTW: These gloves give me more DMG then the T4 gloves

lmao... seen these on AH today i was like wow... but 700g i wasnt really willing to part with. so i went on about my business when someone wanted to trade primals well i noticed it was guy selling the gloves. I got him to make me some for mats, 100g for his nether. I got these for a low 200g... but i already had the mights which was another 300 if i had sold them. But hey these gloves are awesome.
