You can see a ghost called Bodley in front of Blackrock Spire entrance with this device. Thottbot says he is part of an alliance quest and I don't think he has anything to do with the horde. I'm horde so I was a bit surprised to see him and talk with him hehe.

Anyone found anything fun with this device?

Use the Extra-Dimensional Ghost Revealer infront of the Meeting stone for Stratholme, many posts here aren't very clear about where to use it.

Since this gets left in the bag after using it to talk to the ghost in front of Stratholme, does this mean it can be used elsewhere in the world for other purposes? I for one wouldn't be surprised if they put an easter egg somewhere, but I haven't heard of anything yet...

I accidentaly destroyed my Extra-Dimensional Ghost Revealer after finishing the quest In Search of Anthion, can I still go back to the guy in Tanaris and get it again since we need it later in the Tier 0.5 questline?

If you have destroyed your ghost revealer and is freaking out because you wanted to do the quest anyway, calm down. Just go to tanaris and speak to the guy from the earlier quests, and he gives you a new one, for free. You don't have to abondon any quests or nothing, so it isn't a problem :)

I just tested it. This item does not work whatsoever. You can't see ghosts in stealth and you can see spirit healers (which means you can't see dead players.)

This item does not let you see/do the priest benediction quest.

Extra-Dimensional Ghost Revealer

ok i know what its for...but PLEASE tell me step by step how to get the item.
I asked in-game and nobody knew. One person said I get it from a dwarf in Plaguewood, but one of the posts on here implies that u get it from a goblin in tanaris. I spoke to every goblin in gadgetzan but no-go, I ran around in Plaguewood for a few hours...but i couldnt find anyhting. Maybe it was in Tanaris, but not in Gadgetzan? Maybe I was in the wrong part of Plaguewood?

Please tell me what I need to gather if its a crafted item, or if its something i get from a questgiver: please list coordinates of the questgiver.

It's for seeng ghost near the gates of Stratholme. This is for the next step to upgrade tier 0.5(shoulders, pants and feet)

Hey! I destroyed my Extra-Dimensional Ghost Revealer, not realizing that I'd need it again in order to turn in The Challenge quest. I freaked, but then I was told to go to Tanaris and talk to the guy that made the revealer for you and he will give you another. It worked! No need to drop quest or cry. :D This item only works in front of Strat's main intrance, smack dab in the middle of the end of the bridge.

Person you need is in Gadgetzan, NE corner, named Mux Manascrambler. He will give you one.

The buff will apply on Caer Darrow (and presumably anywhere else) but it does not allow you to see the ghosts outside Scholomance
