difference between the two (ebru & this one) :
gloves of ebru :
+2 int
+7 damage & healing
gauntlets of kalimdor :
+170 armor
+14 str
+10 spi

I don't think 2 int & 7 to spells is worth it. Unless you plan on being a support shaman healing in the back 100% of the time maybe ? in which case you should be a priest

These are pvp gloves. Gloves of ebru are nice - I'd use them if they dropped, but these are better. A good shaman in pvp should be well geared for melee, healing and nuking. Spirit is far from wasted, especially with our regen being as horrendous as it is.

All that said. I wish they would give us 2 versions. One version for the enhancement shamans with +nat damage and str and another for the elemental shamans more alon the lines of gloves of ebru.

LET US decide what proportion of melee to elemental stats we want instead of enforcing it with crappy itemization!

gauntlets of kalimdor have 14 str 10 spirit and a bit of armor compared to gloves of ebru. Much better IMO.
