90 Attack Power will give you a 6.4 damage per second boost, which over the duration of the effect should slightly under 96 extra points of damage (depending on your weapons speed) if you are only using autoattacks.

As well when you use this item, it will summon a tiny black panther at your side for the duration of the buff. No game effect but it is awfully cute.

There are quite a number of designs around the world available for purchase. I do not think being able to purchase this item constitutes a bug, and it's definetly nice for a rogue or feral druid in the low levels. This can be purchased from a Theramore female NPC in the first house to the left of the flight master, and is likewise on a limited supply.

Well, if it is bugged then I encourage all rogues and druids to pick one up fast, before Blizzard realizes this and removes it from the vendor. It certainly has its uses, even at higher levels.

And of course and as always, it's a lot easier for Alliance to get their hands on this one.

Hordes have to go through the entire Stranglethorn Vale (have fun with those animals), pass Darkshire (woohoo) and go through the Deadwind pass (pray no one has pulled out one of those lvl 55 birdies into your path). Enjoy the ganking on PVP servers. Add the fact that worldwide, there are 2 Alliance chars for each Horde char, and your odds of having a fun trip decay rapidly.

A Night Elf can fetch this as lvl 1 without any problems at all. Run through the woods to Darnassus, take the ship to Auberdeen, switch ships and go to Theramore. Done! The other races must go through Wetlands (lvl 21 mobs at the highest) to find the ship. Still, unless you are unlucky, you won't see a single Horde char.

Still, this is a very good trinket. Possible one of the better you can have for a very long time.

Why is this thing BoP? its good, but not that good. I think its unfair to rogue and druid (and the odd warrior/pally/hunter) players to have this denied from us because of a profession choice.

It says 15 seconds, but I've noticed on my 39 Rogue that it debuffs itself w/ 3 seconds remaining each time (and the AP obviously drops down at this time) so it's actually 12 seconds for me - Not that I'm complaining it's a great trinket for that level.

The item is in limited suply, however the respawn timer in december of 2006 is only 3 to 5 minutes. Given that most items that are limited have a much longer timer I expect this low timer may change.

The item IS available now for purchase as an actual item. Limited supply of one, so good luck getting it. When you use the trinket a small panther is summoned which lasts for the duration of the buff. The vendor also sells the figurine - truesilver crab.

It serves as an adorable omen of death for my NE druid. If you see it prepare to be ravaged by a much larger, prowling kitty. Grawr!

By the way, the fact that the vendor sells the actual panther and not just the recipe is a bug. These trinkets should not be purchaseable. The vendors should have the recipe; some programmer screwed up andput the actual item in.

According to worldofraids.com the vendor has been fixed in the latest beta push, and so soon (maybe at beta) the live servers will no longer have this item available.

I bought this and the truesilver crab from the same vendor, they are cheap! the Use effects dont last long but still better than nothing, i use one then the other when in combat. If you dont have any trinkets you may as well get these for the bargain.

as of 1/3/07, this is how the item works:
you equip it just like a trinket and it will increase your stealth level. when you use it, it will make a little black panther follow you around (like a minipet) for the duration of the effect. the trinket it not consumed, you can use it over and over on a 5 minute cooldown.
the buff says it lasts for 15 seconds but when it reaches 3 seconds left, the buff disappears, so it only really lasts 12 seconds.

This has a very very long respawn time and she only stocks 1 per spawn.. Your best bet is to try and get it on off hours... So you happened to check when someone already bought one.

I went over and got this from the vendor on my druid a little before the hotfix. He was 27 at the time, so it was a little interesting navigating to swamp of sorrows.

I'm a little sore that all these jewelcrafting trinkets are BOP, though; I'd love to start making them and pass them around to all of my characters.

I have the Rare version Figurine - Nightseye Panther on my 70 rogue that I just made and it doesn't break stealth. I also have this on my 37 druid because I bought it when you could get it from the vendor. Hopeing once I can use it I can use it from stealth as well. Yes I replaced my ZHM with this. Has 54 AP on equip which is better than the ZHM even in groups and raids. As far as I know this is the only trinket you can use that doesn't break stealth which makes it better than any other trinket I have since I'm sub build and my opener is usually an ambush. Popping a trinket before stealth only gives you a short amount of time to actually use the buff and more is wasted tryin to get to the target.

This trinket is as effective as 1 talent point in Master of Deception.

I was fortunate enough to pick one up before it became crafted BoP, and I keep it in my backpack at all times. Useful in 2v2 arenas when you know there's another stealthed guy somewhere and want the best chance to get the jump.

Everyone can get it, the recipie is limited supply for both factions. U must make it for ureself as the item will be soulbound to the maker of it. It brakes stealth for rogues, the lvl70 version does not. The cat spawns for the duration of the buff, 15 secs, then despawns.
